RESUMO
This article summarized the laws and regulations on the prevention and control of infectious diseases, classification of infectious diseases, and measures for the prevention and control of infectious diseases in Japan. Ⅰt focused on the containment of spread of infectious diseases, classification and categorization in the treatment and quarantine. Ⅰn addition, the response to the novel coronavirus pneumonia in the early stage of transmission in Japan was introduced. Moreover, we propose specific suggestions to improve the system of laws and regulations on the prevention and control of infectious diseases in China, improve the classification of infectious diseases, clarify the rights and obligations of governments at all levels, establish medical facilities with"classification and combination of normal and emergency situations"for the treatment of infectious diseases, practice emergency simulation exercises regularly, and improve risk communication.
RESUMO
From the basic research, key technologies and product development and typical application demonstration, this paper expounds the latest scientific and technological progress made in China in the prevention and control of emergent pathogens and infectious diseases. The future development of science and technology is also prospected.

Due to the extremely challenging climate of the Gulf of Aden and the complicated hygiene conditions of the surrounding countries, the soldiers of PLA Navy escort fleets are easily vulnerable to various regional infectious diseases. It is quite onerous to implement the plague controlling mission. This report described a case of hepatitis A virus infection during an operation of PLA Navy escort fleet on the sea in the Gulf of Aden area, introducing the basic symptoms, main management methods, and putting forward the countermeasures and recommendations from the perspective of infectious disease control and prevention on the sea.
