@#Objective To explore the rehabilitation needs and its influential factors of adults with physical disability in Shanghai, and to provide evidence for decision-making of the precise rehabilitation service. Methods From November to December, 2016, the rehabilitation demands, utilization rate and its influential factors of 390 registered people with physical disability were investigated with a questionnaire. Results The service of occupational rehabilitation met 62.34%and educational rehabilitation met 52.00%of the needs of adults with physi-cal disability at the age of 18 to 40 years. The service of occupational rehabilitation met 38.71%and educational rehabilitation met 35.29%of the needs of adults with physical disability of grade two. The main obstacle to the service utilization wasDo not know(67.34%). As a part ofotherreason, the cumulative frequency oftemporarily not neededaccounted for 16.41%in all reasons. Conclusion The rehabili-tation service should focus unmet needs to complete the community rehabilitation and health governance, and optimize the service system.

@#Objective To identify the differences in the status of rehabilitation demands of adults with different disability grades so as to seek out the beneficial strategies of rehabilitation for them.Methods The data on the rehabilitation demands of persons with different disability grades in every category of disabilities had been collected from the province of Guangdong in the Second National Sampling Survey of People with Disability.Results There were significant differences in the rehabilitation needs among persons with different disabilities grade in visual, hearing, physical, intelligence disabilities. There were no significant differences in the rehabilitation needs among persons with different disabilities grade in speech, mental disabilities.Conclusion The more severe disability the persons have the more medicine services they need,however,they little asked for other rehabilitation demands such as rehabilitation services, assistive device and so on.

Antecedentes: En Costa Rica, la prestación de servicios en salud relacionados con la rehabilitación presenta una importante concentración en las áreas urbanas, ausencia de modificaciones en la prestación de servicios e inexistencia de estrategias de acción ante la transición demográfica. Las condiciones mencionadas anteriormente, producen en la red de hospitales de la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social, CCSS y por tanto en el Centro Nacional de Rehabilitación, CENARE, dificultades para la prestación de servicios de rehabilitación. Objetivo: El presente estudio realiza una aproximación a la dinámica del comportamiento de la demanda atendida en la consulta ambulatoria de la Sub-Área de Terapia Física del servicio de fisiatría del CENARE en el período 2002-2006. Materiales: Los datos se obtuvieron de los 60 informes estadísticos mensuales, con los cuales se realizó un análisis de tipo descriptivo, cuantitativa y retrospectivo. Resultados: Se evidenció un predominio de tratamientos fisioterapéuticos, agentes físicos y electroterapia en las sesiones realizadas. Conclusión: Los hallazgos permitirán desarrollar esfuerzos orientados a una mayor desconcentración de los servicios de terapia física en niveles de baja complejidad, de manera que permitan optimizar el nivel de cobertura y la accesibilidad a los servicios.


Background: In Costa Rica, health services delivery related to rehabilitation presents a major concentration in urban areas, no changes in service delivery, and lack of strategies for facing the population´s demographic transition. The conditions mentioned above, produce difficulties in providing rehabilitation services within the network of hospitals in the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social and therefore in the Centro Nacional de Rehabilitación – a National Specialized Hospital. Objective: The present study approaches the dynamics of service delivery in Physical Therapy as conducted by the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social. The main objective of the study was to analyze the behavior of demand served in the Physical Therapy Sub-Area of the Centro Nacional de Rehabilitación for patients in ambulatory consultation during the period 2002-2006. Method: The data were obtained from the 60 monthly statistical reports, with which a retrospective, descriptive and qualitative analysis was performed. Results: The results showed a predominance of physiotherapy treatments, treatments with other physical agents, and electrotherapy during the sessions. Conclusions: These findings will allow to develop efforts oriented towards a better referal to levels of lower complexity, which will permit optimization of coverage and accesibility to the services.

Objective To explore the status of rehabilitation demands and services of persons with disability in Beijing and to provide evidence for rehabilitation establishment programmed by government and civil society.Methods Using both qualitative and descriptive methodologies to analyze the data of 4852 disabled persons who had been confirmed of requiring rehabilitation services in Beijing.Data was from the Second China National Sample Survey on Disability in conferring the demands for rehabilitation services.Results The consciousness and demand for rehabilitation was higher among urban disabled residents than those living in the rural areas.Demand on rehabilitation training from children was accounted for 75.23%.Rates of demand on assistant device and medieal service among the elderly were 57.05%,66.86% respectively.Primary rehabilitation format of grade Ⅰ and Ⅱ appeared to be community-based and family service while grade Ⅲ and Ⅳ were institutional rehabilitation programs.Rates on needs regarding vision and limb accounted for 85.23% and 59.91% respectively.76.95% of the disability persons among intelligentsia needed community and family service.The rates on demand of medical treatment of mental,vision.limbs services were 92.80%,86.77% and 68.24% respectively while the demand for assistant device of hearing disability was 83.09%.Rates of demand on rehabilitative training from mental,diction and mind disabled were 84.36%.77.42%.62.82%.Other kinds of demand and services seemed relatively low other than medical treatment.Conclusion The gap between demand and salvation on rehabilitation was relatively great,suggesting the enhancement of disabled rehabilitation programs be strengthened to promote the build-up of a correct concept on rehabilitation among the disabled.Demands from the disabled persons should be extensively met.
