The pace of modern life, both socio-cultural and technologically, has led to an increase of diseases and conditions that affect the physical-motor capabilities of persons. This increase has originated the development of prototypes to help patients to regain mobility and strength of the affected upper limb. This work, deals with the mechanical structure design of an exoskeleton with 4 degrees freedom for upper limb. Which has the capacity to adjust to the Mexican patient anthropometry (arm length, forearm extension, geometry conditions of the back and the patient's height) BLITZ QFD method was applied to establish the conceptual design and loading service conditions on the structure. So, 5 quasi-static cases of study were defined and conditions for patient rehabilitation were subjected. Also by applying the finite element method the structure was analyzed due to service loading. The results presented in this work, show a new method for patient rehabilitation with mobility deficiencies in the upper limb. The proposed new design allows the rehabilitation of the upper limb under 4 degrees of freedom (tree degrees of freedom at shoulder and one at the elbow), which is perfect to perform active and passive therapy. Additionally, it is an equipment of low cost, which can be affordable to almost all the country population.

The objective of present paper is the functional and cosmetic solution for a patient with mutilation of second and third hand rays and arthrodesis of the thumb IF in functional position (45°). An individual design of prosthesis constructed according to the own dimensions of patient, whose process was together with patient; the results from Quality Function Deployment (QFD) were analyzed to make changes and improvements in fixation mechanisms and systems also proposed according to the cinematics analysis by mobility simulations in different types of software, implementing a Withworth's double mechanism, which must to be stable and to take advantage of the lacking spaces in the hand; by Disability of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH) study we made the self-evaluation of patient. So, it was achieved the satisfaction of patient and a significant recovery of hand motor function, allowing that patient to perform more efficiently activities that before were impossible to perform, improving his quality of life and the way how himself must to face the world

The furniture industrial characterizes himself as a segment that offer products of different shapes and raw materials, and products they need to have differential to highlight and attract the interest of consumers. In Manaus, the furniture industrial is considered a stage in evolution and may note in the products offered, the total absence of characteristics that chord in the interest of consumers purchase. In this context, this article aims to provide preferences in terms of timber products to the Amazon of consumers of three economic class - A1, B2 and C residents in the city of Manaus and implementation of the Mother of the quality of QFD method for defining the concepts of products identified as the preferred economic classes analyzed. The results showed that there is little variation in preferences for types of products by economic class, and proposed to conceptually that products incorporating the attributes taken as preferred by each of the classes economic review.

RESUMO

At present, health care industries throughout the world are struggling with the challenges to set up financial structures as cost-effective ways and means of satisfying customer needs for health care services. Many hospitals consign foodservice management to foodservice companies for the purpose of efficiency. The companies taking charge of hospital foodservice are also striving to gain an advantage over keen competitions. This study applied Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to one hospital (which will be shown as [A hospital] below) managed by a contract foodservice company for the purpose of strategy planning to provide sustainable competitive advantage. First of all, this study scanned internal and external environment of [A hospital] by means of a Quality Measurement Tool and a fieldwork study. With the result of environment scanning, this study elicited 20 strategies through SWOT analysis, which were categorized by 4 perspectives such as financial, customer, internal process, learning and growth perspectives. Finally, the priorities of 20 strategies were extracted from QFD methodology. According to the results obtained by applying QFD to [A hospital] 's foodservice, the strategies which [A hospital] foodservice was obliged to introduce and implement were : the specialization of Children's hospital foodservice, scientific foodservice management through the standardization of foodservice operations, the maintenance of sanitary quality through sanitary system, the remodeling of facilities, the introduction of new equipment, the prompt and accurate response to customer needs, the development of appropriate patient menus, the provision of competitively priced meals for patient selection, the development of a demand forecast model by considering the characteristics of a children's hospital, improvement of productivity and the reduction of labor costs through the employment of experienced employees based on their seniority.
