RESUMEN Introducción: las tecnologías de la información y comunicación hacen referencia a un concepto empleado para designar lo relativo a la informática conectada a internet. Para todo tipo de aplicaciones educativas, las tecnologías de la información y comunicación son medios y no fines, son herramientas y materiales de construcción que facilitan el aprendizaje, el desarrollo de habilidades y distintas formas de aprender. Objetivos: diagnosticar el comportamiento del uso de las tecnologías de la información y el conocimiento, como recurso de aprendizaje, en los estudiantes de pregrado en la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de Matanzas. Materiales y Método: se aplicó una encuesta a una muestra de 90 estudiantes de pregrado y a 12 profesores. Se creó una base de datos automatizada y se resumió la información primaria haciendo uso de técnicas estadísticas descriptivas. Resultados: la mayoría de los estudiantes (61,1%) considera importante el uso de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación en su formación, pero el 25,6% no la utiliza, el 54,6 % no está conforme con el tiempo de uso de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación en clases, el 41,1% no tiene habilidades para la búsqueda de información, el 72,1 % considera que el uso, espacio y las condiciones de los medios y tecnologías que se dan en esta institución no son buenos y el 100 % de los profesores platean la necesidad de capacitación en este aspecto. Conclusión: se evidenció la necesidad de potenciar las habilidades de los alumnos, en cuanto al uso de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación y capacitar a los docentes (AU).
SUMMARY Introduction: Information and communication technologies (ICTs) refer to a concept used to designate what is related to Informatics connected to Internet. For all kind of educational applications, ICTs are means and not ends; they are construction tools and materials that facilitate learning, skills development and different ways of learning. Objectives: to diagnose the behavior of the use of information and communication technologies (TIC's), as a learning resource, in undergraduate students in the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Matanzas. Materials and method: a survey was applied to a sample of 90 undergraduate students and 12 teachers. An automated database was created and primary information was summarized using descriptive statistical techniques. Results: most of students (61.1%) consider the use of ICTs in their training to be important, but 25.6% do not use it; 54.6% is not satisfied with the time of use of ICT during lessons; 41.1% do not have information searching skills, 72.1% consider that the use, space and conditions of the means and technologies existing in this institution is not good and 100 % of teachers address the need for training in this aspect. Conclusion: It is evident the need to strengthen the skills of the students, in terms of the use of ICTs, and to train the teachers (AU).

RESUMEN Introducción: la utilización del software educativo favorece el desarrollo integral de la personalidad de los estudiantes universitarios, porque permite una transformación en el enfoque de la enseñanza actual, cuando se considera al estudiante dentro de un entorno interactivo de aprendizaje. Objetivo: elaborar un software educativo del tema Introducción a la Genética Médica de Morfofisiología III para estudiantes del tercer año de Licenciatura en Enfermería. Métodos: se realizó una investigación de desarrollo en educación médica en el campo de recursos de aprendizaje en la Filial de Ciencias Médicas Arides Estévez Sánchez, de Holguín, Cuba, de octubre de 2011 a junio de 2012, en una primera y segunda etapas, y de octubre a diciembre de 2016, en una tercera etapa. Resultados: el medio de enseñanza más usado fue la pizarra y el ciento por ciento de los profesores consideró necesario elaborar el software. En la categoría criterio de los estudiantes sobre los aspectos cualitativos del recurso de aprendizaje, se apreció que el ciento por ciento señaló como excelente su acceso, así como la significación de los temas y la formación de valores éticos, morales y actitudes positivas. A la utilidad para desarrollar el estudio independiente, el 90% lo evaluó también de excelente. Conclusiones: se elaboró un recurso del aprendizaje con el empleo de la informática educativa en el tema de Introducción a la Genética Médica, mediante la estructuración de los contenidos del programa, a partir de sus objetivos, con el fin de lograr criterios favorables de los estudiantes sobre su uso.
ABSTRACT Introduction: educational software favors the students 'academic personality development and transforms current teaching approach, where students perform inside an interactive learning environment. Subject: to create an educational software on Medical Genetics Introduction of Morphophysiology III, for 3rd year nursing students. Methods: a medical education development research about learning resources in the Medical Sciences Branch Arides Estévez Sánchez of Holguín, Cuba, from October 2011 to June 2012 in 1st and 2nd stages and from October to December 2016 in a 3rd stage. Results: blackboard was the most used teaching medium. The 100% of teachers considered it necessary to elaborate the software. Students' criteria category on quality aspects of the learning resource reached 100% excellent, as well as topics significance and students' formation on ethical- moral values and positive attitudes. Software utility for independent study was evaluated excellent by the 90% of students. Conclusion: a learning resource with the use of educational informatics on Medical Genetics Introduction was developed. Program structure was based on objectives and favorable students´ criteria.

The traditional teaching method of the medical curricculum, gynecology and obstetrics nursing has many problem. The flipped classroom subvetted the traditional teaching structure, and realizes the advance of knowledge transfer and optimization of knowledge internalization. The research group made design , recorded micro-course video and used the free and open source of Moodle course management platform to implement flipped classroom. The interactive function of the platform released learning tasks before class, had discussion in class and answered after-class quesstions. The subjectivity of students was highly emphasized . The results showed that the flipped classroom can improve students' academic performance, develop students' good study habits and learning interest, and also bears significance for the cultivation of autonomic learning ability and critical thinking.

Se confeccionó una multimedia educativa denominada ODONTOFIT, para proporcionar a los estudiantes el aprendizaje de los contenidos básicos sobre medicina herbolaria, en correspondencia con la estrategia curricular de la medicina tradicional y natural propuesta en el plan de estudio D de la carrera de estomatología. Esta se elaboró mediante las herramientas Crheasoft 2.0, Adobe Photoshop 6.0 y Pinnacle Studio 14; asimismo, se estructuró en 4 módulos: Inicio, Temario, Galería y Ayuda, los cuales permiten apropiarse de manera asequible de los contenidos relacionados con este tema.
An educational multimedia called ODONTOFIT was implemented, to provide the students the learning of basic contents on herbal medicine, in correspondence to the curricular strategy of the traditional and natural medicine proposed in the study D of the Stomatology career. This was elaborated by means of the tools Creasoft 2.0, Adobe Photoshop 6.0 and Pinnacle Studio 14; also, it was structured in 4 modules: beginning, agenda, gallery and help, which allow to acquire in affordable way the contents related to this topic.

EnziSoft es un programa informático educativo de tipo tutorial, realizado por medio del CMS Joomla con html, PHP, MySQL y otras herramientas básicas, tales como: Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, Macromedia Flash 8, Abby Fine Reader 8, Hot Potatoes 6 y Adobe Photoshop 8. Dirigido a estudiantes de medicina, médicos en formación, residentes de la especialidad de bioquímica clínica, docentes de la materia, investigadores y profesionales de la salud en general, facilita comprender y ejercitar lo relacionado con las enzimas en la asignatura de Bioquímica, si bien puede ser utilizado para otros contenidos, previa adecuación de los temas. Incluye también videos, curiosidades, material de consulta actualizado y un glosario de términos, por lo cual constituye un recurso de aprendizaje auxiliar que permite integrar conocimientos y se caracteriza por ser sencillo y de fácil navegación; ventajas muy apreciadas por alumnos y profesores
EnziSoft is an educational software of tutorial type conducted by means of the CMS Joomla with html, PHP, MySQL and other basic tools, such as Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, Macromedia Flash 8, Abby Fine Reader 8, Hot Potatoes 6 and Adobe Photoshop 8. Designed for medical students, doctors in training, and residents in the specialty of clinical biochemistry, teachers of this subject, researchers and health professionals in general, it facilitates the understanding and teaching of all aspects related to the enzymes in the biochemistry subject, although it can be used for other contents with previous adequacy of the topics. It also includes videos, curiosities, updated reference materials and a glossary of terms, reason why it is an auxiliary learning resource, which can integrate knowledge, characterized by being simple and easy to navigate; advantages appreciated by students and teachers

Para dar respuesta al problema que presentan los estudiantes de Ciencias Médicas con el nivel de abstracción necesario para la comprensión de los complejos procesos originados en el interior del cuerpo humano, entre de los que se encuentra la respiración, se realizó un análisis entre los profesores de los departamentos de Fisiología y Computación atendiendo el criterio de los estudiantes de años superiores, y se concluyó que era posible aplicar una solución computadorizada, unida a cierta estrategia pedagógica que puediera constituir una alternativa viable para resolver las dificultades existentes. Se explica cómo fue concebido y ejecutado el proyecto; lo que permite conocer diversos enfoques teóricos actuales sobre la utilización de la enseñanza asistida por computadoras, estrategia pedagógica seguida y características del sistema, entre otros aspectos de interés. Se realizó con éxito la validación del sistema con profesores de Fisiología y Computación y un grupo de estudiantes de Medicina
To give an answer to the problem the medical students have with the level of abstraction necessary to comprehend the complex processes originated inside the human body, such as respiration, it was made an analysis among the professors of the departments of Physiology and Computers, taking into account the criterion of students from higher years. It was concluded that it was possible to apply a computerized solution, together with certain pedagogical strategy that may be an alternative to solve the existing difficulties. It was explained how the project was designed and implemented, which allowed to know diverse current theoretical approaches on the utilization of computer-assisted education, the pedagogical strategy followed and the characteristics of the system, among other aspects of interest. The validation of the system was successfully carried out with professors of Physiology and Computers and a group of medical students.
