RESUMO
@#AIM: To discuss the clinical efficacy of tobramycin dexamethasone eye ointment combined with OCuSOFT tea tree oil cleaning wipes in the treatment demodex blepharitis.<p>METHODS: Prospective clinical study. Totally 72 patients with demodex blepharitis were selected. They were randomly divided into three groups. The experimental group was treated with tobramycin dexamethasone eye ointment combined with OCuSOFT tea tree oil cleaning wipes. After 30d of treatment, the symptom score, the number of eyelash mites and the score of clinical signs were observed under slit lamp. The data before and after treatment were compared by paired sample <i>t</i>-test and analysis of variance.<p>RESULTS: There was significant difference in demodex count among the three groups before and after treatment(<i>P</i><0.01). The difference of total symptom score was statistically significant(<i>F</i>=20.05, <i>P</i><0.01). The difference of total score of physical signs was statistically significant(<i>F</i>=8.10, <i>P</i><0.01).<p>CONCLUSION: Tobramycin dexamethasone eye ointment combined with OCuSOFT tea tree oil cleaning wipes is effective in the treatment of demodex blepharitis. Tea tree oil cleaning wipes are portable, easy to preserve and not easy to deteriorate.
RESUMO
AIM:To investigate and evaluate the effectiveness and safety of tobramycin and dexamethasone ointment in the treatment of blepharitis.METHODS:We searched in Pubmed,Medline,Embase,Elsevier,Cochrane Library,Wangfang database,CNKI,VIP database,Sinomed database, and gray literature were performing manual. The efficiency, intraocular pressure, adverse reactions and extract valid data were evaluated.RESULTS:Totally 8 controlled trials were enrolled, including 970 patients.Compared with control groups, the efficiency and the intraocular pressure in experiment group had a statistically significant increase (RR=1.75,95% CI=1.29-2.37,P=0.0003;SMD=1.30,95% CI=0.85-1.75,P<0.00001),and there was no statistic difference in adverse reactions (RR =1.64,95% CI =0.86-3.10,P =0.13).CONCLUSION:Tobramycin and dexamethasone ointment in treatment of blepharitis is effective with no adverse effects.Due to the quality of the literature is low, there is still need high quality randomized controlled trials.
RESUMO
Objective We observed the effect of dexamethasone ointment on preventing phlebitis induced by vinorelbine. Methods Patients with malignant tumor who received chemotherapy of vinorelbine through peripheral superficial vein injection were divided into the observation group (70 cases) and the control group (72 cases) according to the date of hospitalization. All patients received vinorelbine four times averagely. Patients in the observation group was given dexamethasone ointment along punctured superficial vein. Patients in the control group received routine nursing measure. The incidence rate, time and degree of phlebitis was compared between these groups. Results The incidence rate and degree of phlebitis was lower than those of the control group (P< 0.01, P< 0.05). The incidence time of phlebitis in the observation group was also later than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Local application of dexamethasone ointment could effectively reduce the incidence of superficial phlebitis caused by vinorelbine chemotherapy.
