RESUMO

Objective@#To explore the sonographic features of primary testicular lymphoma(PLT).@*Methods@#The sonographic features of 16 PLT patients confirmed by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed.@*Results@#Sixteen PLT patients were typed into 3 ultrasonic patterns: ①The diffuse homogeneous echo type: 2 cases, the ultrasonic features were homogeneous sieve-like hypoechoic echo, the blood flow signal was rich and radially distributed, with interstisial fibrosis inapparently under-microscope. ②The diffuse uneven homogeneous echo type: 9 cases, the ultrasonic features lobulated or map-like heterogeneous hypoechoic features, the blood flow signal was rich in linear distribution, and interstisial fibrosis proliferated to form fibrous septa under-microscope. ③The focal nodular pattern echo type: 5 cases, the ultrasonic features were homogeneous hypoechoic nodules, the blood flow signal was few, interstisial fibrosis hyperplasia surrounding the tumor under-microscope.@*Conclusions@#Ultrasonic appearances of primary testicular lymphoma are closely related to its pathologic characteristics, the recognization of their relations contributes to improve the diagnostic value of ultrasound.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the feasibility of using digital imaging processing (DIP)to extract EUS image parameters for the differential diagnosis of autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP)and chronic pancreati-tis (CP).Methods A total of 81 patients with AIP and 100 patients with CP diagnosed from May 2005 to January 2013 were recruited to this study.A total of 105 parameters of 9 categories were extracted from the region of interest by using computer-based techniques. Then the distance between class algorithm and se-quential forward selection (SFS)algorithm were used for a better combination of features.A support vector machine (SVM)predictive model was built, trained, and validated. Results Overall,25 parameters of 5 categories were selected as a better combination of features when the incidence of accurate category was max (90.08%).A total of 181 sample sets were randomly divided into a training set and a testing set by using two different algorithms and 200 random tests were performed. The average accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, the positive and negative predictive values of AIP based on the half-and-half method were (86.04 ± 3.15)%,(83.66 ±6.57)%,(88.54 ±4.37)%,(85.96 ±4.44)% and (87.12 ±4.39)%,respective-ly.Conclusion Computer-aided diagnosis of EUS images is objective and non-invasive,which can improve the accuracy in differentiating AIP from CP.This technology provides a new valuable diagnostic tool for the clinical determination of AIP.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the sonographic features of intrascrotal adenomatoid tumor. Methods The sonographic features of 21 cases with intrascrotal adenomatoid tumor confirmed by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed. Results Twenty-one cases with intrascrotal adenomatoid tumor could be typed into 3 ultrasonic patterns:(1) The homogeneous echo type:15 cases, their ultrasonic features were homogeneous echo, including 5 cases with low echo,8 case with equal echo, and 2 case with high echo;5 cases with testicular albuginea adenomatous tumors were also homogeneous echo,2 cases of equal echo,2 cases of low echo and 1 case of high echo that was posterior echo attenuation slightly.(2) The edge halo type:4 cases, they showed the epididymis or testis sheath round or oval nodules,of which the middle was low echo and the edge is high echo halo ring.(3) The mixed echo type:2 cases, they showed cystic mixed echo of epididymis nodules,1 case with irregular cystic areas and poor sound transmission, while the other one with good sound transmission cystic areas and a small papillae on the wall. Conclusions Sonography is a valuable method for diagnosis of intrascrotal adenomatoid tumor. The edge halo type has sonographic features.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) in diagnosis of esophagogastric varices (EGV) compared with color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI). Methods CDFI and CEUS were performed on 23 variceal patients based on the B mode ultrasound examination. The blood flow of esophageal varices (EV) or gastric varices (GV) displayed with CDFI and CEUS were compared. Results The flow signal demonstration rate of EV with CDFI and CEUS was 42.11% (8/19) and 73.68% (14/19), while that of GV with CDFI and CEUS was 76.47% (13/17) and 94.12% (16/17), respectively. CEUS displayed the flow signal of EV better than CDFI did (χ~2=4.17, P<0.05), but the flow signal demonstration rate of GV was not significantly different (χ~2=1.33, P>0.05). Conclusion CEUS can be used more extensively in clinic practice for diagnosis of EGV.

RESUMO

Objective To discuss the value of three-dimensional (3D) transrectal ultrasound (3DTRUS)in diagnosing prostatic diseases. In this study ,73 patients were examed. Methods 73 patients underwent three-dimensional reconstruction of prostatic ultrasonic echo were performe. At sametime we did 2DTRUS in these 73 patients. We compare these two groups` ultrasonic echo characteristics. Results 3DTRUS can provide more detailed three-dimensional makeup of prostatic lesions when compared with 2DTRUS.Overall informative value 3DTRUS in detection of prostatic lesions was 94.5%,2DTRUS is 83.6%.3DTRUS produced a significantly higher detection rate (P
