RESUMO

Objective To study the antagonistic effect of N-acetyl-L-cysteine(NAC)and ?-lipoic acid(LA)to the oxidative damage in the liver and kidney of rats induced by the condensate of cooking oil fume(COF).Methods SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups,8 in each, the blank control,COF group(10 ml/kg,subcutaneous injection),COF plus NAC(2 mmol/kg, intraperitoneal injection)and COF plus LA(0.35 mmol/kg,intraperitoneal injection).Forty-eight hours after treatment, the activity of SOD,GSH-Px and MDA level in the livers and kidneys were determined. Results In the kidney, compared with the COF group, both of NAC and LA could increase the activity of kidney SOD and GSH-Px and decreased the MDA level significantly, the same results were seen in the liver. Conclusion Both of N-aeetyl-L-cysteine and ?-lipoic acid has an obvious antagonistic effect to the oxidative damage in the liver and kidney of rats induced by the condensates of cooking oil fume.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the effects of cooking oil fume condensate on the frequencies of chromosome aberration and micronucleus of peripheral blood lymphocytes. Methods The human peripheral blood lymphocytes were cultured in vitro for 24 h, then added cooking oil fume condensate(4, 6, 8, 10 ?l respectively) into the medium and the related indexes were tested. Results The frequencies of chromosome aberration in experimental group were significantly higher compared with the control group (P

RESUMO

Objective To assess the genetic toxicity and effects of cooking oil fume on oxidation-antioxidation level, immunity function of the workers occupationally exposed to cooking oil fume. Methods 108 subjects engaged in catering trade in Dongshan district of Guangzhou city were enrolled into this study by questionnaire investigation, serum MDA, SOD, activity of Lysozyme, micronucleus formation of periphery lymphocytes, blood lipids, blood routine indexes and vital capacity were determined. Results Compared with the control, serum MDA, micronucleus formation of periphery lymphocytes, CHOL, apoB LDL,WBC and mononuclear cells in the exposed group were significantly higher and a positive correlation was found between the levels of serum MDA, CHOL, apob, LDL, micronucleus formation of periphery lymphocyfes and length of service. Conclusion Cooking oil fume may injure oxidation-antioxidation system and have genetic toxity to human. The effect on lung function needs further study.

RESUMO

In China, cooking oil fume is a kind of indoor air pollutant that is ubiquitous. With the development of catering trade, the pollution of cooking oil fume is becoming more and more severe. The results of animal experiments showed that cooking oil fume could damage the genetic substance and cause cancer. The results from the epidemiological studies indicated that cooking oil fume could induce lipid peroxidation and change the pulmonary and immunologic functions, cause chromosome damage and increase the risk of lung cancer.

RESUMO

Objective To estimate quantitatively the relationship between female lung cancer and cooking oil fume (COF)?Methods Meta-analysis was employed to estimate the relationship between COF and non-smoking female lung cancer based on8relevant epidemiological articles publisked at home and abroad?Fixed Effect Model Analysis was used to calculate the incorporated odds ratio(OR c )based on homogeneity test. Results The OR c for female lung cancer associated with COF was2.94(95%CI =2.43~3.56)with statistical significance(? 2 =120.64,P
