In the present study it was performed an histologic evaluation of the response of the pulp tissue of dogs teeth subdued to pulpotomy and treatment of the reminiscent pulp tissue with 3.5:6.5 and 2.5:7.5 CMPC associated to Furacin, with or without dressing. Upper second and third bicuspids and lower first, second and third bicuspids of 12 young adult dogs were used and distributed into 4 groups: GI - 3.5:6.5 CMPC - Furacin with dressing, GII - 2.5:7.5 CMPC - Furacin with dressing, GIII - 3.5:6.5 CMPC - Furacin without dressing and GIV - 2.5:7.5 CMPC - Furacin without dressing. After experimental periods of 7, 45 and 90 days, the subjects were sacrified and the histopathologic analysis was performed. According to the methodology used, we observed that in all groups the CMPC - Furacin solutions were irritative to the pulp connective tissue, showing tissue death, with fixation phenomena characterized by the loss of dye affinity. This finding was higher in the groups in which CMPC - Furacin dressing was used for 5 minutes (GI and GII), when compared to the groups without the dressings....

RESUMO

As a kind of pesticide, fungicide and preservative, PCP had been used extensively in industry, agriculture and domesticity throughout the world. PCP contamination is generally associated with sediments or soil, it can also concentrate in organism. Regarding the character of high toxicity, long persistence and difficult to degrade, PCP has become a kind of conspicuous environmental pollutant because of widely use and inappropriate disposal. In the contaminated area, PCP can be detected in the water, soil and the body of organisms. PCP can affect human health through directly exposure or through food chain. The absorbed PCP can be stored in liver, kidney and fat,it can also increase the incidence rate of tumork, disturb the endocrine system, affect immune function, inhibit reproduction and development. PCP not only has a direct impairment on human body but also shows a potential impact in genetics.

RESUMO

Objective To study the action of chromatogram retention index in forecasting the LC50 of chlorinated phenols and chlorinated benzenes for the Guppy. Methods Chromatogram retention time of chlorinated phenols and chlorinated benzenes were determined, and the LC50 for Guppy was from the published data. Results A regression model was established, for chlorinated phenols,it was lg(LC50)=1.599-2.64?10-3I,r=0.970,P
