RESUMO

Background/Introduction:The proportion of TS – Q96 ranges from 1/1500 – 1.300 female newborns and about 3% of fetuses. In most of the world, TS can be diagnosed and treated at the early stages of pregnancies. In Vietnam, TS patients are frequently detected at the later stages with serious syndromes. TS diagnosis mainly relies on chromosomal analysis of amnion cells. Thus, prenatal diagnosis of TS is the rationale of this study.
', u'Objectives: Utilize chromosomal analysis and FISH methods to diagnose Turner syndrome from amnion cells.
', u'Subject and method: 30 pregnancies (from week 14-22) with high risks of TS, which were detected by ultrasound scan and triple test, 15 mil amnio fluid is withdrawn for the FISH technique from interphase amniocytes and amnio cultures, chromosomal analysis from metaphase cultured cells.
', u'Results/Outcomes: Chromosomal analysis and FISH analysis give the same results: - 12/30 fetus with TS, 5/30 fetus with normal female results, – 4/30 fetus with normal male normal results, – 4/30 fetus with Down syndrome, – 5/30 fetus with Edward syndrome. 11/12 TS fetus have large cystic hygromas, 9/11 cystic hygromas are separated. 12/12 TS fetus have triple test (+) with the threshold: APF ≤ 0.7 MoM, HCG ≥ 2 MoM, uE3 ≤ 0.7 MoM.
', u'Conclusion:Chromosonal analysis and FISH are standards for diagnosing TS fetus. FISH can provide a quick result (48-72h).
', u'

RESUMO

Objective To explore the effect and mechanism of fluvastatin preventing and curing restenosis. Methods 48 rabbits were randomly divided into 3 groups. In control group, rabbits were given basic food. In balloon injury group, rabbits were given basic food and balloon injury of general artery on right neck. In fluvastatin balloon group, rabbits were given basic food, ballon injury of general artery and 10mg?kg -1 ?d -1 fluvastatin. The expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-2 of mRNA was detected at 3, 7, 14 and 30 days after injury respectively by method of in site hybridization. Results There was little expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-2 mRNA in control group, and the expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-2 mRNA in middle membrane of blood vessels began at 3 days after blood injury, and reached maximum at 7 days after injury. There was a little expression of MMP-9 and TIMP mRNA in inner membrane of blood vessels at 14 and 30 days after injury, and MMP-9 expression significantly decreased after the fluvastatin interference(P

RESUMO

Objective Study on the pattern of changes of bFGF and FGFRl mRNA occurred in the experimental brain injury model in order to provide scientific basis for the diagnosis, forensic identification and clinical treatment, and also for further ascertaining the molecular mechanism of brain injury. Methods Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 3 groups: normal control, sham operation, and injury groups. The rats of injury groups were subjected to moderate lateral fluid percussion brain injury (0.2MPa). The injury groups was then subdivided into 30min, 1h, 3h, 6h, 12h, 1d, 3d and 7d groups according to the time elapsed after injury. In situ hybridization (ISH) and RT-PCR were used for studying the mRNA expression of both bFGF and FGFRl factors. Results (1) In the brain of normal control and sham operation control groups, mRNA levels of bFGF and FGFRl were low; (2) There is gradual increase of bFGF and FGFRl mRNA levels could be observed 6h to 3d after injury both in cortex and brain stem, then partly declined at 7d; (3) In hippocampus, the gradual increase occurred during 3h- 1d after injury, then partly declined at 3d, and returned to basal level at 7d. Conclusions The results suggested that brain injury induced the gene expressions of bFGF and FGFR1. The bFGF may contribute to maintenance of nerve cell survival and the repair of damaged neural tissues after CNS injury and the patterns of their level change were quite regular. It is potentially useful for timing of injury in forensic medical practice.
