RESUMO
Trata-se de pesquisa descritiva de abordagem quanti-qualitativa realizada entre setembro e outubro de 2010 com 15 trabalhadores de saúde. Objetivo- Identificar o conhecimento sobre as consequências da exposição a fluido biológico e sobre o protocolo de monitoramento pós-acidente, e conhecer as crenças que influenciam essa adesão. Metodologia- Os dados foram coletados mediante entrevista estruturada gravada e analisados por meio de análise temática. Resultados- Os trabalhadores demonstram preocupação em contrair AIDS e hepatite; referem agregar comportamentos preventivos ao risco após o evento; percebem o acompanhamento sorológico como benefício; reconhecem o acidente como gerador de estresse emocional e relatam não haver investimentos das instituições para promover o conhecimento e evitar acidentes com exposição biológica. Considerações Finais- A consulta de enfermagem ao acidentado fornece subsídios, por meio da educação em saúde, para mudanças de comportamento e contribui para a melhoria da qualidade de vida do trabalhador.
It is descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach performed between September and October 2010 with 15 health workers. Objective- To identify the knowledge about the consequences of exposure to biological material, and the protocol of post-accident, and know beliefs that influence this adherence. Methods- The data were collected through structured interview recorded and analyzed using thematic analysis. Results- The workers are concerned about contracting AIDS and hepatitis, related preventive behaviors add to the risk after the event, the serological follow perceive as a benefit, they recognize the accident as a generator of emotional stress and reported no investments of institutions to promote awareness and prevent accidents biological exposure. Conclusion- The nursing consultation to the rugged provides subsidies through health education for behavior change and helps to improve the quality of life of the worker.
