RESUMO

Objective@#To understand the current situation of maternal health care in this area, and to provide basis for further improving the quality of maternal and child health care service in this area and in the western region of China.@*Methods@#The clinical data of 8 539 pregnant women from 10 hospitals in Yunnan Province was collected, including the general situation, the situation of medication and intervention during delivery, the mode of delivery and the outcome of delivery.@*Results@#Age (χ2=149.878, P<0.01), number of pregnancies (χ2=12.251, P<0.01), times of delivery (χ2=49.141, P<0.01), number of fetuses (χ2=18.580, P<0.01) and history of pregnancy (χ2=146.688, P<0.01)all affected the incidence of complications during parturition. And whether there are maternal complications will affect the situation of medication (χ2=131.959, P<0.01), induced labor (χ2=13.129, P<0.01) and the length of midwifery service in the delivery room (Z=-14.328, P<0.01).@*Conclusion@#Paying attention to the pregnant women with pregnancy complications/complications could help to reduce the maternal mortality rate, and provide the high-level health care for mothers and children in Yunnan Province and even in the western region of China.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the current situation of occupational burnout of doctors in west China and to explore the relationships among burnout,social support and work-family conflicts.Methods 611 doctors in west China were assessed by Chinese Maslach burnout inventory( CMBI),social support rating scale(SSRS) and work-interference-with-family and family-interference-with-work questionnaire.Results 14.1% of the doctors in west China got high scores on emotional exhaustion(EE),49.4% of them high scores on depersonalization(DP) and 33.1% high scores on reduced personal accomplishment (RPA) ; 27.3% experienced mild burnout,43.7% moderate burnout and 3.3% severe burnout.Doctors who had worked for 5 ~ 10 years and those for 11 ~ 20 years experienced greater EE.Those doctors with bachelor or master degree and intermediate or senior titles got highest level of depersonalization.Doctors in second-class hospitals got highest scores of depersonalization,and those who worked in first-class hospital experienced the highest sense of achievement.Logistic regression analysis showed that social support was a protective factor for burnout,but the conflict between work and family was a risk factor.Conclusion The status of occupational burnout among the doctors in west China is in a grave condition,the balance between family and work,and social supporting is crucial for doctors to resist the occupational burnout.

RESUMO

@#ObjectiveTo explore the mental problems of landless farmer for improving their mental health.MethodsThe questionnaire was used in a survey of 322 landless farmers in east and west China and the impacts of demographic and psychosocial factors on mental problems of landless farmers were also analyzed.ResultsThe landless farmers in China had little symptoms of mental problems, but the status of mental health for landless farmers in west China was worse that those in east China. The different mental symptoms of landless farmers were affected by demographic and psychosocial factors in different degrees.ConclusionThe study reveals that special attention and concern might be attached to the employment and the vocation training of landless farmers, especially to the landless farmers in west China.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the work status of clinical pharmacists in West China Hospital of Sichuan University and to provide rational suggestions for the development and improvement of clinical pharmacy. METHODS: The status of hospital clinical pharmacy and training of clinical pharmacy were studied by a questionnaire survey on 26 clinical pharmacists and an interview on 9 trainees majored in clinical pharmacy. RESULTS: The major tasks for hospital clinical pharmacists were to participate in clinical rounds, conduct pharmacy rounds alone, participate in patients’ treatment and outpatient pharmaceutical care, listen to case discussion, participate case consultation, coordinate with doctors to make medication plan, collect adverse drug reactions and give lecture among physicians etc. The pharmacists were welcome by most of the clinical departments. CONCLUSIONS: Clinical pharmacy in West Hospital of Sichuan University achieved a good beginning, but to achieve a further progress, the focus of clinical pharmacists’ work should be shifted to provide patient-centered pharmaceutical technical service, meanwhile, the support offered and the importance attached by the government as well as the efforts of clinical pharmacists are indispensible.
