RESUMO
Considerando el desafío de avanzar en la integración social de personas con discapacidad, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo establecer la relación entre la orientación a la dominancia social (ODS) y la actitud hacia personas con discapacidad (APD) en estudiantes de educación superior. La muestra se compone por 125 estudiantes, seleccionados a través un muestreo aleatorio simple a quienes se les aplicó las escalas SDO (versión adaptada a Chile), y de Actitud frente a las personas en situación de discapacidad, y así buscar una posible relación entre las variables. Los resultados demuestran que existe una correlación negativa y significativa entre las variables estudiadas.
Considering the challenge of advancing the social integration of people with disabilities. The present research aims to establish the relationship between Social Dominance Orientation (SDO) and Attitudes towards people in a situation of disability (APD) in higher education students. The sample is composed by 125 higher education students, selected through a simple random sampling those that were applied the scales SDO (versión adapted to Chile) and Attitudes towards people in a situation of disability and this way to look for a possible relation between the variables. The results show that there is a negative and significant correlation between the variables studied.
RESUMO
O texto se inicia com a ideia de que o espaço urbano não é um dado da natureza, mas um produto do trabalho humano. Propõe então uma nova maneira de abordar a segregação urbana, utilizando para isso o caso da cidade de São Paulo. Mostra, entretanto, que essa nova abordagem vale também não só para a Região Metropolitana de São Paulo, como também para todas as demais Regiões Metropolitanas do Brasil. Esclarece os avanços por ela possibilitados, a saber: tanto o relacionamento da segregação com a estrutura espacial urbana como um todo, como seu relacionamento com todos os componentes da totalidade social. Nesse sentido, faz uma análise da segregação espacial dos empregos da população na cidade de São Paulo, mostrando a relação entre a segregação residencial e a segregação dos locais de emprego, bem como a relação dessas segregações com a desigualdade e a dominação sociais. Finalmente, mostra a relação entre a produção social do espaço e a produção social do tempo, mediante análise da relação entre o espaço urbano e o tempo gasto pelos moradores das metrópoles em seus deslocamentos nesse espaço.
The paper starts with the idea that urban space is not a product of nature but of men´s labour. It proceeds presenting a new way of focusing and analyzing urban segregation, using the city of São Paulo as a case study. Through several social indicators, presented in 8 illustrations, it shows urban segregation in São Paulo. It shows however that this new way also applies to any Brazilian metropolitan area. Important aspects shown by this new way are: on the one hand, the possibility it offers of analyzing the relationship between urban segregation of residences, working places and the overall urban spatial structure; on the other hand, the possibility of analyzing the relationship between urban segregation and the social inequality which prevails in Brazilian society as well as with social domination. It finally shows the relationship between human production of urban space and human production of time and the importance of the former.
