RESUMO

Background:Hahnemann was always at great pains to emphasis the importance of causative factors in the environment-both physical & emotional which could be held responsible for development of illness. According to homoeopathy, mind, body and soul are trinity of life. So along with exciting and maintaining causes, there is need of studying the psycho -somatic correlations. As in many clinical cases, the state of mother during pregnancy leading to skin condition in child is noted. Aim and Objective: To study the various clinical presentations of Pyoderma. To examine time of occurrence & observe whether it is in antecedence with the onset of pyoderma i.e. .to establishes the precipitating factors of pyoderma. To observe the socio-economical scenario of the patient’s life to establish the maintaining causes of pyoderma. To understand the susceptibility and to establish the role of miasms. Material And Methods:Detailed case study to understand patient as a person & the focus will be on the life space of the child, the parents’ mental state before conception, mother’s state during pregnancy, his interactions with people around him both inside & outside family; possible causative events and classifyingthem into precipitating, exciting & maintaining causes.Result:In all the 30 cases no psychological cause has been found. So we can postulate that pyoderma is predominantly a physical disease where the predisposing maintaining and precipitating causes play a vital role. Conclusion:As prescription was based mainly on the symptoms exhibited, recurrence and understanding of susceptibility, the most frequently used potency, were moderate, in frequent repetition (80%).

Abstract This research report aims to demonstrate how the state of Paraná, Brazil, featured in the transnational context of different schools of biotypological thought present in Brazil as of the 1930s. The city of Curitiba is taken as a case study, where we can identify, in an academic lecture from 1938 and two mental health reports from 1950 and 1951, the observance of Ernst Kretschmer's German constitutional medicine, despite the prevalence of the Italian school of thought in the bibliography on the subject. With this, we seek to identify through what channels and forums the precepts of the German school were legitimized.

RESUMO

In Sasang constitutional medicine, both disease susceptibility and drug response are considered to be related to the characteristics of an individual's physiology and psychology: a theory which is central to traditional Korean medicine. Based on such observable characteristics, Sasang constitutional medicine classifies people into four constitutional types. Genetic studies of Sasang constitution would help reveal the inheritance patterns and models of the typological traits and, moreover, help with traditional medical diagnosis and treatment. To investigate the heritable aspect of Sasang constitution, we collected various pedigrees from South Korea. The study population has 101 pedigrees composed of 593 individuals. The determination of the Sasang constitution type of each individual was performed by doctors who diagnose the Sasang constitutional type of individuals as part of their professional practice. We calculated estimates of familial correlation and heritability. Parent-Offspring pairs showed the strongest familial correlation of Sasang constitutional type, with the correlation values of 0.21 and 0.28, followed by sibling pairs with the value ranging between 0.14 and 0.25. From the heritability analysis conducted with the Variance-Component method, the heritability of TE (Tae-Eum) type, SY (So-Yang) type, and SE (So-Eum) type were 55%, 41%, and 47%, respectively. This pattern of heritability was consistent with different set of analyses, which suggest the robustness of our result. Our result clearly shows that the Sasang constitution type is heritable, and further genetic analysis based on our result will shed light on the biological mechanism of Sasang constitution.
