RESUMO

Meridian guide theory of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is an experience summary of pharmacologists in past dynasties, which develops together with the meridian theory, and plays a pivotal role in guiding the rational clinical application. In recent years, many researchers have been devoted to the study of meridian guide theory and have obtained some substantive progress. Based on the idea of tracing origin and seeking innovation, the theoretical origin and modern research are taken as the thread, the emergence is summarized and analyzed; And the construction and application of meridian guide theory, as well as research progress in the past five years are reviewed in this paper, with a view to provide positive help for the standardized use of meridian guide medicine, and also provide reference for the further study of the effect of meridian guide medicine.

RESUMO

Pheretima has a long history of medication, its original name was earthworm, and it was first recorded in Shennong Bencaojing, which was listed as inferior product. In the 2015 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia, two varieties of Pheretima were included. However, due to the variety of Pheretima, there are mixed non-pharmacopoeia collection of Pheretima family status. Based on the systematic review of ancient and modern literature, this paper conducts herbal textual research on Pheretima in terms of name, origin, distribution of origin, genuine production area, harvesting time, processing methods, etc. Based on the analysis of various ancient books and modern research documents of herbal medicine and their accompanying drawings, it is found that the Pheretima and white-necked Pheretima mentioned in ancient books are the general names of the genus Pheretima. The ancient people thought that white-necked Pheretima was a good medicinal material, which was the same as the opinion that Guangdilong was better in quality than Tudilong in modern research. In ancient and modern literature, the origin of earthworm is relatively consistent, but due to the change of environment, the output of wild Pheretima is reduced, and now the output of Pheretima is mainly artificial breeding. In ancient times, harvesting should be as far as possible in spring, summer and autumn. However, in modern times, the best harvest time is autumn. Different processing methods of earthworm in different ages and regions are different. Attention should be paid to following and inheriting the ancient processing methods, combining with modern research techniques, the quantitative standard of processing of Pheretima should be formulated, so that Pheretima medicinal materials can be applied comprehensively and effectively. This research provides the basis for the original source, resource development, correct use, genuine producing area and processing method determination of Pheretima.

RESUMO

Zhenwutang is the classic formula of Wenyang Lishui in " Treatise on Febrile Diseases" . It consists of five kinds of medicines, namely Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, Poria, Paeoniae Radix Alba or Paeoniae Radix Rubra. It has been included in the Catalogue of Ancient Classics (The First Batch) issued by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2018.There are two articles in the " Treatise on Febrile Diseases" about the syndromes of Zhenwutang. On the basis of Article 82 of the Chapter of Taiyang disease, the Taiyang disease is demonstrated by sweating, but after that the patient still suffers from fever, epigastric throb, dizziness and shiver, this shall be treated with Zhenwutang. According to Article 316 of the chapter of Shaoyin disease, Shaoyin disease lasts for two or three days, until the fourth and fifth days, and is demonstrated by abdominal pain, difficult urination, severe pain in the limbs and diarrhea, the patient have a cough, diuresis, diarrhea and vomit, this shall be treated with Zhenwutang. The original texts discuss the basic pathogenesis is edema syndrome due to Yin and Yang deficiency, with symptoms of unfavorable urination, heavy limbs or edema, pale tongue, white moss and heavy pulse as dialectical points. In terms of the compatibility of prescriptions, usage and dosage, and the interpretation of prescriptions, this paper examines Zhenwutang syndromes in " Treatise on Febrilediseases" , summarizes the material basic research of Zhenwutang, and provides the basis for the quality control of its compound pharmacodynamics. This study summarizes the progress of pharmacological research for Zhenwutang in recent years, finds that Zhenwutang has many efficacies, such as cardiotonic, diuretic, lowering lipid, anti-oxidation, improving renal function and balancing of water and liquid metabolism, lists traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndromes treated with Zhenwutang, such as heart palpitations, edema, cough, abdominal pain, sipping, dizziness, and Western medicine diseases, like congestive heart failure, pulmonary heart disease, bronchial asthma, chronic colitis, cirrhosis, ascites, chronic glomerulonephritis, chronic renal failure, benign prostatic hyperplasia and Meniere's syndrome, expounds the principle of Zhenwutang for " treating different diseases with the same therapy" , in order to provide useful reference for the research and development and clinical application of Zhenwutang and more classic prescriptions.

RESUMO

The herb pair is the simple and exquisite experience summary accumulated by generations of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) experts in the process of long-term herbal prescription for curing diseases. Although it is only a combination of two herbs, it is cleverly matched and properly proportioned, which can well interpret TCM characteristics of "great combination and artful application". Moreover, the herb pair is an intermediate point between single herb and several TCM formulae, which implicates certain regularity and some connotation of many TCM formulae for diagnosis and treatment based on an overall analysis of the illness and the patient's condition. Our team has long been focusing on the complexity of drug interactions and the diversity of TCM components to carry out systematic research on herb pair by using modern scientific and technological knowledge and approaches. As results, a series of modern research approaches and strategies formed for the compatibility effect and bio-active components of the herb pair. By representing the principles and application characteristics of these approaches, this paper provides important support for elucidating scientific connotation of compatibility regularity of herb pairs and application of formulae optimization, as well as explorative ideas and approaches for modern research on other herb pairs.

RESUMO

The processing of Chinese herb medicine( PCHM) is the premise and necessity of treating diseases in traditional Chinese medicine( TCM). After processing,Chinese herbal medicine can achieve the effects of correcting odor, inducing channel tropism, changing drug properties and reducing toxicity. As the most important part of TCM theory system,Chinese medicine property, involving four odors and five flavors, ascending and descending, channel tropism, toxicity and side effects. In recent years, with the development of modern science and technology, many researches on the changes of properties of Chinese herb medicines by PCHM have been reported. In this paper, the researches in four aspects of processing method, chemical composition, medicinal effect and biological effect on properties changes by PCHM were reviewed,so as to discuss the modern research ideas and technologies, and explain the importance of the increase of clinical efficacy of TCM through property changes by PCHM. In the end,the future research ideas and cutting-edge technologies were discussed to make the studies on property changes by PCHM more systematic and deeper.

RESUMO

This article is based on the Li Dai Zhong Yao Pao Zhi Zi Liao Ji Yao as a clue to review the historical literature and modern data on processing Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma in China, and summarized the relevant contents. Processing methods of Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma have history on the net system, cutting system, heating processing and various accessories processing records, but now the processing methods of Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma are relatively simple, only the methods of net production, ultra-micro-decoction, charcoal, and wine frying are included in the historical "Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China" and local processing specifications. In modern times, the processing methods of wine, licorice gentian, ginger, charcoal, vinegar, and salt for Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma have rationality and quality controllability. Through combing the historical evolution and research progress of processing of Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma, this article provided references for study on modern processing.
