We applied a new teaching mode,combining problem-based learning (PBL) with extended teaching in clinical internship and case discussion,in order to adapt to the new situation in infectious diseases.The teaching efficacy was evaluated by questionnaire and classroom effect.The results showed that the new mode cultivated the students' self-learning ability and broadened their professional perspective.

Medical interns’ indifferences to clinical practice of lemology and changes in infec-tious disease spectrum were analyzed at present. Practical applicability of lemology knowledge should be defined clearly for medical interns in entrance education. Concepts of disinfectant and isolation should be enhanced. Clinical competence,communication skill with patients and medical ethics of medical interns should be cultured in order to achieve better clinical practice and teaching effect.

The advent of human infections with avian influenza A(H7N9)and the emerging communicable disease has brought us profound thoughts on lemology teaching recently. We analyzed the exiting challenges of lemology teaching, including great changes in communicable diseases com-posing but limited class hours, decreasing of communicable diseases cases, medical students' psycho-logical apprehension, lack of teachers, more and more requirements in the prevention and treatment for communicable diseases from the public, etc. Several suggestions on how to further improve the lemology teaching quality were proposed including adjusting the curriculum arrangement, paing atten-tion to accumulate teaching cases, applying multi-media materials, taking full advantage of the teach-ing cases from specialized hospital, teaching students knowledge about themselves protection, improv-ing the quality of young teachers, emphasizing discipline characteristics and the importance of public health, reforming the teaching method and promoting the effect of teaching in communicable diseases.

The evaluation of undergraduate course teaching by the Ministry of Education is a challenge to all our teachers,but it is also a chance for us to improve the teaching quality of infectious disease class.In this article we summarized the experience of the infectious disease education reform of many years,and discussed the approach and means of improving the teaching quality of infectious disease class.

Case analysis method,which was a new teaching mode,was proposed for some problems in current traditional teaching mode.The concrete operation content of case analysis method in lemological teaching was described.The results of the survey analysis showed that the teaching effectiveness of the new teaching mode was obviously better than that of traditional teaching mode.

The article introduces a set of efficient English teaching methods through continuous practice and reform.The methods are based on the characteristics of the foreign students.It includes choosing the book in English and compiling English-Chinese bilingualism textbook,question-based and quiz-based teaching in class and reviewing after class and so on.The methods have shown good effects in raising quality of teaching to the international students.At the same time there are some problems in the Lemology teaching.

The following measures have been taken with improved teaching effects in our recent practice of lemological teaching Firstly,we adjusted our teaching scope from classical communicable diseases to infectious diseases and brought the newest progress into our contents.Secondly,we adopted rich and colorful teaching methods to boost the students' learning interest.Thirdly,the students' clinical capabilities have been emphasized in our lemological examination.And lastly,multimedia has been employed to display our contents more actively.
