RESUMO

Three occupational safety and health (OSH) activities, one international and two national workshops, were documented as part of OSH activities conducted under the International Labor Organization/Korea Partnership Program in the year 2011-2012. This study aimed to provide information on what the three OSH activities were implemented and how they contributed to the improvement of OSH in Asian countries. The international workshop was useful for the participants to understand a variety of information on OSH as well as participatory action-oriented training (PAOT) approaches at the regional and global levels. The two national workshops were practical for participants to strengthen their knowledge and skills on the PAOT at the enterprise and national levels. The study shows that the three OSH activities contributed to the understanding of the participants on OSH and PAOT, and that the activities promoted the improvement of OSH across countries in Asia.

RESUMO

Primary cutaneous CD4 positive small/medium T cell lymphoma (PCSM-TCL) is a provisional entity in the new WHO-EORTC classification for cutaneous lymphoma, and it is a rare disease with a favorable clinical course. PCSM-TCL may present with different clinical and pathologic features associated with the biologic behavior of the disease. Herein we report on a 63-year-old woman with multiple, multifocal, erythematous to violaceous papules and plaques that progressed despite local radiotherapy.

RESUMO

Primary cutaneous CD4+ small/medium-sized pleomorphic T-cell lymphoma (CSMTCL) is a rare disease constituting 2% of all cutaneous T-cell lymphomas. In most cases, CSMTCL occurs as a solitary lesion and has an indolent course. Here we present a 42-year-old woman with multiple, localized, recurrent, erythematous papules and macules that developed after combination chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisolone (CHOP).

RESUMO

Objective To probe into the characteristics of men who have sex with men living in small-medium sized cities and provide scientific foundation for the formulation of strategy for AIDS prevention and control. Methods A qualitative survey was carried out by convenience sampling for thirty one selected MSM.Results Interviewees had a large age gap, widely different occupations and various degrees of education;they depended mainly on internet and friends' contacts to find their sex partners;their knowledge about HIV/STDs was poor and they were indifferent to the risk of AIDs,but were faced with enormous psychological pressure.Multiple sex partners, unprotected anal intercourse were their main high risk behaviors, and they hoped to have access to free condoms, free HIV detection and hot line consultation. Conclusion To implement prevention in an effective manner, close attention should be paid to the role of key persons within the MSM group,to increasing knowledge of the target population,to protecting their mental health and to creating a friendly social environment for their existence and effective use of internet.

RESUMO

Cutaneous T cell lymphoma, pleomorphic, small/medium-sized is a primary cutaneous lymphoma that consists of less than 30% of large, pleomorphic T cells and mostly small/medium-sized, plemorphic T cells stained negatively CD30. This entity presents clinically with one or several red-purple nodules without patches & plaques and histopathologically infiltration of small/medium-sized T cells with a dense nodular or diffuse pattern in the dermis. Usually cellular infiltrations consist of atypical lymphocytes without eosinophils, plasma cells and neutrophils but there are cases infiltrated with atypical lymphocytes and eosinophils. We report a case of cutaneous T cell lymphoma, pleomorphic, small/medium-sized in a 55-year-old male who was presented with hard nodules on both elbows, both ankles, left 1st interdigital web, both wrists and both lateral sides of thigh. Histopathological findings showed diffuse and nodular infiltrates with atypical lymphocytes and eosinophils in the dermis, not involving the epidermis. Bone scan, bone marrow biopsy and CT scan taken to find out involvement of other organs showed normal finding except for eosinophilia at bone marrow biopsy.
