RESUMO

Postoperative asymptomatic patients with early cancer (lung cancer) have dormant disseminated tumor cells (DTCs) in their metastatic target organs, and the proliferation of these DTCs is the key link leading to clinical metastasis. The development of therapeutic agents to maintain DTCs dormant or eradicate dormant DTCs will prevent tumor metastasis and break through the bottleneck of improving the overall efficacy of treating malignant tumors. This paper reviews the methods of establishing in vitro and in vivo research models of DTCs with dormant characteristics to promote the understanding of dormant DTCs and improve the research and development efficiency of anti-tumor metastasis drugs.

RESUMO

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)has become one of the great risks for children′s development and health, while its pathogenesis and progression characteristics are still not clear. The establishment of NAFLD specific research model can help to explore and reveal the role of related pathways in the occurrence and development of NAFLD.The existing models for the study of NAFLD in children mainly include diet-induced animal models and in vitro hepatocyte culture models. In recent years, organoids cultured from stem cells have similar spatial tissues of corresponding organs and can reproduce some functions of corresponding organs, which can be used to simulate liver inflammation and fibrosis process. In this paper, we will introduce these models and methods, focus on the construction and application of organoids, and look forward to the application of models for children NAFLD in the future.

RESUMO

The incompatibility of Chinese materia medica (CMM) has always been one of the important scientific issues of CMM safety research. Extensive researches about CMM incompatibility have been carried out represented by "eighteen-antagonisms", mainly focused on the safety evaluation, toxic effects of substances, toxicology, toxicokinetics, drug interactions, toxicity mechanisms, etc. However, due to lack of system design on research ideas, model and methods, many key issues still lacked reliable conclusions, and did not reach a consensus within the industry. We completed the toxicity-effect characterization of the anti-drugs about "Pinelliae Rhizoma, Trichosanthis Fructus, Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus, Ampelopsis Radix, and Bletillae Rhizoma attack Aconiti Radix" and proposed that the serious adverse reactions caused by related anti-drug combination therapy were because of the "toxicity" of CMM incompatibility. The formation of CMM incompatibility was closely related to its composition, dose, compatibility environment, etc, wherein the disease and symptom are the key factors of incompatibility. Eventually, the research model of toxicity-effect characterization of CMM incompatibility based on the desease and symptom was formed, it was viable to provide new strategies and methods for the clinical drug safety of CMM compatibility.

RESUMO

As an important part of the market commodity circulation, the standard grade of Chinese traditional medicine commodity is very important to restrict the market order and guarantee the quality of the medicinal material. The State Council issuing the "protection and development of Chinese herbal medicine (2015-2020)" also make clear that the important task of improving the circulation of Chinese herbal medicine industry norms and the commodity specification standard of common traditional Chinese medicinal materials. However, as a large class of Chinese herbal medicines, the standard grade of the radix is more confused in the market circulation, and lack of a more reasonable study model in the development of the standard. Thus, this paper summarizes the research background, present situation and problems, and several key points of the commodity specification and grade standard in radix herbs. Then, the research model is introduced as an example of Pseudostellariae Radix, so as to provide technical support and reference for formulating commodity specifications and grades standard in other radix traditional Chinese medicinal materials.

RESUMO

Over the past 4 decades Chinese medicine (CM) has come increasingly into the spotlight in the United States as the clinical effectiveness of CM has been not only empirically well-tested over a long period of time but also proven by recent scientific research. It has proven cost effectiveness, safety, and is authorized for natural and holistic approaches. In consideration, CM is one of the underutilized health care professions in the United States with a promising future. However, CM faces many challenges in its education and system, its niche in the health care system as an independent profession, legal and ethical issues. This paper discusses the confronting issues in the United States: present education, standards of CM education with shifting first professional degree level, new delivery systems of CM education. Development of new research models, training of evidence-based practice, and implementation of integrative medicine into CM education also are the key issues in the current CM profession. This paper also discusses opportunities for the CM profession going beyond the current status, especially with a focus on fusion medicine.

RESUMO

The 3T road map proposed by Dougherty and Conway views translational research as a continuous process that moves from basic research through clinical (T1),postclinical (T2),and practice-based research and ultimately to health policies, outcomes, and impacts (T3).It can be used as a fundamental framework for evaluating and measuring translational research. The citation networks between publications may reveal translational interfaces, translational path, and translational lag in a specific research field, which can help researchers understand the critical content and road maps during their translational research, and thus accelerate translational medicine during T1,T2,and T3 phases of translational research.Based on the citation networks,we built a two-dimensional model for measuring the process of translational research.

RESUMO

In this paper, the author proposed the development direction and study task for processing subject. Its development direction were study of scientific research method and establishment of technological platform for processing-patterns for the scientific research and production combination (enterprise as the mainstay). And its main task will be located at the inheritance of the traditional Chinese medicine pharmaceutical technology, the protection of processing culture as the non-material heritage, and the development of processing as a modern subject.
