RESUMO

Daochisan is a pediatric famous classical formula in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) specializing in clearing the heart, disinhibiting water and enriching Yin, which has been inherited and developed by medical experts of successive generations. The formula can be traced back to Xiaoer Yaozheng Zhijue written by QIAN Yi from Song dynasty, and most of the later-developed Daochisan(Daochitang) is based on this formula with additions and subtractions. So as to promote the literature excavation of this formula, this paper conducts a thorough textual research and analysis of the composition, processing, preparation methods, clinical applications of Daochisan based on a systematic collation of relevant ancient and modern literature in the method of bibliometrics. A total of 127 pieces of data involving 86 antient TCM books were collected. Statistical analysis showed that the drug origin of Daochisan is basically clear, we suggest that Rehmanniae Radix is the root tuber of Rehmannia glutinosa of Scrophulariaceae, Akebiae Caulis is the dry stem of Akebia quinata of Lardizabalaceae, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma is the dry root and stem of Glycyrrhiza uralensis of legume, bamboo leaf is the dry leaves of Phyllostachys nigra var. henonis of gramineous plants. Four herbs are recommended to use its raw products. The key information of the dosage and decocting method is supposed to be "4.13 g each of raw Rehmanniae Radix, raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Akebiae Caulis, adding 300 mL of water, and then adding 4.13 g of bamboo leaf, decocting together to 150 mL, taking warmly after meal". Daochisan has the effect of clearing the heart and enriching Yin, disinhibiting water and relieving stranguria, and is widely used in treating symptoms such as heart vexed hotness, hydrodipsia and reddish complexion. Modern studies have showed that Daochisan are frequently used in treating oral ulcer, herpetic stomatitis, urinary tract infection, herpes zoster and other diseases. The above research results can provide scientific reference for the future development and research of Daochisan.

RESUMO

In history, there were frequent medical exchanges between China and foreign countries. After the introduction of foreign drugs, they are endowed with the properties of Chinese materia medica and undergo a process of utility evolution, which can be called "Chinese materia medica transformation". This article took natural drugs introduced from India as the research object and found that the common understanding between Ayurvedic medicine and TCM theory is the theoretical basis for the Chinese materia medica transformation" of natural drugs in India. Indian drugs need to complete the process of "Chinese materia medica transformation" through two approaches: the attribution of Chinese materia medica attributes based on the corresponding relationship between the two medical theories, and the supplementation of properties and effects beyond the common understanding. The case of "Chinese materia medica transformation" of natural drugs in India can provide a theoretical and practical basis for the research of "Chinese materia medica transformation" of more foreign new drugs.

RESUMO

Fangfeng Tongsheng Powder has the effect of dispersing wind heat and internal purging heat. Returning to the origin of Liu Wansu's academic thought, it can be concluded that Fangfeng Tongsheng Powder should be based on the treatment of wind as the symptoms, the treatment of heat as the root, the treatment of both the symptoms and the root, and the double solution of the exterior and the interior. It should be set up for the syndrome of excessive heat and internal and external excess. In recent years, the basic and clinical research directions of this prescription in China mainly include skin diseases, endocrine and metabolic diseases, digestive system diseases, respiratory diseases, etc., while foreign related research focuses on obesity-related metabolic diseases. Studies have found that Fangfeng Tongsheng Powder has the effects of anti-allergy, regulating immunity and improving metabolic disorders. At present, the basic research on Fangfeng Tongsheng Powder in China is relatively insufficient, and the mechanism of Fangfeng Tongsheng Powder needs to be further explored, and more large samples and high-quality RCTs need to be carried out.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND:Cerium(Ce)is the most abundant element among lanthanides, which is mostly in the form of ceria. The reversible transformation between Ce3+and Ce4+ ions contributes to the high redox activity of cerium.Because of its antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,osteogenic,angiogenic and anti-tumor properties, cerium has been widely used in stomatology. OBJECTIVE:To summarize the antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,osteogenic,angiogenic and anti-tumor mechanism of cerium, and to review the research status and application prospects of cerium and cerium-based materials in the modification of oral materials and the diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases in recent years. METHODS:The articles published from database inception to 2023 were retrieved from Web of Science,PubMed,CNKI and WanFang databases with the search terms"cerium, ceria, prosthodontics, prosthesis, restorative dentistry, denture, dental implant, caries, endodontics, pulpitis, periodontitis, periodontal diseases, oral cancer"in English and"cerium, ceria, prosthodontics, implant, dental caries, dental pulp, periodontitis, periodontal disease, oral cancer"in Chinese.By analyzing and reading literature for screening, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,73 articles were finally included in this review. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)Cerium exerts an antibacterial effect through direct contact with bacteria, oxidative stress and destroying bacterial biofilm, and exerts an anti-inflammatory function based on mimetic enzyme activity. The osteogenic and angiogenic activities of cerium involve a series of signaling pathways including ERK and Wnt signaling pathways.(2)Antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,osteogenic,and angiogenic activities allow cerium significant potential in the treatment of oral infectious diseases and regeneration of oral soft and hard tissues. However, there is still a certain gap in the application of cerium's anti-tumor properties in the oral field.(3)Due to excellent mechanical properties and a low light-transmitting property,ceria-stabilized zirconia as a dental ceramic material can be used for core ceramics, the frameworks of dental prostheses and dental implants.(4)Benefited from its biological properties,cerium-based materials have the ability to promote osseointegration and soft tissue integration, inhibit demineralization and cariogenic bacteria, facilitate regeneration of the dentin-pulp complex, lessen inflammatory response and enhance periodontal tissue regeneration. There are wide applications of cerium in surface modifications of implants and treatments of caries, pulpitis, periodontitis and oral cancers.(5)Cerium shows certain toxicity under conditions of high concentration and long-term administration. To further expand clinical applications of cerium in dentistry, biosafety and optimization of cerium-based materials need to be further explored in the future.
