RESUMO

This study was aimed to investigate effects of electroacupunture on PC6-Ne iguan and PC5-Jians hi points on heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) in fear emotion. A total of 120 healthy volunteers were randomly allo-cated into the acupuncture group and control group, with 60 cases in each group. After 20 min frightening audio stimulation, volunteers in the acupuncture group received electroacupunture on PC6 and PC5 of both sides for 20 min and continued to repose for 20 min after needles were removed. Volunteers in the control group reposed for 40 min in the waking state. The heart rate and HRV of each subject was recorded during the whole process through Actiheart. The results showed that the experiment data was divided into two parts, rate rise and decreased or un-changed parts, after listening to audio and analyzed, respectively. Compared to the period of listening for 20 min, there were significant differences on average heart rate, HF, LF/HF of the post listening period between the acupunc-ture group and the control group (P < 0.05). There were significant differences on average heart rate, RMSSD, HF under the condition of heart rate decreasing or unchanging after 20 min (P < 0.05). It was concluded that elec-troacupunture on PC6 and PC5 had immediate regulating and post effects on autonomic nerve and bidirectional regu-lations of the plant nerve function disorder caused by fear, which can treat diseases through excitatory or inhibitory vagus nerve function.

RESUMO

ObjectiveTo investigate the characteristics of autonomic nervous response of armymen with different mentalqualityuse the enhanced emotion regulationstrategies during fear emotion processes. Methods Mental Quality Questionnaire of Armymen was used to select participants from 818 armymen, screening out 30 armymen with low mental quality,30 armymen with moderate and 30 armymen with high. With elicitation of fear emotion, the participants adopted enhance emotion regulation strategies (cognition emphasis and emotion catharsis),and their blood volume pulse( BVP),skin conductance( SC ),normalized high frequency spectral component(HFnorm),standard deviation of all normal intervals(SDNN) and the recovery time of BVP and SC were recorded. Results ( 1 ) The different mental quality of army men activity in the autonomic physiological changes were not significant differences in resting state.(2) When using the cognition emphasis, the SC of different mental quality of armymen were reduced, and low mental quality of armymen( ( -0.67 ± 1.05 )μ.Ω),moderate mental quality of armymen ( ( - 0.49 ± 0.75 ) μΩ) had larger SC than high mental quality of armymen ( ( - 2.16 ± 2.18 ) μΩ ) ;high mental quality of armymen( ( - 2.17 ± 8.96) nU ) had lower HFnorm than the control( ( 6.96 ± 7.08 ) nU ).When using emotion catharsis, high mental quality of armymen ( ( 1.95 ± 6.58 ) nU ) had lower HFnorm than the control( (6.96 ±7.08)nU).(3)When using the cognition emphasis, low mental quality of armymen ((65.50 ±43.43 )s) had longer recovery time of BVP than high mental quality of armymen( (26.50 ± 25.72)s).When using emotion catharsis, low mental quality of armymen( (71.50 ± 48.36)mm Hg)had longer recovery time of BVP than high mental quality of armymen ( ( 21.00 ± 35.50 ) mm Hg) ; low mental quality of armymen ( ( 103.50 ± 38.01 ) s)had longer SC than moderate( (63.50 ±48.59)s) and high mental quality of armymen( (61.50 ±33.09) s).Conclusion The ability to regulate sympathetic in low mental quality group is weaker than the high mental quality group, although sympathetic can be suppressed when enhanced emotion regulation are adopted.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the effect of the Yu-tone music to reduction of fear emotion. Methods 72 undergraduate students listened to Yu-tone Music or had a rest for ten minutes after elicitation of fear emotion by film clip;and measured from autonomic nerves system include skin conduction,BVP amplitude, heart rate, respiration, finger temperature and self-report subjective experience. Result 1.Compared with silence[(0.96±1.64)1/Ω,(0.85±1.73)min-1,(4.48±43.54)μV,(-5±15.37)min-1],music was associated with a significantly decreased skin resistance, respiration rate, heart rate and myoelectricity after fear emotion[(2.04±2.22)1/Ω,(0.09±1.79)min-1,(8.47±26.24) μV,(1.57±20.88) min-1,P <0.01,P <0.01,P <0.01,P <0.05]; 2.Compared with silence[(-0.37±2.71)μV, (0.13±1.16) ℃ ],music was enlarged BVP amplitude and skin temperature[(-0.53±3.8)μV,(-0.02±0.87)℃],but there was no significant difference( P >0.05,P >0.05).Conclusion Music advance the restore of negative emotion, and reduce excitability of the sympathetic and improve function of the parasympathetic nervous systems. Simultaneously, music significantly enhance the feelings of happiness as well as quietness of positive emotion.
