RESUMO

Objective:To evaluate the current situation of interventional treatment for children with tic disorder and family needs for interventions and to analyze the factors influencing intervention needs. Methods:This cross-sectional study encompassed 362 children and their families who sought medical attention at Children′s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, from October 2022 to January 2023.Factors influencing their intervention needs were analyzed. Results:A total of 362 children were surveyed. The main therapies of family concern included medication and behavioral intervention.Currently, the predominant therapy employed in the care of these children was medication (102/126, 80.9%), not with standing the fact that 77.8% of parents expressed discontent with its efficacy.Of the children and families included in the survey, 276 (76.2%) gave responses delineating their specific intervention needs. The paramount among these was the need for social support, with the score of (2.69±0.96) points.Multiple linear regression analysis revealed the notable influence of the duration of the ailment, the presence of comorbidities, the gravity of the disorder, the monthly household income, parental anxiety levels, and concerns germane to the therapeutic regimen on the family needs for interventions (all P<0.05). Conclusions:The extant therapeutic approaches applied in tic disorder exhibit a discernable constraint in terms of efficacy.Parents evince a pronounced yearning for interventions. These needs are contingent upon a spectrum of determinants.Clinicians are advised to consider the family needs for interventions when formulating therapeutic strategies, so that they can propound bespoke intervention plans to ameliorate therapeutic outcomes.

RESUMO

Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is a chronic progressive interstitial lung disease. The pathogenesis of PF is not yet clear. The two anti fibrosis drugs approved for IPF treatment, nidanib and pirfenidone, have been proved to reduce the decline of pulmonary function of pF, but both have side effects. So far, there is no obvious and effective treatment to prevent the progress of pF. Therefore, this review focuses on the different cells, molecular mechanisms involved in PF and the current treatment progress of PF, so as to provide theoretical support for a better understanding of these cells, molecular mechanisms and drug development and application in PF.

RESUMO

Tumor immunotherapy has changed mode for tumor treatment and has gradually developed into the fourth tumor treatment option after surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. However, the response rate of immunotherapy is limited. Identification of accurate tumor immunotherapy biomarkers as targets or detection and evaluation indicators would be helpful to improve the response rate. Explorations of more effective delivery of immunotherapy would benefit more patients. Prevention and response to immune-related adverse reactions are also necessary. With the development of research, immunotherapy will bring more hope to cancer patients.

RESUMO

Objective:To determine the frequency of anti-HCV antibody positivity in patients with non-liver disease complaints, to explore whether anti-HCV positive patients had been properly advised and visited hepatologists for further assessments, and to investigate their clinical characteristics as well as the HCV treatment status. Methods:A hospital based survey of non-liver disease patients with anti-HCV positive and their attending physicians was conducted to determine: 1. were the patients adequately advised of the implication of anti-HCV positive finding; 2. to what extent the patients were aware of potential chronic liver disease associated with HCV infection and whether they sought for further assessments and care of hepatologists. Results:A total of 295 294 non-liver disease patients were tested for anti-HCV antibody, and 2 778 of them were found to be positive (0.94%). However, only 45.10% (1 253/2 778) of the anti-HCV antibody (+) patients were referred to hepatologists and received HCV RNA test. In addition, 34.10% (312/915) and 1.42% (13/915) of them had already advanced to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), respectively. Further analysis showed that the patients who declined antiviral therapy were older, with lower education and lower income, possessed poorer knowledge on the risk of chronic hepatitis C, and had more severe liver diseases. Surprisingly, 65% of the surveyed physicians did not know the genotype-guided treatment duration suggested by the guidelines. Alarmingly, 22% of the surveyed physicians did not know the standard assays for the diagnosis of HCV infection. Conclusions:Our findings highlight the challenge and hidden enormous burden of chronic HCV infection among patients with non-liver disease complaints in China.

RESUMO

Through consulting related literatures on modern medicine pathogenesis and treatment status of chronic pain, new clinical treatment methods were revealed and summarized.Literatures on modern medicine pathogenesis and treatment of chronic pain were retrieved from the CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP,and Pubmed database from January 2000 to December 2016.Literatures with big influence, strong representation and new treatment method were screened. All methods were classified to summarize the pathogenesis and clinical application situation. This paper discussed the pathogenesis of peripheral sensitization, central sensitization, psychological mechanism and clinical medication.Through nearly 15 years of literature analysis, the pathogenesis of modern medicine and treatment status of chronic pain were summarized.

RESUMO

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: In spite of increasing dental treatment for the disabled, there was no collected data on prosthodontic treatment status and dentists' perceptions in Korea. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to research the dentists' perceptions about current prosthodontic treatment status for the disabled in Korea and to suggest public health policies for the disabled. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Total of 68 dentists who have regularly treated the disabled were asked to fill questionnaires regarding prosthodontic treatment for the disabled. RESULTS: 1. 45.6% of dentists felt the necessity of an esthetic prosthesis for the disabled. However, 54.3% of dentists reported the improvement of access to implant, orthodontic and esthetic treatment is needed. 2. Most (79.4%) of the dentists thought it is imperative for the government to support the disabled to maintain adequate oral health by providing at least 50% of charge in their prosthesis. CONCLUSION: Through this research, 97.1% of dentists answered that the current prosthodontic treatment status for the disabled in Korea is poor. This indicated the necessity of the financial support from the government for the disabled.
