RESUMO
Such management theories as social exchange, equity and incentives are called into play to probe, from an array of perspectives, into the functionality and role of the employee orientation in people-oriented concept as it is used in contemporary hospital management. The paper also analyzed the dialectical relationship between the concept of "employee-orientation" and that of "patients or customers orientation", and the dialectical relationship between "people-orientation" model and "policy-orientation" model It pinpoints the mistake of overemphasizing "patients or customer orientation" and neglecting employee management in hospital management, proposing a people-oriented path centering on employees in hospital management.
RESUMO
In order to push work in the hospitals to a new level, it is imperative to guide all aspects of it with the important thought of "Three Represents", to direct the hospitals' construction and development with the scientific approach to development, to pay attention to the direction and priority of hospital reform, and to explore and adopt a service-first operating strategy.
