RESUMO

Four cyclic peptides were isolated from the 75% ethanol extract of the fibrous roots of Pseudostellaria heterophylla by silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, and semi-preparative HPLC. Through mass spectrometry, NMR and other methods, they were identified as pseudostellarin L(1), heterophyllin B(2), pseudostellarin B(3), and pseudostellarin C(4). Among them, compound 1 was a new cyclic peptide, and compounds 2-4 were isolated from the fibrous roots of P. heterophylla for the first time. None of these compounds displayed cytotoxic activities against MCF-7, A549, HCT-116, and SGC-7901 cells.

RESUMO

Five compounds were isolated from the fibrous roots of Anemarrhena asphodeloides by silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and semi-HPLC column chromatography. On the basis of physic-chemical properties and spectroscopic data analysis, these compounds were identified as methyl 2-[2,4-dihydroxy-3-(4-hydroxybenzoyl)-6-methoxyphenyl]acetate(1), 4-[formyl-5-(methoxymethyl)-1H-pyrrol-1-yl]butanoate(2), perlolyrine(3),syringaresinol-4'-O-β-D-glucoside(4) and 4',6-dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone-2-O-(2″),3-C-(1″)-1″-desoxy-α-L-fructofuranoside(5). Among them, 1 was a new benzophenone. Compounds 2-5 were isolated from this plant for the first time. Compound 1 was tested for neuroprotective effects against H_2O_2-induced damage in SH-SY5 Y cells.

RESUMO

Objective: Comparison of alkaloid and polysaccharides content in different parts of whole plant of wild aconitum in Nanyang, and to explore the medicinal value of aboveground part and fibrous root of wild aconitum in Nanyang. Methods: The contents of three monoester alkaloids, three diester alkaloids in wild aconitum, radix aconiti carmichaeli, fibrous root and aboveground parts in Nanyang were determined by HPLC method; The content of crude polysaccharides was determined by sulfuric-phenol method, crude polysaccharides content from different tissues of wild aconitum in Nanyang in different harvest time was compared, including wild aconitum in Nanyang, wild radix aconiti carmichaeli in Nanyang, fibrous root, aboveground part. Results: Among the 4 parts of the wild Aconitum in Nanyang, the contents of 3 mono ester alkaloids rang from high to low: wild aconitum in Nanyang> wild radix aconiti carmichaeli in Nanyang> fibrous root> aboveground part (P < 0.05), the contents of three diester alkaloids rang from high to low: wild radix aconiti carmichaeli in Nanyang> fibrous root> wild aconitum in Nanyang> aboveground part (P < 0.05), the order of total alkaloid content from high to low is: wild radix aconiti carmichaeli in Nanyang> fibrous root> wild aconitum in Nanyang> aboveground part (P < 0.05), The content of crudepolysaccharides in different tissues of wild aconitum in Nanyang were in the sequence of wild radix aconiti carmichaeli in Nanyang> wild aconitum in Nanyang> aboveground part> fibrous root (P < 0.05) . Conclusion: In this study, an attempt was made to explore the differences of 6 kind salkaloid content in different parts of whole plant of wild aconitum in Nanyang, which provided scientific basis for the medicinal value of the fibrous roots and the aboveground parts.

RESUMO

Objective: To study the yield of the fibrous roots of Ophiopogon japonicus in Sichuan province and to compare the microscopic characteristics and the content of total ophiopogonins between the root tubers and fibrous roots of O. japonicus. Methods: The ratio for root tubers and fibrous roots of O. japonicus was compared by statistics; The microscopic characteristics of epidermal cell, cortex, stele arrangement, and pith were observed by microscope and photomicrography system; The total saponins in the extract from the root tubers and fibrous roots of O. japonicus were determined by UV, and the content of ophiopogonin D in the extract from the root tubers and fibrous roots of O. japonicus was determined by HPLC-ELSD. Results: The average ratio of fibrous root weight and root tuber weight was 0.68, and there were some differenes in the epidermal cell shape, stele arrangement, and proportion of the cortex between the fibrous roots and root tubers of O. japonicus. The average contents of total saponins in the root tubers and fibrous roots of O. japonicus were 1.204% and 2.847%, and the contents of ophiopogonin D were 0.034% and 0.041% in the root tubers and fibrous roots of O. japonicus. Conclusion: The resource of fibrous roots of O. japonicus is rich, which has the histological differences in the epidermal cell shape, stele arrangement, and proportion of the cortex between the fibrous roots and root tubers of O. japonicus. There is no significant difference in powder between the root tuber and fibrous root; The the content of total saponin in the fibrous roots is obviously higher than that in the root tubers while the content of ophiopogonin D between the root tubers and fibrous roots of O. japonicus is similar.

RESUMO

Objective:To establish a feasible method for extracti ng polysaccharide from the discarded fibrous roots of Radix Panacis Quingueforli i afterpanaquilon had been extracted, and determine the polysaccharide content. Methods:Enzymolysis technique and alcohol was applied for decolorization, and ph enol-sulfuric-acid method was used to determine the active polysaccharide conte nt.The content of trace element and heavy mental was measured by element-analyze r and atomic fluorescence photometer respectively. Results: The yield of polysac charide from the fibrous roots was close (about 11.7%) to the main root. And the content of heavy metal can match the national standard. Conclusion:I t is valuable to extract the polysaccharide from the discarded fibrous root of R adix Panacis Quingueforlii.
