RESUMO

Objective To study the effect of gradient pressure socks combined with intermittent pneumatic pressure pump on lower extremity deep venous thrombosis after gynecological laparoscopy. Methods Toally 45 patients to underwent gynecological laparoscopy during April 2013 to February 2015 were assigned as observation group and from April 2012 to March 2013 another 45 ones to undergo the same therapy were as control group. The latter was treated with routine nursing and the former with gradient pressure socks combined with intermittent pneumatic pressure pump apart from the routine nursing. The effective rate was conpared between two groups.Result The observation group was significantly more effective in the prevention of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The gradient pressure socks combined with intermittent pneumatic pressure pump can be effective in the prevention of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis after gynecological laparoscopy and thus deserves clinical popularization.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the effect of intermittent pneumatic pressure pump on the formation of deep venous thrombosis of lower extremity in elderly patients undergoing thoracotomy. Methods Fifty patients undergoing thoracic surgery were managed with intermittent pressure inflation pump besides general preventive measures. The pre-and postoperative blood flow in the lower extremity and incidences of deep venous thrombosis were compared. Result The differences in blood flow in the lower extremity and incidences of deep venous thrombosis were not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion Intermittent pneumatic pressure pump can promote pulsatile blood flow in the lower extremity so as to effectively prevent formation of deep venous thrombosis in elderly patients after thoracotomy.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the effect of leg massage during operation on deep venous thrombosis(DVT)in patients of vascular surgery department. Methods Ninety-four DVT patients were randomized into experiment group and control group according to the computer-generated numbers ,46 cases in the latter and 48 in the former. The routine care measures were applied in the control group, while intraoperative leg massage was used in the observation group. The two groups were compared in terms of curative effect and the incidence of DVT.Result The incidences of DVT in the experiment group and the control one were 2.08%(1/48)and 15.22%(7/46)respectively, showing significant difference between them(P<0.05).Conclusion The intraoperative lag massage are significant in the reduction of DVT incidences after operation.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the effect of intermittent pneumatic pressure pump on the prevention of postoperative deep vein thrombosis(DVT)in elderly patients with lung cancer. Methods One hundred and fifteen lung cancer patients were divided into the control group(n=59)and the test group(n=56).The control group received routine nursing care for the prevention of DVT and the test group were managed with intermittent pneumatic pressure pump apart from the routine nursing as in the control one.The two groups were compared in terms of deep phlebothrombosis and edema of lower limbs.Result There were significant differences between the groups in deep phlebothrombosis and edema of lower limbs as well as the incidence of DVT(P<0.05).Conclusion Intermittent pneumatic pressure pump can prevent postoperative deep venous thrombosis effectively.

RESUMO

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of intermittent pneumatic compression pump to prevent deep venous thrombosis for patients after hip surgery. Methods A total of 104 bedridden patients 72 hours after hip surgery were divided into the treatment group and the control group. Patients in the control group were administrated routine antithrombotic drugs and active functional exercise. While patients in the treatment group were provided with intermittent pneumatic compression pump as assistant based on the routine treatment and active functional exercise. The condition of deep venous thrombosis in the two groups were observed. Results Intermittent pneumatic compression pump had remarkable therapeutic effect on preventing deep venous thrombosis of lower extremity for patients lying in bed over 72 hours after hip surgery. Conclusions Intermittent pneumatic compression pump as an assistant treat -ment based on the routine antithrombotic therapy contributes to prevent deep venous thrombosis of lower extremity for patients lying in bed over 72 hours after hip surgery.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: A study of the histopathologic and neurobehavioral correlates of cortical impact injury produced by increasing impact velocity using the controlled cortical impact(CCI) injury model is studied. METHODS: Twenty-four Sprague-Dawley rats (200~250g) were given CCI injury using a pneumatically driven piston. Effect of impact velocity on a 3mm deformation was assessed at 2.5m/sec (n=6), 3.0m/sec (n=6), 3.5m/sec (n=6), and no injury (n=6). After postoperative 24hours the rats were evaluated using several neurobehavioral tests including the rotarod test, beam-balance performance, and postural reflex test. Contusion volume and histopathologic findings were evaluated for each of the impact velocities. RESULTS: On the rotarod test, all the injured rats exhibited a significant difference compared to the sham-operated rats and increased velocity correlated with increased deficit (P<0.001). Contusion volume increased with increasing impact velocity. For the 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5m/sec groups, injured volumes were 18.8+/-2.3mm3, 26.8+/-3.1mm3, and 32.5+/-3.5mm3, respectively. In addition, neuronal loss in the hippocampal sub-region increased with increasing impact velocity. In the TUNEL staining, all the injured groups exhibited definitely positive cells at pericontusional area. However, there were no significant differences in the number of positive cells among the injured groups. CONCLUSION: Cortical impact velocity is a critical parameter in producing cortical contusion. Severity of cortical injury is proportional to increasing impact velocity of cortical injury.
