RESUMO

[Objective]To investigate the clinical value of different magnetic resonance(MR) pulse sequences in the diagnosis of bone contusion.[Method]Forty-five patients with bone contusion underwent magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).All cases underwent computed radiography(CR),digital radiography(DR)or computed tomography(CT)and no bone fracture were revealed.Complications included swelling、pain and limit activity.The sagittal,coronal and transversal scanning were performed by Siemens Novus1.5T magnetic resonance imaging.The body coil were used on spines and knee coil on knees.MR pulse sequences included spin echo T1WI,Turbo spin echo T2WI,fl-2d T2WI and fat suppressed sequence T2WI.[Result]In 45 cases with bone contusion,44 cases were revealed on spin echo T1WI(97.7%),37 cases on Turbo spin echo T2WI(82.2%),24 cases on fl-2d T2WI(75%),45 cases on fat suppressed sequence T2WI(100%).The fat suppressed sequence T2WI was superior to TSE T2WI(

RESUMO

Objective To discuss the MRI features and its clinical significance of bone contusion in knee joint.Methods MR images of injuries of knee in 40 cases were retrospectively analyzed,the complications were reviewed simultaneously.Results 69 lesions of bone contusion in 40 cases were discovered,of them,Ⅰ type was in 38 and Ⅱ type was in 31, in company with fractures were 24 in 22 cases and ligament injury was in 33 cases.Conclusion The present of bone contusion is prompt to the bone injuries,MRI is of significant value in showing bone contusion and its complications in knee.

RESUMO

Objective:To investigate MR imaging features and diagnostic value of bone contusion. Methods:70 consecutive patients with bone contusion were prospectively analyzed, the time between bone injury and MR examination, sensitivity of MR series to detecting lesions of contusion and distribution of lesions were evaluated; a knee contusion follow-up images and a bone contusion pathologic data was analyzed. Results:MR examination of bone contusion were mostly less than two weeks, but a few patients were longer than one year;STIR,T1WI were more sensitive lesion detection series in bone contusion(100% and 95.7%).Bone contusion mostly occur at knee, and lesions mainly distributed in the margin area of articular(69.8%), in superior portion of vertebral body(74.1%). Bone contusion following-up showed a line-like hyperostosis and osteosclerosis in contusion area. Histological manifestations of bone contusion were local trabecular micro fractures, edema, hemorrhage and injury of fat tissue. Conclusion:MR imaging is a sensitive method of diagnosis in bone contusion, could display position and course of bone contusion. Bone contusion is local trabecular microfractures, early diagnosis can allow patients early treatment, the important diagnostic tool is MRI.
