RESUMO

The pediatrician training system includes four levels of construction mode:the pediatric professional training for general practitioner, general pediatric professional training, pediatric skills training of community in-service physicians and pediatric continuing education for general pedestrians by Pediatric Professional Committee. Standardized and homogeneous training will help to improve children's health service system and change the current shortage of pediatric clinicians at the primary level.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To provide baseline data of safe and rational drug use in pediatrics. METHODS:The pediatrics outpatient prescriptions were randomly selected from pediatric department of The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medi-cal University during Mar. 2014-Feb. 2015. The behavior of off-label drug use was determined according to the content of drug instruction. The type of off-label drug use,the relationship of different age groups with various drugs were analyzed. RE-SULTS:A total of 2400 outpatient prescriptions were collected from pediatric department,5115 medication records were ana-lyzed,involving 171 kinds of drugs. By the number of prescriptions, medication records and drug types, the incidence of off-la-bel drug use were 59.08%,40.87% and 80.70%,respectively. The main categories of drug off-label use were off-label dosing frequency(43.03%),off-label dosage(29.55%)and off-label indication(18.83%). The incidence of off-label drug use in in-fants and adolescents ranked the top 2 places, being 67.58%,63.01%. The top-four drugs in the list of the incidence of off-la-bel drug use were drugs for external use(55.56%),drugs for nerve system(54.12%),drugs for respiratory system(48.95%) and nutritional agents(48.09%). CONCLUSIONS:The phenomenon of drug off-label use is widespread in pediatric outpatient prescriptions.

RESUMO

ObjectiveTo study the effect of three-level monitoring mode in reducing complications of pediatric PICC catheter tube and improving the quality of care for children. Methods64 cases of children with PICC catheter in our hospital from September 2009 to August 2011 receiving three-level monitoring modes were set as the experimental group.67 patients with conventional care from September 2007 to August 2009 were set as the control group. The incidence of catheter complications in children, success rate of catheter puncture and tube indwelling time for the two groups were observed. Results The complications occurred in 9 cases, accounting for 14.06% in the experimental group. The complications occurred in 25 cases in the control group, accounting for 37.31%.The puncture success rate was 89.06% in the experimental group, and the control group was 79.10%.The average time of tube indwelling in the experimental group was higher than the control group. The difference was significant. ConclusionsThe effect of three-level monitoring modes to reduce pediatric PICC catheter complications and improve quality of care in children with catheter is significant,it can increase the success rate of puncture and prolong tube in-dwelling time.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE To estimate the prevalence of nosocomial infections(NI)and the use of antibacterials in pediatric department, find the problems in management of hospital infection and provide the scientific basis for formulating prevention and control measures.METHODS By bed-visiting and patients' medical records checking,we filled out unified case questionnaire. All patients were investigated on August 22,2007.RESULTS Of the 86 patients investigated, the prevalence rate of NI was 4.65%.There were 19 kinds of antibiotics used daily. The daily antibiotics use rate was 95.35%;all of the infection sites were in upper respiratory tract and delivering rate of bacterial culture was only 14.63%.CONCLUSIONS Management and training should be strengthened on antibacterial drug in the pediatric department. The reasonable use of target antibiotics could prevent the abuse ment.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution of infectious diseases and diagnostic and therapeutic conditions in pediatric department of a general hospital, and try to find out the measures to decrease hospital infection.METHODS From Jan 2004 to Dec 2005,507 cases of infectious diseases were retrospectively analyzed in pediatric department of our hospital.RESULTS Among them epidemic parotitis, infectious diarrhea and bacillary dysentery were 56.2%,20.1%,and 17.4%,respectively.Others were measles, scarlet fever, rebella, viral hepatitis, epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis, typhoid, and syphilis.Among the cases, the most were outpatients.CONCLUSIONS Because the species of infectious diseases are various and the amount are large, the pediatric department is important in a general hospital for management of hospital infection.Strengthening the standardized management of pediatric infectious diseases and taking strong measures may play the important role in control the cross infection.
