RESUMO

Background: India today has over 61 million people residing in urban slums. Slums, on one hand, lack the basic requirements of housing, sanitation, and water supply that are detrimental for good health and on the other hand subject its residents to extreme poverty, unemployment and stress. Exposure to these environmental factors is expected to cause a distinct sort of morbidity pattern, which this study seeks to explore. Methods: This cross-sectional study was a secondary data analysis of aggregated data of patients who availed health services at the mobile medical unit (MMU) of the Ujjivan program run by Piramal Swasthya in the last one year. The project has a fleet of MMUs that makes at least one predestined monthly visit to each service point in urban slums of Bangalore (42 sites), Pune (18 sites) and Mumbai (19 sites). Results: Musculoskeletal disorders (30.69%) and cardiovascular diseases (25.56%) together accounted for 56.25% of the total disease burden. The analysis of blood pressure readings of all the registrations showed that the mean systolic and diastolic pressures were 129.71 and 84.92 mmHg respectively. 51.58% of all individuals had hypertension and 23.51 % had diabetes. Conclusions: According to the study a major proportion of urban populous seeking healthcare at the MMU are women and elderly and do so for non-communicable diseases. Hypertension and diabetes are major health threats among them. MMU could be used as an effective mode of service delivery for women and the elderly especially, for chronic diseases

RESUMO

The information-based war has brought unprecedented challenges to the existing support ability of mobile medical service units in military hospitals, and combat readiness training is particularly important for improving its support ability. Combat readiness training is the main way to improve its support ability, a powerful means to improve the level of standardized management, a powerful lever to promote the development of medical equipment, a practical source to promote the theoretical innovation of medical service, a platform to test the design of medical service programs, and an inevitable measure to cultivate the spirit of combat. The above six aspects were analyzed in this paper to effectively solve the bottleneck of combat readiness training, so as to further strengthen the combat readiness training of mobile medical service units in military hospitals under the condition of information war, and improve the effect and level of combat readiness training.

RESUMO

Under the information condition, there remain many problems in consciousness, training talents, training contents and training methods in the combat readiness training of mobile medical service forces in military hospitals, which reduces the pertinence and effectiveness of combat readiness training and also affects the effect of combat readiness training. In this review, we systematically analyzed the bottleneck problems of combat readiness training in the above 4 aspects, providing new ideas for effectively solving them, so as to truly implement the combat readiness training and effectively improve the service of military hospital mobile medical service forces.

RESUMO

Objective: Previous studies have investigated medical students’ interest in family medicine, as well as their intentions to work in rural areas after taking part in community-based clinical clerkships. Community-based clerkships are designed to teach medical students community healthcare and to increase the number of physicians working in rural communities following their graduation. However, few studies have examined which clerkship experiences, specifically, enhance medical students’ positive perceptions on community healthcare. This study aimed to examine the association between experiential learning in community-based clerkships and students’ positive perceptions on community healthcare.Patients and Methods: From 2015 to 2017, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 290 final year medical students, before and after completion of their community-based clerkships. The survey asked the students about their perceptions (categorized into “Worthwhile” and “Confident”) of community healthcare and experiential learning during their clerkships. We assessed 13 medical learning areas involving healthcare, medical care, welfare, and nursing care practice. Multivariable logistic regression was used to evaluate the factors associated with positive student perceptions. Results: Of the 290 students, 265 (91.3%) completed both the pre- and post-questionnaires. Of these, 124 (46.8%) were female, 67 (25.2%) were from small towns (of <100,000 people), and 87 (32.8%) selected clinical clerkships within depopulated areas. A total of 205 (73.3%) students reported positive perceptions on community healthcare. There was a significant association discovered between students’ positive perceptions on community-based healthcare and them taking part in experiential learning in mobile medical services (43 [16.2%] students experienced mobile medical services—adjusted odds ratio 6.65, 95%, confidence intervals 1.67–26.4, p = 0.007).Conclusion: Medical students’ positive perceptions on community healthcare were discovered to be associated with them taking part in experiential learning in mobile medical services during their community-based clerkships.

RESUMO

The combination of mobile medical technology and the grading diagnosis and treatment system (GDTS) can stimulate the allocation of medical resources, reduce medical cost and improve public health significantly. Firstly we summarize development features of mobile medical technology in foreign and domestic market, then we study the application model of mobile medical application in GDTS with field research data and analyzes its advantage and shortage. Finally, we propose four measures for further developing mobile medical application in the GDTS:the government departments should formulate policies and industry standards of products as soon as possible to meet requirement of market; service providers should take the hospitals as core role to achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation; take the daily monitoring of chronic diseases as an entry point to build profitable business model; enhance publicity to promote public health awareness.

RESUMO

This paper reviews the current mobile business research hotspots, and explores the influencing fac-tors of the users' initial trust in the mobile medical background. For the first time, the TAM model is integrated into this study to explore the current situation. At the same time, we introduce the research scope and dimension of the perceived reputation in this context by combining the retreat avoidance and the related group variables in China. The trust mechanism was used to construct the research model on mobile medical care. A questionnaire survey and struc-tural equation model validation served to find out that product participation, the relevant groups, the perception of hospital and doctor's reputation and the security system have a significant impact on the user's initial trust in the mo-bile medical channel. The study results suggest that the mobile medical platform Interaction perfects the whole chan-nel service and at the same time does a good job of the platform itself.
