A fundamental prerequisite for implant-supported prosthetics is a uniform distribution of forces on bone adjacent to the implants, and this is only possible when the adaptation of the prosthesis to the prosthetic components occurs in a passive fashion. The absence of this adaptation may generate forces at the level of the bone-implant interface and may lead to a remodeling of bone resulting form the dislocation of the implant. The whole problem is even more serious when an immediate charge is required, which is a technique characterized by the application of forces to the implants in up to 48 hours following the placement of the implants. The purpose of the present paper is to report a clinical case of an immediate charge over a protocol prosthesis with a titanium infrastructure soldered by laser, thereby providing a better adaptation of the prosthesis and consequently a lesser transmission of stress onto the bone adjacent to the implant.
