The education of the body in teachers' training in Normal School of the state of São Paulo (1890-1931) / A educação do corpo na formação de professores na escola normal paulista (1890-1931)

RESUMO: A Escola Normal Paulista foi lócus de promoção de inovações pedagógicas e de irradiação de saberes e práticas ao magistério primário. As práticas corporais de cultivo físico e estético, produtoras de uma educação do corpo, eram aquelas que os reformadores e os agentes da instrução pública tinham o interesse de difusão para ter um impacto sobre as Escolas Primárias, foco da regeneração social. Então, quais práticas que compuseram um sentido de educação do corpo estavam presentes na formação de normalistas (1890-1931)? Como resultado, centramos análises sobre a Ginástica e o Escotismo.

ABSTRACT: In the state of São Paulo, Brazil, the Normal School was responsible to spread pedagogic innovations and diffuse new knowledge and practices for primary school. We assume that physic and aesthetic corporal practices, producers of a body education and offered in Normal School, were those reformers and public institution officials who broadcast interest in having an impact grade schools, focusing on social regeneration. So, which practices composed a sense of this education of the body in teacher's training (1890-1931)? As a result, we focused the analyses on gymnastics and scouting.

Análise estatística no basquetebol de base: perfil do Campeonato Paranaense de Basquetebol masculino Sub-17 / Statistical analysis of base basketball: Under-17 Parana men Basketball Championship profile

Tem-se como objetivo geral, descrever como se dá a dinâmica de jogos de basquetebol de base. Especificamente, buscou-se entender quais os indicadores estatísticos significativos para a conquista da vitória no jogo e na competição de uma maneira geral e em jogos equilibrados, normais e desequilibrados; qual a influência do indicador "eficiência" individual e coletiva para o resultado final de jogo e competição; e qual a relação do momentum do jogo com os mesmos resultados. Como metodologia, utilizou-se a pesquisa descritiva quantitativa, tendo como instrumento, planilha de análise estatística construída especificamente para a pesquisa. O tratamento dos dados se deu através de estatística descritiva e inferencial. Resultados encontrados: arremessos de dois pontos tentados, arremessos de dois pontos convertidos, porcentagem de acerto de dois pontos, total de pontos feitos, porcentagem de acerto total, rebotes defensivos, rebotes totais e assistências foram considerados significativos para obtenção da vitória no jogo. Os mesmos indicadores, acrescidos de "lances livres tentados" foram coincidentes em jogos equilibrados, normais e desequilibrados. Arremessos de dois pontos tentados, arremessos de dois dois pontos convertidos, porcentual de acerto de dois pontos, porcentagem de acerto total e rebotes ofensivos foram significativos para obtenção de vitória na competição. Equipes que venceram o jogo e competição apresentaram eficiência coletiva superior às demais. Uma média de quatro jogadores por equipe apresentou eficiência individual superior à média de eficiência individual da equipe e da competição. O segundo e último quartos apresentaram-se mais relevantes para obtenção da vitória no jogo e na competição. Como conclusão, entende-se que a análise estatística é uma fonte importante de informações sobre um jogo de basquetebol, podendo oferecer subsídios relevantes a pesquisadores e comissões técnicas

It has as its general objective, describe how is the logic of dynamic from base basketball games. Specifically, it sought to understand which are the statistical indicators meaningful to claim victory in the game and competition in general and in balanced, normal and unbalanced games; which is the influence of the indicator "efficiency" individual and collective for the end result of game and competition; and which is the relationships between the momentum of the game with the same results. The methodology used the descriptive quantitative research, with a statistical analysis spreadsheet built specifically for research as an instrument. The data processing was through descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: 2 points attempts, 2 points converted, 2 points percentage, total points made, overall hit percentage, defensive rebounds, total rebounds and assists were considered significant for obtaining victory in the game. The same indicators, plus "free throws attempted" were coincident in balanced, normal and unbalanced games. 2 points attempts, 2 points converted, 2 points percentage, overall hit percentage and offensive rebounds were significant for achievement of victory in the competition. Teams that won the game and competition presented collective efficiency superior to others. An average of 4 players per team presented individual efficiency higher than the average of individual efficiency of the team and competition. The second and last quarters were even more relevant for obtaining the victory in the game and the competition. In conclusion, it is understood that the statistical analysis is a relevant source of information on a basketball game, and can provide relevant insights for researches and technical committees

Representações sobre corpo e educação da mulher na expansão do escotismo e do Bandeirantismo durante nas primeiras décadas do século XX / Representations on female body and education of women by expansion of scouting/guiding during the first decades of the twentieth century / Representaciones sobre el cuerpo y la educación de las mujeres en la expansión del movimiento scout/guidismo en las primeras décadas del siglo XX

O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar representações sobre corpo e educação feminina no interior da expansão do movimento escoteiro, que ocorreu nas primeiras décadas do século XX. Estudamos trabalhos de especialistas em história da educação, escritos de fundadores do movimento na Inglaterra e Estados Unidos e de artigos sobre o Bandeirantismo brasileiro. Concluímos que as atividades corporais e a educação do corpo praticadas no escotismo e no Bandeirantismo foram espaços de tensão entre a manutenção e a mudança dos papéis sociais atribuídos às meninas e aos meninos.

The objective of this paper is to analyze the representations on body, education and women within the expansion of Scout movement, which occurred in the early decades of the twentieth century. We studied the work of specialists in the history of education, writings of the founders of the movement in England and in the United States and published articles on Brazilian Guiding. We conclude that the bodily activities practiced within Scouting and Guiding were territories for debate between maintaining and changing social roles assigned to girls and boys.

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las representaciones del cuerpo y la educación de la mujer en el interior de la expansión del movimiento Scout, que se produjo en las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Se estudió el trabajo de especialistas en la historia de la educación, escritos de los fundadores del movimiento en Inglaterra y en Estados Unidos y los artículos sobre el brasileño Bandeirantismo. Llegamos a la conclusión de que la actividad física y la educación corporal practicada en escultismo y guidismo fueran espacios de tensión entre el mantenimiento y el cambio de los roles sociales asignados a niñas y niños.

Extramammary Paget Disease: Minimal Surgical Therapy

BACKGROUND: Extramammary Paget disease (EMPD) is an uncommon malignant neoplasm affecting apocrine gland-bearing skin which usually occurs in the anogenital area of patients older than 50 years. Although Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) is recommended for the treatment of EMPD, wide local excision has also been performed by many other surgeons including dermatosurgeons. However, the extent of an adequate resection margin is still under debate. OBJECTIVE: The efficacy of minimal surgical therapy consisting of a wide excision combined with preoperative multiple scouting biopsies and postoperative topical imiquimod was investigated for the treatment of EMPD in Korean patients. METHODS: Between 2006 and 2012, 10 patients with primary EMPD were treated with wide surgical excision, with a surgical margin of less than 2.5 cm. Multiple preoperative scouting biopsies and postoperative topical imiquimod were also performed to delineate the lesional boundaries and to reduce the recurrence rate. RESULTS: During the 6-year follow-up period, complications and recurrences were not observed. CONCLUSION: Minimal surgical therapy may be an effective alternative when MMS is unavailable.

Eficiência de métodos de amostragem de lagartas e de percevejos na cultura de soja / Efficiency of sampling methods for caterpillars and stink bugs in soybean

O objetivo deste trabalho foi comparar a capacidade de coleta de três métodos de amostragem de lagartas e de percevejos na cultura de soja. Para isso, em área de 6,16ha de soja, foi demarcado um gride de 154 pontos amostrais, espaçados de 20×20m. Em cada um desses 154 pontos, foram coletadas lagartas (pequenas, grandes e total) e percevejos (ninfas, adultos e total) (seis variáveis), por meio dos métodos de amostragem pano-de-batida, pano-de-batida largo e pano-de-batida vertical, em 14 estádios fenológicos da cultura de soja, totalizando 6.468 coletas. Para cada uma dessas seis variáveis, em cada um dos 14 estádios fenológicos e no geral (todos os estádios fenológicos), as médias dos três métodos de amostragem foram comparadas pelo teste t (bilateral) de Student para dados pareados, em nível de 5% de probabilidade. O número de lagartas coletadas por meio dos métodos de amostragem é decrescente na seguinte ordem: pano-de-batida vertical, pano-de-batida largo e pano-de-batida. O número de percevejos coletados por meio dos métodos de amostragem pano-de-batida vertical e pano-de-batida largo é superior ao pano-de-batida. O pano-de-batida vertical é o mais eficiente para a coleta de lagartas e de percevejos.

The aim of this study was to compare the collect capacity of three sampling methods for caterpillars and stink bugs in soybean. Therefore, in a 6.16ha soybean field, a grid of 154 sampling points spaced 20×20m was marked. In each of these 154 points were collected caterpillars (small, large and total) and stink bugs (nymphs, adults and total) (six variables) by the sampling methods beating cloth, wide beating cloth and vertical beat sheet, on 14 phenological stages of the soybean crop, totaling 6,468 samples. For each of these six variables, on each of the 14 phenological stages and overall (all phenological stages), the averages of the three sampling methods were compared by Student's t test (bilateral) for paired data, in a 5% probability level. The number of caterpillars collected by the sampling methods decreases in the following order: vertical beat sheet, wide beating cloth and beating cloth. The number of stink bugs collected by the sampling methods vertical beat sheet and wide beating cloth is higher than beating cloth. Vertical beat sheet is the most efficient to collect caterpillars and stink bugs.

Caracterização do processo de análise do jogo em clubes da 1ª liga portuguesa profissional de futebol na época 2005/2006 / Characterization of match analysis process in Portuguese first football league teams: season 2005/2006

O nível competitivo alcançado pelo futebol profissional tem exigido níveis de desempenho cada vez mais elevados. Uma das formas que tem sido utilizada para monitorá-la é a análise do jogo (AJ). O presente trabalho pretendeu caracterizar o processo de AJ na 1ª liga portuguesa profissional de futebol. Os objetivos do estudo foram conhecer: 1) a importância da AJ; 2) a frequência da sua realização; 3) os profissionais envolvidos; 4) os instrumentos e métodos utilizados; e 5) a importância atribuída pelos treinadores a diferentes eixos de análise. A amostra foi constituída por 16 treinadores da 1ª liga portuguesa de futebol profissional 2005/2006 (89 por cento do universo em estudo). A cada um deles foi aplicado um questionário previamente validado por oito especialistas. Os resultados obtidos revelaram que a AJ adquire a sua pertinência ao nível da planificação tático-estratégica. É comumente utilizado um instrumento com categorias predefinidas e os eixos de análise eleitos estão relacionados com a dimensão tático-estratégica do jogo. O treinador principal é o protagonista na análise do jogo da sua equipe, delegando a função de análise dos adversários num profissional da equipe técnica. Os sistemas de análise utilizados não são sofisticados e apenas uma minoria admite recorrer à informática. Os eixos de análise menos valorizados estão relacionados com a análise energético-funcional dos jogadores. Sintetizando, na referida liga o processo de AJ é sistematizado e foca preferencialmente a vertente táctico-estratégica dos jogos analisados. No entanto, apesar de serem utilizados instrumentos com categorias predefinidas, os sistemas de análise utilizados são pouco sofisticado.

Nowadays, the competitive level achieved by professional football has required performance levels to increase highly. Match analysis is one of the tools that has been used to control performance. The aim of this work was to characterise match analysis process of 1st portuguese football league teams. The goals of this study were those of knowing: 1) the importance of match analysis; 2) the frequency of its accomplishment; 3) the professionals involved; 4) the instruments and systems used; and 5) the importance given to different axes of analysis. The sample was set up of sixteen coaches from the 1st Portuguese professional football 2005/06 league (89 percent of the universe taken for study). To each coach it was applied a questionnaire previously ratified by eight specialists. The obtained results revealed that match analysis seems to acquire its pertinence in planning strategic and tactic dimensions. Agreeing with this idea, the elected dimensions of analysis are related with strategy and tactics. The less appreciated dimensions of analysis are related with time-motion analysis. It seems to be usual to use an instrument with predefined categories. The coach is the match analysis protagonist of his own team and confers the duty of scouting opponent teams to a member of the technical staff. The analysis systems used aren't sophisticated and only a minority admits to use computerised technologies. In summary, in the mentioned league the process of match analysis is sistematized and focuses mainly on tactical and strategic aspects of the game. However, despite being used instruments with predefined categories, the analysis systems used are unsophisticated.
