RESUMO

In order to investigate the action of calcium antagonists on metabolism of intracellular macromolecules, The authors observed the effects of verapamil on the incor-poration of 〔 3H 〕 TdR, 〔 3H 〕 UR and 〔 3H 〕 Leu into human fibroblasts. The inhibitory effects on DNA and RNA synthesis were concentration dependent, ID50 was l2.3mg/L and 22mg/L, respectively. The inhibitory effect on the synthesis of protein was weak.

RESUMO

This paper studied the comparatively the changes of incorporation of ~3H-leucine into mitochondria of the liver from two groups of rats, one group fed with Se-deficiency diet from Keshan disease endemic area and the after with the same diet supplemented with sedium selenite. The results of our experiments indicated that the specific activity on incoporation of ~3H-leucine and hepatic GSH-px activity and contents of hepatic Se were significantly decreased and the TBA value was remarkably increased in the Se-deficiency diet group. The results suggested that the decrease of hepatic Se and GSH-px activities in the Se-deficiency rats might cause the accumulation of lipid hydroperoxides, which could lead to the destruction of the synthesie of protein in mitochondria. This may be one of important reasons which cause the decrease of respiratory enzyme activity in the cell.

RESUMO

The study was made on 3H-leucine incorporation into brain of offsprings born by their mothers who were fed in severe iodine deficiency area. Control group received an iodine-supplemented diet (1.7mg KIO3/kg food). Disintegration per minute (dpm) was used as an index to assess the 3H-leu-cine incorporation rate in comparision of the two groups.The results of 3H-leucine incorporation into brain showed that the dpm/mg of brain cortex and cerebellum was significantly lower in experimental group than that of control group at the time of 1-14 hours after injection of the preparation on 11-day offsprings (p
