RESUMO
Cheilitis glandularis is a rare disease that usually affects the lower lip of adults. It is characterized by enlargement and eversion of the lip in association with excretory duct dilatation. We, herein, report a case of cheilitis glandularis simplex in a 21-year-old woman, which was improved by topical steroids. She presented with a 6-month history of an asymptomatic, whitish nodule on the lower lip. A punch biopsy specimen revealed proliferation and ductal dilation of the minor salivary gland. The close-up view showed neither hyperplasia and metaplasia of the duct, nor inflammatory cell infiltration.
