RESUMO

Objective:To establish the fingerprints of Plantaginis Herba.Methods:The fingerprints were determined by UPLC. The peak areas of fingerprints of different parts and origins were analyzed by variance analysis and independent sample t-test. PCA, HCA, PLS-DA and other chemical patterns were analyzed by Simca14.1. The index weight was calculated by CRITIC, and the quality of plantain evaluation was combined with grey correlation degree.Results:The fingerprints of grass, stem, leaf and spike of Plantago depressa Willd. calibrated for 24, 16, 23 and 22 common peaks. The fingerprints of grass, stem, leaf and spike of Plantaginis Herba calibrated for 22, 10, 16 and 22 common peaks, and the fingerprints of commercial mixed plantain calibrated for 23 common peaks. 10 peaks were identified. The analysis of variance showed that there were differences in chromatographic peak areas between different parts of Plantago asiatica L. and Plantago depressa Willd.. And combinedede with PLS-DA, it showed that there were 16 important characteristic indexes in the classification, and the importance ranking was peak 3, 8, 28, 12, 14, 7, 5, 17, 6, 19, 23, 11, 22, 27, 9, 16. The quality evaluation results of critical method combined with grey correlation degree showed that among Plantago depressa Willd., Plantago asiatica L. and commercial mixed plantain herbs, the quality of Plantago asiatica L. was the best. Conclusion:The mixture of plantain exists in the market. The fingerprints established in this study can be used for the identification and quality evaluation of Plantaginis Herba from different sources.

Objective:To distinguish the differences between Olibanum and Myrrha by using modern analytical methods such as Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) and Fourier Transform InfraRed (FT-IR). Methods:By collecting Olibanum and Myrrha in different growing areas and different processed prosecures, this paper to analizes the influence of temperature increase and its speed , as well as the particle size on the DSC experiment. The DSC method was used to perform a differential thermal map of Olibanum and Myrrha scanning and analysis; FT-IR was used to scan and analyze 20 batches of Olibanum and Myrrha. Results:TThe results of DSC analysis showed that the DSC experimental condition ranged between 30-600 ℃; the speed of temperature increase was 30 ℃/min; the particle size was 100 mesh. The DSC spectra of of Olibanum and Myrrha were significantly different. Only the processed products of frankincense had endothermic peak near 297 ℃, and there was no characteristic peak in this temperature range. Their exothermic peaks are close at 326 ℃, but their enthalpy values are quite different. The position of endothermic peak near 100 ℃ is close to the size of peak shape. FT-IR test showed that the absorption peaks of Olibanum and Myrrha at wave numbers 2 925, 1 710, 1 454, 1 371, 1 242, 1 029 cm -1 appeared, and the positions of strong peaks were also similar. The intensity of the characteristic peak of Myrrha wave number 1 029 cm -1 is greater than that of Olibanum. Conclusion:The DSC spectra of Olibanum and Myrrha are significantly different, and the difference between the two FT-IR spectra is small. Differential scanning Calorimetry is an effective, fast, and simple way to identify resinous Chinese medicinal materials, and is worthy of further popularization.

Objective To explore the characteristics, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of liver injury caused by the deficiency of dioscorea bulbifera L.. Methods The general data, clinical manifestation and laboratory examination of 45 cases of liver injury diagnosed as Yoshimoto associated liver injury from November 2014 to June 2017 were classified and reviewed with the standards of drug liver injury classification recommended by the Council of international medical organizations. Results The number of male patients was 26, and female 19. The medication time ranged from 1 week to 2 years and the main biochemical performance was abnormal, namely ALT, AST, TBil, DBil, ALP and GGT. Of the 45 cases, the average values of ALT, AST were 608.11 ± 411.30 U/L and 505.38 ± 342.15 U/L. The TBil of 42 case rised with the mean value 170.10 ± 136.86 μmol/L, and the ALP of 22 cases with 182.38 ± 55.15 U/L. The GGT of 43 cases rised with the mean 223.12 ± 131.85 U/L. Clinical classification included 38 cases were liver cell injury, none was cholestasis, 5 mixed types and 2 cases of liver biochemical examination abnormality. One patient died while the other patients recovered. Conclusions Although the pathogenesis of the liver cell induced injury type with dioscorea bulbifera L. remains unclear, the reasonable and appropriate use of medication and regular liver biochemical tests is necessary.

Objective To explore a quick and simple method to identify ginseng medicinal materials. Methods Twenty types of ginseng medicinal materials were collected. The effects of two important factors:temperature and heating rate on differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) were investigated. The DSC features were used to quickly identify Radix et Rhizoma Notoginseng, Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng, Radix Panacis Quinquefolii and Panna ginseng C.A.Mey. Results The optimal experimental conditions for rapid identification of Radix et Rhizoma Notoginseng, Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng, Radix Panacis Quinquefolii and Panna ginseng C.A.Mey by DSC were determined: temperature range 30-400 ℃, heating rate 30 ℃/min. Under these conditions, the characteristic peak temperature and thermal enthalpy value can be used to distinguish four kinds of ginseng. Conclusions The experiment shows that the DSC method has the advantages of simple operation, rapid measurement, good reproducibility, easy analysis of the spectrum and less sample consumption. It is a new method for quickly identifying Chinese medicinal materials of ginseng genus.

Objective The adverse drug reaction (ADR) reports of compound Kushen injection in Qingdao Central Hospital were analyzed to improve the level of safe and rational use of drugs.Methods We investigated 35 cases of severe ADR reports induced by compound Kushen injection in Qingdao Central Hospital from 2016.09 to 2018.03 retrospectively.Then the type of report,relevance evaluation and prognosis,ADR occurrence and recovered time,involved system/organs and main clinical manifestations were analyzed.Results The new moderate and new severe ADR incident were 51.4% of 35 ADR reports.Twenty-nine cases of the ADR were occurred 30 minutes after injection.Twenty-three cases of ADR clinical symptoms can be recovered after 30 minutes.The main ADR was the digestive system reaction,followed by the neural system,respiratory system and cardiovascular system.Conclusions It is important to pay attention to the occurrence of compound Kushen injection ADR and strengthen its monitoring.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of therapy of tonifying kidney,activating bone-marrow, and unblocking collaterals for patients with chronic aplastic anemia (CAA), and to investigate its effect on thromboelastogram platelet maximum amplitude (Ma) value for exlporing its therapeutic mechanism. Methods Sixty CAA patients were randomized into trial group and control group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was given oral use of Stanozolol and Cyclosporin A, and the trial group was orally given the recipe with the actions of tonifying kidney,activating bone-marrow,and unblocking collaterals,which is mainly composed of Radix Rehmanniae,Radix Rehmanniae Preparata,Caulis Spatholobi,Semen Cuscutae,Fructus Lycii,Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Fructus Ligustri Lucidi, Herba Ecliptae, Pheretima, and Semen Strychni Preparata. The clinical efficacy was evaluated after treatment,and peripheral hemogram and thromboelastogram Ma value of the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results (1)The trial group had better western medicine therapeutic effect and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)syndrome therapeutic effect than the control group, the difference being signficant (P < 0.01).(2) After treatment, TCM syndrome scores, parameters of blood routine test,thromboelastogram Ma value of the two groups were improved compared with those before treatment (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01),and the improvement in the trial group was superior to that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Therapy of tonifying kidney, activating bone-marrow, and unblocking collaterals is effective on improving blood coagulation function by increasing the quality and amount of platelet.

Objective To improve the quality standard ofKangjing pills.Methods The qualities of Angelica sinensis, Taxillus sutchuenensis, Radix paeoniae Alba, Eucommia ulmoides and Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort in the pills were identified by microscopic examination; the natures of Radix rehmanniae Praeparata, Radix paeoniae Rubra, Radix paeoniae Alba,Angelica sinensis and Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort were detected by thin layer chromatography (TLC); the content of Paeoniflorin were measured by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The operating conditions by HPLC were InertSustain C18 (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5μm ), the mixture of acetonitrile-0.2% Phosphoric acid water (15:85) as mobile phase, 1.0 ml/min as flow speed and wavelength 316 nm.Results The results observed by microscopy were obvious; The results showed that the TLC spots of Radix rehmanniae Praeparata, Radix paeoniae Rubra, Radix paeoniae Alba, Angelica sinensis and Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort were fairly clear, and the according blank test showed no interference. Ferulic Acid showed a good linear relationship within the range of 0.067-0.168μg (r=0.9997) with an average recovery of 99.84% (RSD=1.22%). Conclusions Microscopy, TLC and HPLC are handy, safe and accurate forKangjing pills to determine the quality.

Objective To observe the effects of traditional Chinese medicine aqueous extract on acne vulgaris models of rabbit's ear.We observed the medical effects of traditional Chinese medicine aqueous on rabbit's ear acne vulgaris models.Methods 7 twelve-week's old male rabbits were selected to establish acne vulgaris models by Kligman method.Coal tar was daubed at the opening of rabbits' ears tubes about 2 cm × 2 cm areas by the frequency of once a day for two weeks.Then 50 μl bacterial suspension of the propionibacterium acnes was subcutaneously injected into each ear of rabbit at the seventh day which concentration of propionibacterium acnes was 1.0)× 108 CFU/ml.14 ears of rabbits were divided into 7 groups randomly after the molds were finished,two ears per group.6 group ears of rabbits were daubed with TCM aqueous extract respectively,while the last group was daubed with physiological saline on one ear and fusidic acid cream on the other one,once a day.At last,the treatment effects and adverse reactions were observed respectively on the 7th day,15th day and 21st day.Results The sWollen rabbits' ears were reclined and even disappeared in groups with six kinds of TCM aqueous extract after 7 days;the local hair follicles corneous plugs became flattened,pimples and comedos reduced in groups with aqueous extract of Cortex phellodendri,Scutellaria baicalensis and Rhubarb.Conclusions Aqueous extracts of Cortex phellodendri,Scutellaria baicalensis,Rhubarb,Sophora flavescens,Honeysuckle and Forsythia have therapeutical effects on rabbifs ear acne vulgaris models.

Objective To study the influence of Qingzao Runfei Huazhuo Xingxue decoction on pulmonary tissue and lung function in mouse model of lung injury induced by PM2.5, and to provide an idea of clinical prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases induced by PM2.5. Methods Totally 30 clean level male ICR mice were randomly divided into three groups: normal control group, model group and Qingzao Runfei Huazhuo Xingxue decoction intervention group, with 10 mice in each group. Model of PM2.5-induced respiratory disease in mice was reproduced by instilling nasal cavity drip PM2.5 suspension 40 mg/kg once a day for 6 weeks. In the treatment group, the mice were fed with the Qingzao Runfei Huazhuo Xingxue decoction twice a day from the 4th week of instilling PM2.5 suspension until the end of experiment. In the normal control group, the mice were fed as usual. At the end of the experiment, the total protein content in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), and lung wet/dry weight (W/D) ratio was determined. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was used to observe the histopathological changes in lung tissue under light microscope. The inflammatory mediators levels in lung tissue were determined by antibody-sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results Respiratory system damage model was successfully reproduced by dripping of PM2.5 suspension in nasal cavity. Compared with normal control group, inflammatory changes and inflammatory cell infiltration in model group were significant, and lung W/D ratio (4.71±0.33 vs. 3.13±0.12), total protein content in BALF (mg/L: 363.98±18.24 vs. 82.13±12.78), tumor necrosis factor-α [TNF-α (ng/L): 185.72±0.23 vs. 31.03±0.16], interleukin-8 [IL-8 (ng/L): 531.85±37.83 vs. 72.64±16.72], and leukotriene B4 [LTB4 (ng/L): 931.74±48.64 vs. 483.81±41.74] in lung tissue were significantly increased (all P < 0.05). Compared with the model group, the inflammatory changes of lung tissue in Qingzao Runfei Huazhuo Xingxue decoction intervention group were significantly reduced, lung W/D ratio (3.92±0.41 vs. 4.71±0.33), total protein content in BALF (mg/L: 213.21±19.62 vs. 363.98±18.24), TNF-α (ng/L: 124.15±0.27 vs. 185.72±0.23), IL-8 (ng/L: 238.42±35.82 vs. 531.85±37.83) and LTB4 (ng/L: 582.85±31.00 vs. 931.74±48.64) levels in lung tissue in Qingzao Runfei Huazhuo Xingxue decoction intervention group were significantly decreased (all P < 0.05). Conclusion Qingzao Runfei Huazhuo Xingxue decoction can improve PM2.5-induced damage and pathological inflammatory changes in lung tissue, which provided some new ideas for the treatment of PM2.5-induced respiratory diseases.

Objective To evaluate the safety of compound Qinghuang powder for myelodysplastic syndromes(MDS). Methods A total of108 patients with MDSwere collected, 60 patients were treated with Qinghuang powder(Qinghuang powder group)and 48 with compound Qinghuang powder(compound Qinghuang group). The treatment time of 3 months was as one course, and all the patients were treated for more than one course. The patients who developed adverse reactions in the Qinghuang powder group changed to receive compound Qinghuang powder. The adverse reactions were recorded during the treatment. Results The overall incidence of adverse reactions in the compound Qinghuang powder group was significantly lower than that in the Qinghuang powder group(18.75% vs. 41.7%; χ2=6.492, P<0.05). None in the compound Qinghuang powder group and 3 patients in the compound Qinghuang powder group developed moderate to severe adverse reactions. The incidences of various adverse reactions in the compound Qinghuang powder group were lower than those in the Qinghuang powder group, especially, lower limb swelling (4.17%vs. 25%;χ2=9.205, P<0.05) epigastric discomfort(18.75% vs. 41.67%; χ2=6.492, P<0.05). Twenty patients who developed adverse reactions in the Qinghuang powder group changed to receive compound Qinghuang powder. Among them, 5 patients (25%) maintained adverse reactions. The various adverse reactions after changing to compound Qinghuang powder were decreased, especially, facial swelling (10% vs. 30%; χ2=2.50, P<0.05), leg swelling (5%vs. 45%;χ2=8.533, P<0.05), and abdominal pain and diarrhea(10%vs. 30%;χ2=2.50, P<0.05). No patient developed liver or kidney dysfunction after the treatment with Qinghuang powder or Compound Qinghuang powder. Conclusion Compound Qinghuang powder is safer than Qinghuang powder in the treatment of MDS.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Qijialifei capsule,a kind of Chinese traditional medicine,as adjuvant chemotherapy for retreatment patients with smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis.Methods One hundred and sixty retreatment cases with smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis were divided into observation group (80 cases) and control group (80 cases).All patients received the therapy of 3SHRZE/6HRE.The patients in observation group took Qijialifei capsule.Then comparisons were made between two groups in the sputum tubercle bacillus conversion rate,focus improvement rate,cavity closing rate,the cellular immune function,and clinical symptom improvement.Results In 160 cases,77 cases in observation group and 78 cases in control group completed the treatment.At the end of intensified therapy period and at the end of the whole therapy the sputum tubercle bacillus conversion rate [79.2% (61/77),92.2% (71/77)] in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group [64.1% (50/78),78.2% (61/78)](P < 0.05).The focus improvement rate,cavity closing rate in observation group [74.0%(57/77),26.0%(20/77)] were significantly higher than those in control group [52.6% (41/78),11.5% (9/78)] (P < 0.05).At the end of intensified therapy period,the focus improvement rate,cavity closing rate in observation group [92.2% (71/77),54.5% (42/77)] were significandy higher than those in control group [76.9% (60/78),29.5% (23/78)] (P < 0.05).By the end of the whole therapy,the number of CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ of patients in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P < 0.05).The disappearance of clinical symptoms in observation group was shorter than that in control group(P < 0.05).The rate of side effects on Qijialifei capsule was only 1.3%(1/77).Conclusions Qijialifei capsule can improve the cellular immune function of the patients,can effectively alleviate the symptoms and can improve the sputum tubercle bacillus conversion rate,radiographic focus improvement rate and cavity closing rate.It is safe.

@#Objective To observe the effect of traditional Chinese drug combined with training of musculus quadriceps fexoris on knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods70 out-patient clinic KOA patients were divided randomly into the Chinese drug group and control group with 35 cases in each group.The Chinese drug group was treated with Shentongzhuyu medicinal broth PO bid;the control group was treated with Sulindac 0.2 g PO bid.Two groups were combined with the training of musculus quadriceps fexoris,having 10 times per course and 3 courses in total with a 3 days interval between two courses.The therapeutic effect was evaluated with footplate pressure gait analysis and modified JOA marks.ResultsAfter treatment,the effect of the Chinese drug group was superior to the control group(P<0.05),especially 12 weeks post treatment.There maximum weight loading,time integral and weight loading intergral of affected limb of the Chinese drug group significantly improved after treatment(P<0.01),but for the control group,only weight loading intergral improved(P<0.05).ConclusionTraditional Chinese drug combined with training of musculus quadriceps fexoris has better curative effect on the pain and functional disturbance of KOA.

OBJECTIVE:To improve hydroscopicity and fluidity of traditional Chinese drug extractum by spray drying and to improve affixes to the wall of the drier during drying for providing reasonable relative humidity of production.METHODS:The compounding of adjuvant and the technology were optimized by orthogonal experiment,and the hydroscopicity and fluidity of powdered extract were investigated.RESULTS:The hydroscopicity of traditional Chinese drug extractum can be greatly decreased by adding 3% gum arabic and 7% ?-CD.The optimum technological conditions were as follows:extractum density of 1.10g? mL-1,temperature of intake airflow of 170℃,atomization pressure of 0.5Mpa,and feed material speed of 400mL? h-1 by orthogonal experiment.The critical relative humidity of the optimum formula was 64%.CONCLUTION:The problems of time consuming and moisture absorption of traditional Chinese drug extractum existed in the traditional old technology can be improved in this new technology.

Objective To observe the effect of compound traditional Chinese drug on nerve conduction velocity and electromyography in diabetes mellitus patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Method Fifty-seven patients were randomly divided into tow groups.The control group(27 patients)were treated with Vitamin B,and the test group (30 patients)were treated with compound traditional Chinese drug.The never conduction vielocity and electromyography were measured before and after the treatment.Results In the test group,the nerve conductive vielocity was increased and the spontaneous electric potential of electromyography was decreased;whereas,no obvious changes were found in the control group after treatment,and there was significant difference between the two groups(P

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the inhibitory actions of 3 traditional Chinese drugs on human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells CNE-2 in vitro.METHODS:The IC50(50% inhibiting concentration)of 3 traditional Chinese drugs on human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells CNE-2 in vitro was measured by MTT assay.RESULTS:The inhibitory actions of 3 traditional Chinese drugs on human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells CNE-2 in vitro were enhanced with the increase of the concentration in a concentration-dependent manner,with formulation Ⅲ showing the most potent inhibitory action on CNE-2 cells in vitro.CONCLUSION:The heat-clearing and detoxicating traditional Chinese drugs could markedly inhibit the proliferation of CNE-2 cells.

RESUMO

Acupmoxi therapy, retention-enema and oral administration of herbal medicine were combined to treat 86 patients with chronic ulcerative colonitis. A comparison between pretreatment and posttreatment was made by fibercolonoscopy. The results showed that the short-term cure occurred in 36 cases, effectiveness in 46cases and ineffectiveness in 4 cases, the total effective rate being 95.3%.

RESUMO

[Objective] To provide a basis for the identification of six species of Calicarpa. [Methods] Histological and microhistological features were studied. [Results] Obvious distinctive features of color and types of villi on the back of the leaf were found. [Conclusion] The method can be used to distinguish the features of the six species of Calicarpa.
