RESUMO

OBJECTIVE To apply and practice the process and effect of low temperature steam formaldehyde(LTSF) sterilization for heat-sensitive goods.METHODS The heat-sensitive medical instruments were sterilized in LTSF sterilizer under the appropriate media conditions, all procedures, including preparation, packing, sterilization, unloading, storage etc were strictly in the right way.RESULTS Sterile result has been guaranteed.CONCLUSIONS LTSF is a kind of effective sterilization method for low temperature sterilization application.By this way,the quality of sterile goods has been reached, the rate of nosocomial infection has been lowered, requirements of hospital clinical departments for sterile goods also have been met.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the sterilization steps and effects of low temperature plasma on heat-resistant items. METHODS Low temperature plasma sterilization was adopted to operate according to standard procedures including pre-sterilizaing, packaging, sterilization, unloading and storageing. RESULTS Low temperature plasma had the features of reliable sterilization effect, easy to monitor, short time needed, and high utilization rate which could greatly increase the number of surgery and have a long term storage. CONCLUSIONS Low temperature plasma sterilization is a kind of fast, safe and effective way of sterilization by which the sterilization quality is guaranteed and the hospital infection rate is reduced greatly to meet the clinical demands to sterile items.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE To investigate the risk factors and to take some useful measures to prevent and reduce infection in order to enhance medical quality,to ensure medical security,to strengthen hospital infection manangement and to prevent hospital infection effectively. METHODS We investigated the prevalence rate of hospital infection among our hospitalized patients in 2001,2003 and 2005, respectively. RESULTS The hospital infection rate was 4.6-6.42% in these years.Risk factors and the abuse of antibiotic were decreasing. CONCLUSIONS In order to control hospital infection rate, mensures should be taken including intensively monitoring the departments with high infection rate, strengthening hospital operation, rationally using the antibiotics, and studying the management for hospital infection.
