RESUMO

Objective To review year 1954-2016 literature on acupuncture treatment of ophthalmologic and otorhinolaryngologic diseases and objectively reflect modern acupuncture-treated ophthalmologic and otorhino- laryngologic disease spectrum by literature metrology and evaluation to give full play to the advantage of acupuncture medicine.Method A statistical analysis was made by a method of metrological analysis according to the data from "China acupuncture-moxibustion information databank".Results and Conclusion The number of documents on acupuncture treatment of ophthalmologic and otorhinolaryngologic diseases increased gradually. The proportion of clinical research literature to the annual total literature also increased gradually. Acupuncture-treated ophthalmologic and otorhinolaryngologic disease spectrum had 85 kinds of diseases. From multi-angle data analysis, the ophthalmologic and otorhinolaryngologic diseases against which acupuncture is effective were allergic rhinitis, deafness, myopia and tinnitus. Acupuncture is worthy to be popularized and applied to clinical treatment of ophthalmologic and otorhinolaryngologic diseases. Acupuncture-treated ophthalmologic and otorhinolaryngologic disease spectrum is still in a primary stage and needs further study and evaluation.

RESUMO

Anophelines harbour a diverse microbial consortium that may represent an extended gene pool for the host. The proposed effects of the insect microbiota span physiological, metabolic and immune processes. Here we synthesise how current metagenomic tools combined with classical culture-dependent techniques provide new insights in the elucidation of the role of the Anopheles-associated microbiota. Many proposed malaria control strategies have been based upon the immunomodulating effects that the bacterial components of the microbiota appear to exert and their ability to express anti-Plasmodium peptides. The number of identified bacterial taxa has increased in the current “omics” era and the available data are mostly scattered or in “tables” that are difficult to exploit. Published microbiota reports for multiple anopheline species were compiled in an Excel® spreadsheet. We then filtered the microbiota data using a continent-oriented criterion and generated a visual correlation showing the exclusive and shared bacterial genera among four continents. The data suggested the existence of a core group of bacteria associated in a stable manner with their anopheline hosts. However, the lack of data from Neotropical vectors may reduce the possibility of defining the core microbiota and understanding the mosquito-bacteria interactive consortium.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the structure of Chinese personality based on natural language and to develop a Chinese personality vocabulary data bank. Methods Based on the sub-factors of Chinese personality scale(QZPS),Chinese personality assessment inventory 2(CPAI-2) and Chinese personality five factors inventory (CPFFI),a self-reported personality questionnaire with 116 items was developed. An exploratory factory analysis and parallel analysis were made to the data collected from 1455 Chinese participants. Results A Chinese Personality Seven Factors Inventory (CPSFI) was developed, which included seven factors with 52 items.51.63% of the total variance of the seven factors was explained and the internal reliability coefficient was 0.800,while the internal reliability coefficients among the factors were between 0.663-0.912.The retest reliability coefficients of the factors were between 0.700-0.874 (P < 0.01).Conclusions Outgoing and emotion are the core contents of the crossculture personalities. Most of the factors in QZPS,CPAI-2 and CPFFI can be found in the seven factors structure,of which the structure is clearer.

Skin biopsies from leprosy diagnostic services can be great sources of material for retrospective studies concerning human and Mycobacterium leprae genetic. However, fixation and paraffin embedding procedures make difficult to obtain good quality DNA to PCR amplification. Thus, paraffin-embedded samples require special protocols to DNA extraction. The aim of this paper is to present an alternative method for DNA extraction based on the combination of heat and enzymatic digestion. The sections were heated at 120ºC at pH 9.0, submitted to enzymatic digestion with proteinase K and the DNA was extracted by using phenol:chlorophorm:isoamilic alcohol. PCR amplification for regions in TNF and LTA human genes was successful for 85.4 % of specimens. Regarding M. lepraeDNA, we obtained amplification in 67.6%, 48.5%, 36.7% and 64.8% for the TA18, GTA9, TTC and RLEP markers, respectively. We conclude that this is an inexpensive method which provided a satisfactory yield of a good quality DNA for PCR from paraffin- embedded skin biopsies.

RESUMO

Database system construction using raw data in nursing research would be useful resource because of keeping and accumulating source data. The purpose was to provide with the effect of keeping and managing data through the development and maintenance of bank construction program done on the web. The structure of database was made on the basis of research format such as author, study purpose, study method and period. In addition it was made to be e-mail address of author and study field. Also it was attached data files, questionnaire and variables. This database system was connected with web using ODBC and ASP technolgy on the Microsoft Windows 2000. It was available to connect by membership to prevent from releasing source data without permission. Data provider and its user could communicate with each other on the web. Through this source data banksystem construction it was able not only to share specific information on research data with others but also to do research process more efficiently and to share information of quantitative study. It may be concluded that this databank system contributed to develop nursing research.

RESUMO

Objective:To Construct 3-D standard external nasal morphological database for nasal prostheses.Methods:12 plaster models of 6 types of external nose were prepared and scanned by a lasser scanner. The data documents were primarily saved as .asc format. The digital noses were partitioned to six areas by the nasal anatomical features: Nasal bridge area, nasal tip and collumella area, left and right dorsal areas, left and right ala nostril areas, the surface model of each area was constructed and connected to a group. With adding the background color, the surface model of external nose was visualized from any observing angles; then the nasal length and width were measured and the original data were replaced by HAN standard data.12 digital nose models with the same size were obtained and the documents were saved by each type with both .asc format and .igs format.Results:Point-cloud data and surface model data of 6 types of standard external digital noses were obtained. Conclusion:The nasal morphological database may be used as the foundation for CAD/CAM technique preparation of nasal prostheses
