Reynaldo Alarcón y la historia crítica de la psicología en el Perú / Reynaldo Alarcón and the critical history of psychology in Peru

Resumen La historia de la psicología es una disciplina que se nutre de los aportes de la sociología del conocimiento, la historia de la ciencia y la epistemología; que le brindan una orientación más crítica, cualidad necesaria para su desarrollo objetivo de cara a la realidad social en la que tiene lugar. En el presente artículo revisamos el desarrollo de la historiografía de la psicología, su proceso de institucionalización y su difusión en América Latina, analizando la recepción que ha tenido la historia crítica de la psicología en el Perú, a través de su historiografía, sus representantes, y principalmente de la obra de Reynaldo Alarcón, uno de los máximos exponentes de esta rama en nuestro país.

Abstract The history of psychology is a discipline funded by the contributions of the sociology of knowledge, the history of science and epistemology. These contributions provide said discipline with a more critical orientation: a quality necessary for its objective development in the face of the social reality in which it takes place. In this article, we review the development of the historiography of psychology, its institutionalization and its diffusion in Latin America, and analyze the reception of the critical history of psychology in Peru through its historiography, its representatives and, mainly, through the work of Reynaldo Alarcón, one of the greatest exponents of this branch in our country.

Razones de un silencio: Sexualidad e histeria entre 1885 y 1896 / The reasons of a silence: Sexuality and hysteria between 1885 and 1896

El objetivo del presente texto consiste en la indagación histórica de algunos aspectos del régimen de enunciación vigente en la neurología clínica de ines del s. XIX. A partir de esto, se analizarán las razones por las cuales ni Charcot ni Freud hicieron referencia a la sexualidad en sus escritos e intervenciones públicas hasta 1894, y las condiciones que tuvieron que darse para que el psicoanalista pudiera relacionar sexualidad e histeria, aunque sólo después de años de silencio. Se intentará demostrar que esos enunciados no dependían de unas restricciones o libertades morales ni de decisiones y características personales sino, más bien, de la posibilidad de adecuar esas hipótesis a algunos problemas, reglas o formas de los saberes médicos de fines del s. XIX.

The object of the present text is the construction of a history about the enunciation regime of clinical neurology by the end of nineteenth century. We will analyze the reasons for which neither Charcot neither Freud wrote about sexuality till 1894, and the conditions for which it was possible to relate sexuality and hysteria, although after several years of silence. We will try to demonstrate that this enunciates not depend neither of moral neither of personal decisions, but depend of the possibility of adjust this hypothesis to some problems, rules or forms concerning to the medical knowledge of nineteenth century.
