RESUMO

Pishu ( BL 20), Dachangshu ( BL 25), Zusanli (ST 36), and Shangjuxu (ST 37) were selected to treat chronic ulcerative colonitis in 43 cases by point injection with placental tissue fluid and the curative effect was compared with that of west medicine plus enema in 22 cases (control group). It showed that there was a significant difference in short-term total effective rate between the two groups. It suggested that point therapy was effective.

RESUMO

To analyze 73 theses that all accorded with statistical demand about ulcerative colonitis. The statistics found that the commonly used therapies were acupuncture, moxibustion, acupuncture-moxibustion, herbpartitioned moxibustion, acupoint-injection, point-radiation therapy, auricular-plaster therapy, catgut implantation at acupoint, point application etc. The commonlyused points were Zusanii ( ST 36), Tianshu ( ST 25),Pishu (BL 20), Weishu (BL 21), Zhongwan (CV 12),Dachangshu ( BL 25) etc. The total effective rate in clinic was 95.40%.

RESUMO

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects and action mechanism of moxibustion in the treatment of intestinal fibrosis in ulcerative colitis. Methods Tianshu (ST 25) and Qihai ( CV 6) were the main acupoint; other points were used according to syndrome differentiation. Sixty-five patients were randomized into two groups: Group A in which 32 cases were treated by herbpartitioned moxibustion and group B in which 33 cases were treated by bran-partitioned moxibustion. The therapeutic effects and TGF-β1, Ⅰ and Ⅲ collagen expressions were measured before and after treatment. Results In group A, 17 cases were cured, 12 cases improved and 3 failed; in group B, 1 1 cases were cured, 16 cases improved and 6 cases failed. Ⅰ , Ⅲ collagen expressions were obviously inhibited in the two groups, in group A in particular. Conclusion In the prevention and treatment of intestinal fibrosis, moxibustion may reduce the expression of TGF-β1, and hence to block or inhibit the synthesis of Ⅰ、Ⅲ collagens, and improve the structure and function.

RESUMO

The clinical effect of acupuncture plus qigong on ulcerative colonitis was analyzed in 113 cases. They were randomly divided into electroacupuncture plus qigong group (treatment group, in short), acupmoxi group and qigong groups. The results showed that the cure rate was 77% in the treatment group, 57% in the acupmoxi group and 53% in the qigong group. A chi square test showed a significant difference ( P < 0.01 ),indicating that electroacupuncture plus qigong had a marked curative effect and suggesting that early treatment can produce a satisfactory effect.
