Conclusion In the present paper, nano red elemental selenium does not show an adverse effect on the liver of rats and a protective effect on liver injury induced by CCl4.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the proliferation rate of HepG2 cell after multiple thermotherapy and the possible reasons related to it. Methods After HepG2 cell were treaded by ten repeated cycles of heat exposure at 43 ℃ for 80 minutes twice a day, the doubling time of cell was analyzed, and the cell cycle, bcl-2 mRNA and bax mRNA were detected. Results The proliferation rate of HepG2 cell which treated with heat speeded up, the percentage of G2 and S in cell cycle increased, the expression of bcl-2 mRNA strengthened and the rate of bcl-2/bax increased. Conclusion The speeded proliferation of HepG2 cell after multiple thermotherapy is related to its high percentage of DNA duplicated and dividing cell, strengthened expression of bcl-2 mRNA and increased rate of bcl-2/bax.

RESUMO

Objective To review the relationship between the expression levels of bcl-2,bax and bad gene and other biological factors of breast cancer in the growth and development of breast cancer.Methods Related literatures were summarized and reviewed.Results The expression level change of antiapoptosis gene bcl-2 was still under research and the expression levels of apoptosis gene bax and bad were down-regulated progressively in the evolution from benign breast tissue to breast cancer tissue.The expression level of bcl-2 had positive correlation with some positive factors in breast cancer such as estrogen receptor(ER) and progesterone receptor(PR),while it had negative correlation with some negative factors such as p53,EGFR,c-erbB-2 and lymph node metastasis.The levels of ER,PR and the expression level of p53 of breast cancer had no relationship with the expression level of bax.Up to now there was no report about the relationship between the expression level of bad and other biological factors of breast cancer.Conclusion The role of altered expression level of bcl-2,in the treatment and prognosis of breast cancer is still controversial,and the relationship between the expression of bad and the prognosis of breast cancer is still unknown,but expression level of bax is correlated positively with the prognosis of breast cancer.Research on these genes can provide us some new index to evaluate the prognosis of breast cancer and new ideas on treatment of breast cancer including gene therapy.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the effect of Bax and Bcl-X_L expression in newborn rat with moderate hyperoxic exposure. Methods Hyperoxic lung injury model was established by exposure to 60% O_2 in the neonatal period of SD rats. Rats exposed to air were used as control groups, with 8 animals in each group on repeated experiments. The pathology of pulmonary tissues was detected by HE stain. Mean alveolar area and alveolar number per ?m~2 were applied to estimate the pathological effects of prolonged hyperoxia in neonatal rats. The expression of Bax and Bcl-X_L proteins in lung were detected by immunohistochemistry and the expressions of Bax and Bcl-X_L mRNA by RT-PCR. Results In hyperoxia groups, alveolar dysplasia appeared 4 days after hyperoxia, mean alveolar area increased and alveolar number per ?m~2 decreased from the 4th day. Bax and Bcl-X_L protein were mainly expressed on bronchiolar epithelial cells and vascular endothelial cells. Objective To examine the expression of Ki-67,p53,bcl-2 and bax in gastric globoid dysplasia and the relationship between globoid dysplasia and gastric carcinoma.Methods An immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of Ki-67,p53,bcl-2 and bax in 41 cases of gastric globoid dysplasia ,92 gastric carcinoma and 92 normal gastric mucosa.Results 41 cases gastic globoid dyplasia were seen in well differentiated adenocarcinoma,poor differentiated adnocarcinoma,mucinous adenocarcinoma and signet ring cell carcinoma.The histologic transition of globoid dysplasia to carcinoma was in 2 cases signet ring cell carcinoma and 3 poor differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma.Most cells of globoid dysplasia were positive of Ki-67,p53,bcl-2 and bax.The expression of Ki-67 and p53 in globoid dysplasia was higher than that in normal gastric mucosa and approached carcinoma level.The expression of bcl-2 was lower but of bax was higher in globoid dysplasia than that in normal.However,the expression of bcl-2 in higher grade globoid dysplasia was heightened.Conclusions Gastric globoid dysplasia is special active .It is possible that gastric globoid dysplasia is correlated to the occurrence of varied gastric carcinoma.
