RESUMO

Objective To investigate the grading diagnostic value of magnetic resonance spectroscopy and magnetic resonance imaging and gross motor rating scale for children with cerebral palsy. Methods Forty cases of healthy children under 1.0 ~ 2.0 years old and 42 cases of cerebral palsy children under 1.1 ~ 2.0 years old were enrolled in the study, and we compared the inspection reports on MRI and MRS statistical analysis.According to the results of MRI for dividing cerebral palsy, and MRS indexing of NAA/Cr,CHO/Cr,LAC/Cr levels were compared;different types of cerebral palsy by GMFM scores were examined. Results Nuclear magnetic resonance(MRI) and MRS could effectively distinguish typical pathological changes in the brain of children with cerebral palsy, the cerebral NAA,Cr,Cho could appear significant formant when the children detected by MRS,could be quantitatively detected with MRS.The levels of NAA/Cr、CHO/Cr、LAC/Cr of different MRS and MRI degree was different, and the difference of moderate CP and severe CP was significant (P < 0.05).Compared with MRS,the accordant rates of the MRI was not ideal,But gross motor rating scale score suggested that there were differences between the cerebral palsy of the MRI and MRS degree (P < 0.05).Conclusion The magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance spectroscopy and gross motor rating scale can effectively improve the dividing diagnosis of cerebral palsy, and this method for different types of cerebral palsy in children has some guiding value.

The social interaction process of children with cerebral palsy poses as a true challenge, especially during hospitalization, when motor, cognitive, affective and emotional abilities are even more debilitated. From this point of view, the present study investigated the role of playing, as childhood's language, in hospitalization of children with CP. The research adopted a qualitative methodology using participant observation during free playing of nine hospitalized children with CP, and interviews with the supporting companions. Based on the content analysis, it was concluded that playing in hospitalization has a fundamental role in the recognition of autonomy, the ressignification of the CP concept, the increase of visibility, and the inclusion of those children.

RESUMO

Objective:To make a synthetic comment on treatment of children cerebral palsy with acupuncture in recent 10 years in China. Methods:Related papers were gotten from the journals between 1999-2008 in Chinese journal full-test database and VIP information-Chinese technology journal database by computer retrieval. The collected 143 papers were analyzed from the terms of clinical acupoints selection, treatment methods, time, and mechanism, and then summarized the clinical effects of acupuncture in treating children cerebral palsy. Results:The acupoints selection was focus on scalp acupuncture functional area and body points(including scalp points).Beside acupuncture treatment, the combination of acupoint embedding therapy, acupoint injection, and massage were also used. The therapy time was different from 20min to 4h,and the treatment course was usually be counted by month. The effects of acupuncture treatment were considered to be significant through improving brain circulation and recovering brain cells' function. Conclusion:Acupuncture treatment had advantages in improving the child'limbs function, nevertheless further studies on the research methods, study design and mechanism were all needed.
