RESUMO

ABSTRACT Introduction Badminton has a wide audience and a large development market in China. Although it benefits the flexibility of sedentary workers by recruiting the whole body's musculature, it can also cause a harmful effect due to lack of preparation or intensity during matches. Objective Study the methods of sports injury and rehabilitation of badminton players. Methods 60 badminton players with low back injuries were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The control group used the traditional method of recovery by manual techniques. An intervention with core stability training lasting 40 minutes three times a week for six weeks was added to the experimental group. Results The degree of injury of badminton players is mostly mild, with some cases of moderate and severe injury. The combination of core strengthening associated with manual therapy rehabilitation and stretching can accelerate the muscular rehabilitation of the lumbar spine. Conclusion In the rehabilitation process of badminton injuries, we should combine physical training with traditional rehabilitation techniques, increasing the effectiveness of sports rehabilitation. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation of treatment outcomes.

Objective:To investigate the association between cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) and muscle strength, and the influencing factors of CRF in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Methods:It was a single-center cross-sectional study. Patients who were treated with regular MHD from September 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 were recruited. Baseline data of MHD patients including body circumference (upper arm circumference of non-fistula, triceps skinfold thickness, and calf circumference), exercise capacity [6-min walking test (6MWT), timed up and go test (TUGT)] and upper and lower limb muscle strength (grip strength, knee extension strength) as well as clinical and biochemical data, Charlson comorbidity index were collected or measured. Cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) was used to test peak oxygen consumption per kg body weight (peakVO 2/kg) for reflecting CRF. Pearson correlation or Spearman correlation was used to analyze the correlation between peakVO 2/kg and clinical parameters. Multiple linear regression analysis (stepwise) was performed to analyze the influencing factors of peakVO 2/kg. Results:A total of 48 patients were enrolled in the study, of whom 34 were males (70.8%). The age was (60.31±10.44) years old. The median dialysis duration was 48(15, 84) months, and the peakVO 2/kg was (12.37±2.71) ml·kg -1·min -1, which was well below the normal value of 30-50 ml·kg -1·min -1. Furthermore, peakVO 2/kg was positively correlated with lower extremity muscle strength ( r=0.322, P=0.026) and 6MWT ( r=0.307, P=0.034), and negatively correlated with age ( r=-0.300, P=0.038). Multiple linear regression analysis demonstrated that lower extremity muscle strength ( β=0.241, P=0.009) and age ( β=-0.235, P=0.022) were the influencing factor of peakVO 2/kg. Conclusions:CRF of MHD patients is significantly decreased. The decrease of lower extremity muscle strength is an influencing factor of CRF reduction.

RESUMO

Objective@#To observe the effect of the respiratory rehabilitation and TCM exercises combined with conventional western medicine therapy for the patients with COPD.@*Methods@#A total of 84 patients with COPD were randomized into the control group and observation group, 42 in each group. The control group were treated with conventional Western medicine treatment, and the observation group was treated with traditional Chinese exercises "sixth tactic" treatment on the basis of control group treatment. All patients were taken one year course of treatment. The changes in lung function, AECOPD occurrence, changes in symptom scores, Hamilton heart questionnaire integration were observed; and possible changes in the factors affecting the efficacy was analyzed by Logistic regression.@*Results@#There were not significant differences in FEV1, FEV1/FVC, PEF and SpO2 between the two groups before treatment. After 1 year of treatment, the FEV1 (1.58 ± 0.21 L vs.1.33 ± 0.22 L, t=8.092), FEV1/FVC (82.92% ± 8.42% vs. 62.81% ± 8.94%, t=10.013), PEF (358.27 ± 27.03 L/min vs. 324.13 ± 32.03, t=6.272), SpO2 (99.58% ± 2.72% vs. 91.92% ± 2.89%, t=10.142) in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, Chinese medicine syndrome scores (6.3 ± 2.2 vs. 9.2 ± 2.0, t=4.652), HAMA score (6.0 ± 1.7 vs. 9.0 ± 2.0, t=4.563), HAMD score (6.1 ± 2.0 vs. 8.7 ± 1.7, t=5.094) in the observation group were superior to the subcontrol group (P<0.05). Regression analysis showed that there was a linear correlation between patient group, course of disease and outcome effect (P<0.05).@*Conclusions@#The respiratory rehabilitation and traditional Chinese medicine exercises "sixth tactic" combined with conventional treatment could release anxiety, depression and negative emotions, and improve clinical symptoms of the patients with COPD.

RESUMO

Objective To compare the early efficacy of two different ways of rehabilitation exercises in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) patients. Method From January 2011 to January 2014,136 patients having undergone TKA were randomly divided into two groups. In group A , patients exercised under the guidance with doctor. In group B, patients exercised by using continuous passive movement (CPM) machine. Compared the data from the two groups including range of motion (ROM) of the knee joint, knee function score (KFS) and circumference of the knee joint, t test of independent sample was utilized in the research. Results All patientswere followed up in 4 weeks. The ROM and KFS of Group A was significantly better than Group B (P 0.05).Conclusion Group A and B are effective methods in TKA patients in early rehabilitation training. But training under the guidance of doctor has greater advantages than CPM.
