Objective:This study conducted a statistical analysis of the 2010 to 2019 Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award to understand its current situation and research hotspots, to provide references for medical science and technology investigators and administrators.Methods:Through the official website of the Chinese Medical Association, the 2010 to 2019 Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award data was collected. Information includes gender of the awardees, award level, geographical distribution, discipline distribution, and completion unit of the first person was analyzed. Network metrology, social network analysis and word cloud graph analysis are used to analyze the " development status" , " cooperative relationship" and " research hotspots" of medical research in China.Results:The total number of winning projects was 857. Among them, the number of first, second, and third prizes were 76, 249 and 475. Beijing is the area with the largest number of winners (277), followed by Shanghai (167) and Jiangsu (92). Among the winning projects, the top 3 subject were oncology, cardiology, orthopaedics, general surgery with percentages accounted by 9.78%, 7.94%, 6.21%.Conclusions:The geographical distribution of winning projects presented a regional concentration trend. The disciplines of award-winning projects have been diversified, especially in oncology. The gender ratio of principal investigators is uneven, most were male. Future research should pay more attention to multidisciplinary, cross-regional facilitation, and promote the coordinated development of holistic medicine.

Objective:By analyzing State Science and Technology Awards in the medical fields from 2000 to 2020, this paper aims to provide possible references for the development, transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements under the context of new evaluation mechanism, to further improve the effectiveness of scientific research management.Methods:Accessing in to the website of National Office For Science & Technology Awards to obtain information of Science & Technology Awards in the field of Medicine, analyze and characterize the different types of awarded scientific and technological achievements.Results:The awarded medical achievements in the past 21 years were mainly aimed at the common and frequently encountered diseases in China, with the most achievements related to cancer and tumor disease, followed by cardiovascular disease and infectious disease. Universities accounted the highest proportion of awards thus becoming the main force of medical scientific and technological innovation, while more balance was needed in regional and organizational distribution. The first prizes of State Natural Science Award and State Technological Invention Award are visibly vacant.Conclusions:Priorities should be given to foster original scientific and technological achievements, to train elite medical talent, to solve the regional imbalance of medical innovation strength and to develop high-tech medical enterprises with international competitiveness, thus solving major medical challenges.

El objetivo de esta publicación es crear las condiciones para el otorgamiento del premio "Maestro de la Neurocirugía". Para el reconocimiento de una persona, se tienen en cuenta la relevancia de sus acciones en virtud de sus aportes a una organización. El respeto que nos brinda el reconocimiento es lo que nos aumenta la autoestima. Para el reconocimiento laboral no alcanza con un simple agradecimiento. Es necesario crear un espacio en donde cada uno pueda desarrollar sus intereses y alcanzar sus objetivos, y poner a disposición todo lo necesario para facilitar y simplificar el trabajo. El propósito del reconocimiento como maestro es el de destacar una trayectoria vital en el ejercicio de una especialidad médica. El premio sería una recompensa dada por algún mérito o servicio para resaltar aquellos valores que permitieron el desarrollo de la especialidad, reconocer su compromiso, distinguir al esfuerzo realizado en la formación del recurso humano y valorar los logros técnico-científicos
The objective of this publication is to create the conditions for the award "Master of Neurosurgery". For the recognition of a person, the relevance of their actions by virtue of their contributions to an organization are taken into account. The respect that recognition gives us is what increases our self-esteem. For job recognition, a simple thank you is not enough. It is necessary to create a space where everyone can develop their interests and achieve their objectives and make available everything necessary to facilitate and simplify the work. The purpose recognition as master is to highlight a vital career in the practice of a medical specialty. The award would be a reward given for some merit or service, to highlight those values that allowed the development of the specialty, recognize their commitment, distinguish the effort made in the training of human resources and value technical-scientific achievements

Background: World has become more awards centric probably because of the desire to recognize achievement is an integral part of being human. Awards and trophies are big business in 21st century and they are given to people of all ages by all kind of organizations. Physiotherapy profession has a long history of awards all over the globe but the current status of physiotherapy awards in India is hardly studied, documented or published in recent times and hence to get an insight of the same this survey research was done by inviting physiotherapy professionals with varying work experience, professional qualifications and achievements across the country.Methods: A qualitative research approach was used to conduct an online survey of physiotherapists in India. A brief questionnaire with basic information and strategic questions about awards and perception of physiotherapists were used for this purpose.Results: Informants reported that there hardly any award given by government to recognize the contribution of physiotherapists to the society. Most of they believed that it’s because of lack of political will and absence of central regulatory authority or council for physiotherapy profession in India. Most of them were happy about the award given by nongovernmental organizations but were not satisfied with its credibility, transparency in the process and selection of winners and felt mostly it’s a biased practice.Conclusions: There is need for some sort of awards and recognition of physiotherapists’ contribution to health care and the society by government and the process of selection for some nongovernmental awards need to be more transparent and unbiased.

Objective In order to enhance the overall promotion of science and technology awards ,as well as administra-tion .Methods Combined with the particular procedures of the China Anti-Cancer Association Science and Technology Award , this paper analyzed the application of medical science and technology award evaluation system .Results The system improved the standardization of recommendation work ,increased the rigor of review process and enhanced the working efficiency of ad-ministrative department .However ,with the development of new technologies such as big data ,artificial intelligence ,along with the information needs of "healthy China" and other global ,relevance characteristics ,the system should bring in more brand-new design ideas and the function extension .Conclusions The system should constantly adapt to new needs ,focusing on the whole process of medical science and technology reward to expand the system function and strengthen the integration with related systems can promote the overall improvement of scientific and technological awards .

El Dr. Félix Alberto A. Companioni Landín, Doctor en Ciencias, es un indiscutible ejemplo para todos los docentes y profesionales de la Estomatología cubana. El objetivo de esta semblanza es divulgar los principales aspectos de su trayectoria profesional, docente y científica. Para su confección se utilizaron como fuentes más importantes: el curriculum vitae del profesor y una entrevista realizada a él. Después de graduarse de enfermero, ingresó a la Carrera de Estomatología, y se convirtió en profesor de Anatomía Humana y un ferviente investigador; obtuvo el título de Doctor en Ciencias Específicas en 1975 y el de Doctor en Ciencias con su investigación y libro Contribución a la Historia de la Estomatología Cubana. Es autor además de varios libros de textos para la carrera de Estomatología y artículos científicos con los resultados de sus investigaciones. Le fue otorgado el Premio al Mérito Científico por la obra de toda la vida en la XLII edición del Concurso Premio Anual de la Salud en 2017. Companioni Landín es una personalidad dentro de la Estomatología cubana, ejemplo de profesor e investigador, con una destacada actividad científica no solo en su especialidad, la Anatomía Humana, sino también en la Historia de la Estomatología, que lo han hecho acreedor de ser el primer estomatólogo que en el período revolucionario ocupe un lugar como Académico de Honor en la Academia de Ciencias de Cuba.
Félix Alberto Companioni Landín, PhD, is a Doctor of Philosophy and an unquestionable example for all teachers and professionals of Cuban Dentistry. The main objective of this life history is to spread information about his professional career as a professor, teacher, and researcher. The most important sources of information used to write this article were his curriculum vitae and an interview made to him. After graduating as a nurse, he began the studies of Dentistry, and he later became a professor of Human Anatomy and an enthusiastic researcher. He graduated as Doctor in Specific Sciences in 1975, and Doctor of Philosophy with the presentation of his book and research named Contribución a la Historia de la Estomatología Cubana. He is also author of several textbooks and scientific articles, which were written especially for the studies of Dentistry. He received the Scientific Merit Award for all his life´s work in the 42nd edition of the Annual Health Prize of Public Health. Companioni Landín is a personality in the field of Cuban Dentistry, and an example of professor and researcher, with a notorious scientific activity not only in his specialty (Human Anatomy), but also in the History of Dentistry. He earned the merit of being the first dentist who, during the revolutionary period, hold a place as Honorary Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba.

O presente artigo homenageia Roosevelt M. S. Cassorla, analista didata da SBPSP, vencedor do prêmio Sigourney Award 2017. Sua colaboração à psicanálise forma um amplo conjunto de contribuições, entre as quais se dá especial destaque à sua particular conceituação teórico-clínica e as atividades de publicação, resultantes de um fecundo percurso. E nele se evidencia a revisão do conceito de enactment, assim como a diferenciação entre enactment crônico e enactment agudo feita pelo autor. Nesta mesma direção, as autoras destacam em linhas gerais as experiências do campo analítico, em que a dupla analista-paciente oscila entre áreas de sonho-a-dois e não-sonho.
This paper is a homage to Roosevelt M. S. Cassorla, Training Psychoanalyst of the Brazilian Psychoanalytic Society of São Paulo (SBPSP). He won the 2017 Sigourney Award. His collaboration to Psychoanalysis includes a wide range of contributions, among which there are his own theoretical and clinical conceptualizations. His published works, which are also emphasized in this paper, are the outcome of a prolific path. The authors highlight, in this regard, his revision of the concept of enactment, as well as the differentiation between chronic enactment and acute enactment. The authors emphasize, on this matter, Cassorla's experiences in the psychoanalytic field in which the analyst-patient pair oscillates between areas of dream-for-two and non-dream.
El presente artículo rinde homenaje a Roosevelt M. S. Cassorla, analista didata SBPSP, ganador del Premio Sigourney Award 2017. Su colaboración con el Psicoanálisis consiste en un amplio conjunto de contribuciones, entre las cuales podemos destacar su particular concepción teórico-clínica y sus publicaciones, que son el fruto de un fecundo trayecto. En este sentido, cabe resaltar la revisión del concepto de enactment, así como la diferenciación de enactment crónico y enactment agudo, realizada por el autor. Son apport à la psychanalyse est constitué d'un large ensemble de contributions, parmi lesquelles on a mis en lumière sa conceptualisation théorico-clinique particulière et ses nombreuses publications, résultantes d'un parcours fécond. Dans ce sens, on peut mettre en évidence la révision du concept d'enactment ainsi que la différenciation entre l'enactment chronique et l'enactment aigu, mises en uvre par l'auteur. Dans la même ligne, les auteurs soulignent d'une manière générale les expériences du champs analytique, où le duo analyste-patient oscille entre les zones du rêve-à-deux et du non-rêve.

Objective Analyze specialty distribution of 113 First Prize winning projects of Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award by the year 2015.Summarize the status and trend of First Prize winning projects’ specialty distribution.Methods Collect basic information on 113 First Prize winning projects by utilizing "t" testing method and combining with the examination and appraisal of professional science and technology projects to analyze the characteristics of specialty distribution.Results Among the 113 First Prize winning projects,the number of First Prize winning projects of Basic Medicine is decreasing while the number of application projects is increasing.Conclusions The specialty diversification of First Prize winning projects of Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award in the past 15 years reflects recent changes in the concept of evaluating science and technology projects and judges are placing more emphasis on whether projects can solve practical problems.

Objective To discover the common characteristics of award winning medical and health science and technology achievements in Shandong province,and provide a useful reference for the Medical Science Research Management.Methods Statistical analysis was conducted on the 2014 Shandong provincial science and technology award winning projects of medical and health.Results The rate of award winning in Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Award in 2014 was 37.42％,and declared the results of medical and health category winner was 27.91％.While the winners percentage was 35.23％-58.59％ in surrounding eight provinces in the same year.In the awarding group,the innovation points,popularize and applying in scientific and technical achievements,patent for invention,professional inventions,authorized patents within 5 years,SCI publication and its number within 5 years in turn was 3.79,1.25,1.81,1.81,1.83,5.48 and 4.23,respectively.In contrast,the numbers in the non-awarding group was 3.36,0.81,0.86,0.99,0.93,3.40 and 2.76.Conclusions Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Award is very competitive to win and is more difficult for the medical and health class.It is helpful with an original innovation achievement,such as service in-ventions or SCI publications within 5 years.The focus of Medical Science Research Management should be made accordingly adaptation.

Analyzed in this paper are the distribution of the first completed institutions, districts and cooperative projects of the awarded medical achievements, the number of papers published by Gansu health institutions and their cited frequencies from 2006 to 2013 with the scientific research strength of these institutions assessed in order to provide reference for increasing the output of high level medical achievements.

Objective A survey was conducted to learn the status of award winning for science and technology achievement among the medical institutions ranked level 2 and above in Sichuan province,to learn the research capacity in such medical institutions,and to provide the basis for research management and health decision.Methods Questionnaire survey was carried out among 555 hospitals ranked level 2 and above in Sichuan province,information on award winning for science and technology achievement during 2010 -2012 was collected and analyzed.Results Only 33％ of those medical institutions were awarded for their achievement in research with total number of 882 awards in three years:300,266,and 316 awards were obtained in 2010,2011 and 2012,respectively.Conclusions In the medical organization of Sichuan province,the number of awards of scientific and technological achievements showed no significant increase with an volatility state,and the overall level of award need to be improved.Awarded Research areas were mainly on clinical research-based,especially on surgery department.Most award winning hospitals are level 3,and the general hospitals win more award than specialized hospitals;furthermore,hospitals located in different regions are quite different in terms of award winning.

Objective To investigate the projects that won the National Science and Technology Progress Award in medical and health field of Chinese PLA.Methods The number of projects that won the National Science and Technology Progress Award in medical and health field of Chinese PLA from 2007 to 2012 was calculated.Results The number, class and award-won rate of projects that won the National Science and Technology Progress Award in medical and health field of Chinese PLA from 2007 to 2012 increased .The award-won achievements focused on the public health safety, difficult and complicated disease prevention and treatment.Conclusion The Scientific research contingent in medical and health field of Chinese PLA is an important force in the national scientific and technological innovation system.Clinical work combined with scientific research has become an important innovation model in medical and health field of Chinese PLA.Policy and finance should keep their favor upon the projects of public health safety.

Objective To investigate reveal the main general situations of medical researches,levels,especially progresses and accomplishments,and progresses of medical research in Guangdong Province.Methods The We collected informations about prizes of of medical researches achievements awarded by National Science and Technology Award and Guangdong Science and Technology Award in Guangdong Province from 1999 to 2010 were collected,and analyzed these prizes in the respect of distribution byof years,regions,institutions and subjectsdiscipline.Results In the last 12 years,There were 30 medical researches achievements won theawarded National Science and Technology Awards,and 865 won awarded Guangdong Science and Technology Awards in the last 12 years.The amounts of distribution by year award-winning achievements awarded of National Science and Technology Awards were was not average evenevery year,which while were opposite to those awarded the distribution of Guangdong Science and Technology Awards was.Geographically,Mmost of these medical research achievements centered were in economically developed cities like Guangzhou,Shenzhen,Shantou,etc.The amounts of awards-winning achievements of won by medical institutionshospitals and colleges were far more than those of enterprises,research institutions and management agencies,.But the awards of hospitals and the fluctuation fluctuated of annual distribution of award-winning achievements ofmore than the those of medical institutions was bigger.Among the award-winning achievements awarded National Science and Technology Award,the amounts on oOncology,ophthalmology,traditional Chinese medical science and Chinese materia medica were won the most of the awards,but the amount onand basic medical medicine won the was fewerfewest awards.The distribution of subjects of award-winning achievements awarded Guangdong Science and Technology Award were largercovered more disciplines than the other.Conclusion Medical research in Guangdong Province has achieved a great accomplishment much but with some deficiencies existingcertain problems.Guangdong Province must take some appropriate measures in order to achieve a greater accomplishmentMeasures need to be taken to overcome those problems,for example,increasing its input in medical research including funds,equipments and talented persons,etc.

The purposes of this descriptive study were to : (1) determine the level of understanding of hospital personnel using the Primary Care Award (PCA) standard, and (2) determine the progress of implementation of the standard. The instruments used a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview form. The questionnaire was composed of three parts: the demographic data; the opinionaire focused on the implementation of the PCA and the roles of the stakeholders; and the evaluation of progress of implementing the PCA Standards. Respondents were hospital personnel working in each of the twenty four hospitals in Muang district, Phitsanulok province, Thailand. The results of the study revealed that the opinion of the hospital regarding the implementation of the PCA in all dimensions was high, however the actual implementation was at intermediate level. The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) had high commitment towards the implementation of the PCA, while the provincial health office and the district health office had medium level of commitment. The participation of the local government and the village health volunteers were at the low level.

The present study was conducted to determine the rate of publication of research papers winning awards at the annual pediatric conference of Indian Academy of Pediatrics. Secondary objective was to identify the factors facilitating their publication, if any. Overall, 75 papers were awarded between 1995 and 2007; of these, 28 (37%) were subsequently published till January 2011. Papers originating from North India, medical colleges, and those with an experimental design had higher chances of subsequent publication.

This paper analyzed the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award gained by military health system during 2001- 2009,which showed the importance and necessity of social awards to the military health system.We also discussed the problems including insufficient importance attached by the military health system,inadequate enthusiasm and motivation of individual researchers,uneven distribution of the scientific level,as well as the number of awards and subjects.

The committee of continuing medical education in Japan Society for Medical Education discussed on PRA of American Medical Association [AMA]. We have first analyzed the brochure of PRA for the members of AMA, and then prepared the questionnaire for AMA. We were able to obtained the answers to the questionnaire which were sent to AMA through courtesy of Japanese Medical Association (JMA). It was realized that AMA emphasizes an importance of PRA for medical practice to the patients; nevertheless acquisition rate of PRA is actually low, and so AMA proceeds with efforts towards completion of PRA.
