RESUMO

Genus Kadsura Kaempf. ex Juss. includes important medicinal plants widely used in the south and southwest of China. The stems and roots are effective in activating blood and resolving stasis, promoting qi circulation to relieve pain, dispelling wind and eliminating dampness, in which lignans and triterpenoids are the major bioactive constituents. Here we summarized the chemical constituents isolated from genus Kadsura Kaempf. ex Juss., which would provide a primary and strategic platform for further exploiting the medicinal value and resources of genus Kadsura Kaempf. ex Juss. © 2014 Tianjin Press of Chinese Herbal Medicines.

RESUMO

AIM@#To study the dibenzocylooctadiene lignans from the stems of Kadsura heteroclita.@*METHOD@#Chromatographic separations of silica gel and semi-preparative HPLC were used. All of the structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis, including 2D-NMR and HR-MS techniques.@*RESULTS@#Four dibenzocylooctadiene lignans were isolated from K. heteroclita. Their structures were identified as heteroclitin R (1), heteroclitin S (2), gonisin O (3), and schisanlignone A (4).@*CONCLUSION@#Heteroclitin R (1) and heteroclitin S (2) are new natural lignans.

RESUMO

AIM@#To study the chemical constituents of the roots and stem bark of Kadsura coccinea.@*METHOD@#Compounds were isolated by column chromatography on silica gel and Sephadex LH-20, and finally purified by prep-HPLC. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods, including 1D- and 2D-NMR, and HR-ESI-MS.@*RESULTS@#Two compounds were determined as (7'S,8'S,8R)-(8β,8'α)-dimethyl-4,4'-dihydroxy-5,3'-dimethoxy-5'-cyclolignan glucoside (1) and micrandiactone H (2), respectively.@*CONCLUSION@#Compunds 1 and 2 are new and neither showed inhibitory effects on nitric oxide (NO) production in lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW264.7 macrophages.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the effect of schisandra chinensis fruit ethanol extract on nephrin and desmin ex-pression in adriamycin(ADR) induced podocyte injury in vitro. Methods Conditionally immortalized mouse podocytes were treated with ADR for 24 h in vitro, then the medium was changed to medium with SE(250 mg/L)for 24 h. Podocytes were di-vided into four groups:control group, model group, SE intervention group and SE group. The expression of nephrin in podo-cytes was detected by immunofluorescence. Western Blot was employed to assess nephrin and desmin expression. Transcrip-tion level of nephrin and desmin were determined by qRT-PCR. Results Nephrin expression was distributed along the cell membrane in linear or granular pattern in control group and SE group. Fluorescence intensity in model group was lower than that of control group SE group and SE intervention group. There was no significant difference of nephrin and desmin protein and mRNA level between control group and SE group. Compared with the model group, protein and mRNA level of nephrin was lower than that of control group and SE intervention group. The protein expression and mRNA transcription of desmin in model group was higher than those in control group and SE intervention group (P<0.05). Conclusion SE(250 mg/L)has no harmful effect on the podocytes in vitro. SE can protect the podocytes from damage by adriamycin in vitro. SE not only up-regulate the expression of nephrin, but also down-regulate of desmin expression.

RESUMO

Objective To approach the medicine-Schisandraceae-protective actions to the mice of experimental Kidney Yin deficiency from different angles. Method To observe the level of SOD and OFR in the female rats ovary tissue in order to prove the medicine’s curative effect. Result Schisandraceae can obviously increase the SOD and decrease the OFR to experimental Kidney Yin deficiency mice. Conclusion Schisandraceae has very obviously protective action to experimental Kidney Yin deficiency by influencing content of SOD and OFR of female mice ovary tissue.
