Dislexia en la etapa universitaria: una mirada desde la lingüística clínica

El objetivo de esta comunicación es reflexionar, desde la lingüística clínica, en torno a cómo los estudiantes con dislexia han afrontado los retos y dificultades que implica la lectura de textos científicos y académicos durante la formación universitaria. La lectura en la universidad tiene un mayor nivel de complejidad, se caracteriza por el uso del discurso referido, por el dominio de los géneros discursivos propios de cada área del saber y por el uso de un léxico especializado. A través del análisis de experiencias de profesionales con dislexia y de las consideraciones de investigadores sobre el tema, se concluye que es necesario promover ejercicios de investigación interdisciplinar con el objetivo de ayudar al estudiante disléxico a superar los retos de la educación universitaria.

The objective of this communication is to reflect, from clinical linguistics, on how students with dyslexia have faced the challenges and difficulties involved in reading scientific and academic texts during university education. Reading at the university has a higher level of complexity, it is characterized using referred discourse, by the mastery of discursive genres characteristic of each area of ​​knowledge and using a specialized lexicon. Through the analysis of experiences of professionals with dyslexia and the considerations of researchers on the subject it is concluded that it is necessary to promote interdisciplinary research exercises with the aim of helping the dyslexic student to overcome the challenges of university education.

Lingüística clínica: ¿una relación interdisciplinar poco conocida? / Clinical Linguistics: a little known interdisciplinary relation?

Introducción: El avance de la ciencia cada día necesita más de la interdisciplinaridad, en tanto permite el acercamiento a un mismo fenómeno desde ángulos diferentes y de esa manera se obtiene una imagen más completa, enriquecedora y holística del objeto de estudio. Un ámbito poco conocido es el de la Lingüística clínica. Objetivo: Exponer datos sobre la Lingüística clínica, disciplina que, junto con la Neurolingüística, la Sicolingüística y la Logopedia, establecen relaciones interdisciplinarias entre la Lingüística y la Medicina, a fin de demostrar la naturaleza y la pertinencia de esta enriquecedora relación. Material y Métodos: La técnica utilizada ha sido la revisión y análisis bibliográfico. Resultados: El análisis realizado ha permitido poner de manifiesto la importancia de esta relación interdisciplinar por cuanto la Lingüística clínica pone en manos de especialistas desarrollos que involucran dos ciencias claramente establecidas y con ello amplían el horizonte en el tratamiento de enfermedades que afectan el habla. Conclusiones: La Lingüística clínica es una de las disciplinas que amplía el espectro de la Lingüística aplicada y constituye una relación interdisciplinaria válida en el avance del diagnóstico y la elaboración de terapias más ajustadas a las patologías del lenguaje. Junto con la Sicolingüística y la Neurolingüística, expresa la intersección entre Medicina y Lingüística, poco conocida y a veces poco aceptada, pero necesaria para el avance de ambas ciencias(AU)

Introduction: Each day, the development of science needs more from interdisciplinarity, provided that it allows the approach to a same phenomenon from different edges, thus obtaining a more complete, enriching, and holistic image of the subject matter. A little known area is that one of Clinical Linguistics. Objective: To present data about Clinical Linguistics, a discipline which, together with Neurolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, and Speech Therapy, establish interdisciplinary relations between Linguistics and Medicine, in order to demonstrate the nature and pertinence of this enriched relation. Material and Methods: The technique used has been the review and bibliographic analysis. Results: The analysis carried out has allowed to make the importance of this interdisciplinary relation clear inasmuch as Clinical Linguistics offers the specialists those developments which involve two sciences that are clearly established, thus broadening the horizon of knowledge for the treatment of diseases that affect the speech. Conclusions: Clinical Linguistics is one of the disciplines that widens the spectrum of Applied Linguistics, and constitutes a valid interdisciplinary relation in the advance to a diagnosis and the development of more adequate therapies for speech pathologies. Together with Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics, it expresses the intersection between Medicine and Linguistics, which is little known and sometimes little accepted, but very necessary for the development of both sciences(AU)
