RESUMO

Leiomyoma is the commonest benign uterine condition arising from smooth muscles. Extra uterine leiomyoma is rare. The incidence of broad ligament fibroid is less than 1%. Because of its rarity broad ligament fibroid poses specific diagnostic difficulties causing an error in making the final diagnosis and therefore the management. Here we report a case of rare broad ligament fibroid got neglected sadly in this modern era, where the facilities like USG which can easily diagnose this rare entity are readily available. Presented as ANC with no labor pains and accidentally diagnosed as a case of huge broad ligament fibroid. Managed surgically by myomectomy with conservation of uterus and bilateral internal iliac artery ligation for minimizing bleeding.

RESUMO

Objective To lay the foundation for the successive research on diabetes mellitus (DM) management system and provide support for the general doctors at grass root level to make decisions by developing DM ontology database and DM diagnosis and treatment database for semantic inference, reuse of DM knowledge, revealing and sharing potential DM knowledge. Methods The DM ontology was established on the Stanford University Protégé Platform according to the 7-step method and skeletal method by extracting the concepts of DM ontology database and DM diagnosis and treatment database, and their relationship from domestic DM-related clinical guidelines and knowledge of DM experts. The SWRL diagnosis and treatment rules were then composed and the semantic inference was realized using the JESS inference engine. Results The developed DM ontology database and DM diagnosis and treatment database included 233 concepts, 205 examples, 16 relationships between examples, 18 data value properties, 28 SWRL rules, which could thus realize the semantic inference. Conclusion The developed DM ontology can realize semantic inference and is thus beneficial for the application of ontology technology in diagnosis and treatment of chronic disease.

RESUMO

The medical and health reform at grass-root level was monitored during the NPC and CPPCC from 2015-2017 . The public sentiment on medical and health reform at grass-root level in recent years was thus as-sessed according to the text mining and data analysis using the R language and Python method from the aspects ofnow rural cooperative medical care, comprehensive health reform at grass-root level, health service develop-ment at grass-root level and Internet + medical care in order to provide reference for the effective feedback of achievements and development in policies of medical and health reform at grass-root level.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to determine whether the push-out bond strengths between the radicular dentin and fiber reinforced-composite (FRC) posts with various resin cements decreased or not, according to the coronal, middle or apical level of the root. MATERIALS AND METHODS: FRC posts were cemented with one of five resin cement groups (RelyX Unicem: Uni, Contax with activator & LuxaCore-Dual: LuA, Contax & LuxaCore-Dual: Lu, Panavia F 2.0: PA, Super-Bond C&B: SB) into extracted human mandibular premolars. The roots were sliced into discs at the coronal, middle and apical levels. Push-out bond strength tests were performed with a universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 0.5 mm/min, and the failure aspect was analyzed. RESULTS: There were no significant differences (P>.05) in the bond strengths of the different resin cements at the coronal level, but there were significant differences in the bond strengths at the middle and apical levels (P.05); all other groups had a significant decrease in bond strength at the middle or apical level (P<.05). The failure aspect was dominantly cohesive at the coronal level of all resin cements (P<.05), whereas it was dominantly adhesive at the apical level. CONCLUSION: All resin cement groups showed decreases in bond strengths at the middle or apical level except LuA and Uni.
