RESUMO

@#In order to guarantee the quality of traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs), the crystallization transformation of complex extracts of TCMs and the influence of solid form on their physicochemical properties were studied. The extract of total flavonoids from Pueraria lobata was taken as a model.Crystallization transformation happened when lofting under different conditions, and the intrinsic dissolution tests were carried out.It was found that humidity was the key factor to induce crystallization of total flavonoids from Pueraria lobata. The greater the wettability was, the more the crystallization was.The dissolution rate of total flavonoids from Pueraria lobata with the most crystallization amount significantly decreased by 96.51% compared to the sample without crystallization. After further simulating the preparation process of total flavonoids from Pueraria lobata, it was found that the wet granulation process with introduced water would also lead to crystallization and reduced dissolution rate.As for all crystallization samples, there was an inversely proportional relationship between the dissolution rates and the amount of crystallization. The risk of crystallization existed both in the storage and preparation process of TCM extracts.Crystallization would significantly affect the dissolution rate, and thus the quality of TCM products. In this study, the crystallization transformation of amorphous complex TCM extracts was discovered, and the effect of the crystallization transformation on its dissolution behavior was systematically studied, which provides a new research idea for assuring the quality of TCM products and promoting the improvement of TCM preparation level.

RESUMO

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental disorder characterized by restitution of trauma and emotional irritability and avoidance caused by sudden, threatening or catastrophic life events. PTSD occurs not only abnormal behavioral indicators but also abnormal neurobiological indicators. Studies on the pathogenesis of PTSD have focused on neuroendocrine system, central nervous system and immune system, mainly finding abnormal levels of stress hormones, pro-inflammatory cytokines, neurotransmitters and neuroprotective factors. Traditional Chinese medicines(TCM) have many advantages in the treatment of PTSD due to their multi-target, multi-component and multi-pathway characteristics. Current studies have showed that a variety of TCM can improve the abnormal behaviors of animals in the models of post-traumatic stress disorder and reverse the neurobiological indicators. As many of these TCM compounds have been used in clinic and have good efficacy, TCM treatment of PTSD has a broad application prospect. However, there is no specific medicine for PTSD, and its mechanisms have not been fully understood. Therefore, this paper reviews the current studies on the treatment of PTSD with TCM, and focuses on the occurrence and treatment progress of PTSD in terms of TCM, mechanisms of action and animal models, so as to provide references for the treatment of PTSD.

RESUMO

Objective To prevent and treat of ceramic membrane purification of membrane fouling process of TCM extracts; To explore new methods of forecasting membrane fouling degree. Methods BP neural network model was improved. Methods to fast determine the optimal number of neurons in the hidden layer and fast algorithm for optimizing the weight and threshold of BP neural network were studied. Data of 207 groups of TCM extracts were under network training and prediction.ResultsCompared with the models of multiple regression analysis, basic BP neural network and RBF neural network, the error of the improved BP neural network model was less than that of the BP neural network model, and the mean square error was only 0.0057. In addition, the improved BP neural network model performance was more stable. In the 20 random running experiments, the goal of the success rate achieved up to 95%.Conclusion The improved model has a good network performance, the fitting effect and prediction ability, and can forecast the fouling degree of membrane stably and accurately.

RESUMO

This study was aimed to screen antibacterial agents against 9 pathogenic bacteria from 240 extracts of 60 traditional Chinese medicinals ( TCM ) . And the minimum inhibitory concentration ( MIC ) test was applied on extracts with positive results. The disk diffusion was employed to screen the antibacterial activity preliminar-ily among 240 extracts. The MICs of active extracts were tested by liquid culture method (double dilution method). The results revealed that 104 extracts show antibacterial activity on one or more strains, 20 of them show strong inhibition on three commonly seen bacteria ( MIC < 0 . 2 mg/mL ) . It was concluded that ethanol , acetone and hexane extracts of 11 TCMs including Salvia miltiorrhiza, Cnidium monnieri, Polygonum tinctorium, Taraxacum mongolicum, Morus alba, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Curcuma longa, Arnebia euchroma, Lobelia chinen-sis , Chrysanthemum indicum and Buddleja officinalis show strong inhibition on Bacillus subtilis , Bacillus cereus , Staphylococcus aureus .
