RESUMO

Objective To analyze the prevalence trend of chronic hepatitis C and liver function impairment in Taixi area from 2018 to 2021, and to provide theoretical basis for preventing liver function impairment in hepatitis C patients in Taixi area. Methods The data of hepatitis C cases reported in Taixi were downloaded from the infectious disease reporting Information management system of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the epidemiological characteristics of hepatitis C were analyzed by descriptive epidemiological methods. The clinical data including gender, age, place of residence, smoking history, drinking history, therapeutic drugs, genotyping and other clinical data were collected from HIS system of the hospital. Patients were divided into liver function injury group and control group according to whether they had liver function injury. Univariate analysis and logistic regression were used to analyze the factors of liver function injury in hepatitis C patients in Taixi area. Results Among the 550 cases reported from 2018 to 2021, there were no deaths, including 292 males and 258 females. The male cases were more than the female cases, and the average age was (53.47±5.74) years old. There was no significant difference in the composition of male and female cases among different age groups (χ2=1.472,P>0.05). From 2018 to 2021, the proportion of patients aged 40 to 59 was significantly higher than that of patients aged 20 to 39 and ≥60. The occupation composition was mainly farmers, accounting for 44.36% (244/550), and 287 cases (52.18%) lived mainly in rural areas. From 2018 to 2021, 129 (23.45%) of 550 patients with hepatitis C had liver function injury. ALT, AST and GGT values in the liver function injury group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P5%, genotype 1b and high load of HCV-RNA were independent risk factors for liver function impairment in hepatitis C patients in Taixi area (P<0.05). Conclusion The incidence of hepatitis C was high in Taixi area from 2018 to 2021, and patients with CD4+CD25+Treg<5%, genotype 1b and high load of HCV-RNA had a high risk of liver function impairment. Therefore, active treatment should be carried out to reduce the occurrence of liver function injury.

RESUMO

Objective@#To understand the trends on the epidemics of acute meningitis and encephalitis (AME) among children under 18 years-old in Shijiazhuang city, 2007-2017.@*Methods@#Surveillance programs on acute meningitis and encephalitis (AMES) had been conducted in population less than 18 years-old, since 2007. Hospitals at county level or above in Shijiazhuang had been included to carry out the epidemiologic surveillance, including 6 on pathogens, regarding AMES. Qualitative description was performed to describe the epidemiologic patterns and pathogenic spectrums. Annual percent change (APC) was used to demonstrate the secular trends of AME.@*Results@#In 2007-2017, 11 222 locally developed AME cases that younger than 18 years-old, were reported in Shijiazhuang, with the annual average incidence rate as 108.62/100 000 (1 021/939 974) and APC as 4.81%(95%CI: 3.90%-5.93%)(t=23.01, P<0.001). Age-specific incidence appeared the highest among 4-5 years-old (242.96 cases per 100 000 children per year). Significant differences were found among children of other aged years except aged 0- years (aged 1- years t=20.21, P=0.004; aged 2- years t=19.41, P=0.006; aged 3- years t=23.50, P<0.001; aged 4- years t=31.76, P<0.001; aged 5- years t=18.53, P=0.008; aged 10-17 years t=12.82, P=0.023). The ratio of male to female was 1.46 ∶ 1 (6 652/4 570). The ratio of urban to rural cases was 0.28 ∶ 1 (2 456/8 766). A total of 57.73% (6 478/11 222) of the cases were seen between June and September. The overall positive rate of pathogens was 20.07% (658/3 123) among these patients. The top five pathogens appeared as Enterovirus (44.68%, 264/658), Cryptococcus neoformans (9.12%, 60/658), Japanese encephalitis virus (8.66%, 57/658), Streptococcus pneumoniae (6.99%, 47/658) and Varicella-zoster virus (6.69%, 44/658).@*Conclusions@#AME seriously harms the health of population under 18 years-old in Shijiazhuang city, with aged 3- years, aged 4- years in particular. Continued improvement on surveillance and expanded immunization are important to AME prevention and control.

RESUMO

Objective To describe the epidemiology of sexually transmitted diseases(STDs)and to analyze trends of the distribution of reported STDs cases in FengTai district of Beijing from 2002 to 2008 so as to provide baseline information for STDs prevention and control. Methods Database of reported STDs cases in FengTai district from 2002 to 2008 was analyzed. Results A toal of 15,900 STDs cases were reported in Fengtai district from 2002 to 2008.Of the reported cases 10,579 were males, and 5,321 were females. The ratio of males to females was 1.99∶1.The age ranged from 4 days to 94 years;71.65% of the cases were aged 20-40 years. The ratio of the married to the bachelor was 2.68∶1.The majority of the STDs cases were workers(13.47%),officers(15.55)and unemployed(19.89%).The average incidence rate of overall STDs was 151.33 per 100 thousand per year. The average specific incidence rates of gonorrhea, condyloma acuminatum, nongonococcal urethritis, syphilis, genital herpes,HIV infection and AIDS were 43.57,38.77,36.97,23.61,4.51,3.21,and 0.69 per 100 thousand per year, respectively. Conclusion While the incidence rates of STDs has continued to decrease from 2002 to 2008,especially for nongonococcal urethritis and gonorrhea, the incidence rates of AIDS and syphilis are increasing. This trend may continue over the next few years. It is necessary to develop taygeted strategy to prevent and control STDs in Feng Tai district.
