RESUMO

Objective To analyze the detection level and distribution characteristics of occupational contraindications in pre-employment occupational health examination, and to provide a reference for relevant management departments to strengthen the control of personnel exposed to occupational hazards. Methods The data of pre-employment occupational health examination of 2 626 workers in a vehicle manufacturing enterprise from September 2018 to December 2020 were collected. The detection rate of occupational contraindications was calculated according to the judgement standard, and the distribution of occupational contraindications in different gender, length of service and age was analyzed. Results The detection rate of occupational contraindications was 13.71%, and there was no significant difference between the genders. The detection rate in the 40-45 years old group was the highest (31.75%), and the difference among the different age groups was statistically significant (χ2=30.16, P2=30.20, P<0.01). Conclusion Relevant departments should strengthen the occupational health supervision and management of vehicle manufacturing enterprises and urge enterprises to pay attention to the pre-job occupational health examination as well as the health of workers.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the current status of silica dust hazard in workplaces of Jiangxi Province. METHODS: The level of silica dust in the air of workplaces, occupational health examination of the dust-exposed workers and diagnosis of occupational disease in 1 557 enterprises in Jiangxi Province were investigated and analyzed. RESULTS: The 1 557 enterprises were included in eight industries, and the main types of enterprises were non-coal mining, ceramic products manufacturing and stone processing industry(a total of 85.16%). There were 4 029 jobs/positions that were involved in exposure to silica dust in these workplaces. Among them, the exposure concentration of time weighted average(C_(TWA)) of total dust and respirable dust exceeded 21.52% and 20.55%, respectively. The posts where the total dust and respirable dust that exceed the standard were found in the quartz sand processing industry, non-ferrous metal smelting industry and stone processing industry, that were the top three among the eight industries(all P<0.01). Among the 828 posts with C_(TWA) of respiratory dust exceeding the standard, the C_(TWA) exceeding rate of mild-, moderate-and high-hazardous jobs were 3.87%(156/4 029), 1.66%(67/4 029) and 15.02%(605/4 029), respectively. Among 23 643 dust-exposed workers, the detection rates of occupational contraindications and suspected silicosis were 2.06% and 1.51%, and the prevalence of silicosis was 1.21%. CONCLUSION: Silica dust hazard in workplaces of quartz sand processing industry, non-ferrous metal smelting industry and stone processing industry are serious in Jiangxi Province. The supervision and management of occupational health should be further strengthened to guarantee the occupational health of workers.

In 2017, the distribution of occupational health care for toxic and harmful workers in Ningbo was mainly based on manufacturing (187 681/220 895, 84.96%) , private economic enterprises (103 960/220 895, 47.06%) and small enterprises (100 357/220 895, 45.43%) , Workers exposed to chemical poisons had the largest number of physical examinations (101 813/220 895, 46.09%) . The highest detection rates of suspected occupational diseases were mining industry (2/1225, 0.16%) , collective economic enterprises (4/2622, 0.15%) and small enterprises (88/100 357, 0.09%) . The highest detection rates of occupational contraindications were rental and business services (16/1 320, 1.21%) , private economic enterprises (1 190/103 960, 1.14%) and small enterprises (995/100 357, 0.99%) . In addition, workers exposed to dust had the highest detection rate of suspected occupational diseases (57/46 740, 0.12%) and workers exposed to physical factors had the highest detection rate of occupational contraindications (1207/69 567, 1.74%) . There were significant differences between the detection rate of suspected occupational disease and occupational contraindication in different industries, economic types, enterprise scale and occupational hazards (P<0.05) .@*Conclusion@#The occupational health surveillance of toxic and harmful workers in Ningbo has been strengthened year by year, attention should be paid to small, private enterprises, and strengthen the supervision of occupational health and further standardize the work of occupational health examination so as to effectively protect the health of the occupational population.

RESUMO

Objective@#To understand the status of occupational health surveillance to workers exposed to toxic environment in a city, so as to provide scientific basis for strategy of occupational diseases prevention.@*Methods@#In January 2017, collecting the data of on-the-job poisonous and harmful workers occupational health surveillance in the city from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2016 in China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention, the trend of occupational health monitoring in the city was analyzed, and the differences between diverseeconomic types, enterprise scale, industry nature and hazard factors were analyzed and compared.@*Results@#The occupational health examination rate showed an overall upward trend in workers exposed to dust in the city from 2010-2016 (t=3.607, P<0.05) , and the detection rate of occupational contraindications was on the rise in workers exposed to chemical factors (t=3.071, P<0.05). The detection rate of occupational contraindications and suspected occupational diseaseswere significant in different economic types, enterprise scale, industry nature and hazard factors (P<0.05). The detection rate of occupational contraindications was the highest among the large enterprises (1.24%) , the manufacturing industry (0.84%) and the state-owned economy (1.49%). The detection rate of suspected occupational diseases (0.04%) and occupational contraindications (1.15%) were the highest in the physical factors.@*Conclusion@#Occupational health monitoring in the city is not optimistic. It is necessary to focuson the occupational health care of manufacturing practitioners, raise the detection rate of suspected occupational diseases, and standard the occupational health check work to protect the occupational health.
