Metabonomic analysis of plasma biochemical changes in pyrexia rats after treatment with Gegenqinlian decoction, aspirin and itraconazole by UHPLC-FT-ICR-MS / 药物分析学报

A metabonomic approach involving an ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography combined with Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (UHPLC-FT-ICR-MS) was used to investi-gate the changes in the endogenous metabolites in the plasma of rats with yeast-induced pyrexia treated with Gegenqinlian decoction (GQLD), aspirin and itraconazole. The differences in the small molecule profiles of treatment using traditional Chinese medicine, etiological treatment and symptomatic treat-ment were elucidated. Thirty-six plasma metabolites were identified or putatively identified, and the effects of the three medicines on the thirty-six metabolites were studied. Their metabolic pathways indicated that GQLD, aspirin and itraconazole ameliorated the rats with yeast-induced pyrexia pre-dominantly by regulating the metabolisms of phospholipid, sphingolipid, fatty acid oxidation, fatty acid amides, amino acid and glycerolipid in vivo. The pharmacodynamics and metabonomic results showed that the three medicines exhibited the therapeutic effects on pyrexia by regulating the perturbations of multiple metabolisms. The study provided a scientific basis for an in-depth understanding of the ther-apeutic effects of GQLD, aspirin and itraconazole on rats with yeast-induced pyrexia.

Effects of Gegenqinlian Decoction on IL-1β level in patients with chronic periodontitis / 国际检验医学杂志

Objective To investigate the effects of Gegenqinlian Decoction on the IL-1β level in the patients with chronic periodontitis.Methods Seventy patients with chronic periodontitis were divided into the observation group and control group,35 cases in each group.The control group was given the periodontal basic treatment.On the basis of the control group,the observation group was given Gegenqinlian Decoction.The probing depth,attachment level and bacterial plaque index level before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.The levels of IL-1β and IL-6 in serum and gingival crevicular fluid were measured before and after treatment in the two groups.Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 94.29%,which was significantly higher than 71.43% in the control group,the difference was statistically significant (χ2=6.437,P<0.05).After treatment,the probing depth,attachment level and bacterial plaque index in the two groups were significantly decreased (P<0.05),but which in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The levels of IL-1β and IL-6 in serum and gingival crevicular fluid after treatment in the two groups were decreased significantly (P<0.05),but which in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Gegenqinlian decoction can significantly reduce the IL-1β level in the patients with chronic periodontitis,reduces inflammation reaction and improves the therapeutic effect.

Effect of Gegenqinlian decoction combined with berberine in the treatment of biguanides resistant type 2 diabetes in elderly patients in glycosylated hemoglobin and homocysteine / 中国生化药物杂志

Objective To investigate the effects of Gegenqinlian decoction combined with berberine in the treatment of biguanides resistant type 2 diabetes in elderly patients in glycosylated hemoglobin and homocysteine.Methods 82 elderly patients from March 2015 to March 2016 in our hospital who were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes with biguanides resistant were selected,and randomly divided into two groups,41 cases in each groups.Control group receiced routine treatment,experimental group received more with Gegenqinlian Decoction combined with berberine treatment,and all the patients were treated for two weeks.Levels of FPG,2h PG,serum HbA1c,Hcy,hs-CRP,APN,TNF-α,ICAM-1 and clinical efficacy were compared,and the results were analyzed by statistical software SPSS 19 data analysis.ResultsCompared with before treatment,levels of serum FPG,2h PG,HbA1c,Hcy,hs-CRP,TNF-α and ICAM-1decreased in two groups after the treatment(P<0.05),levels of AFN increased(P<0.05),Compared with the control group,levels of serum FPG,2hPG,HbA1c,Hcy,hs-CRP,TNF-α and ICAM-1 in the experiment group were lower(P<0.05),levels of AFN were higher(P<0.05);The total effective rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Gegenqinlian decoction combined with berberine can effectively reduce the levels of FPG,2h PG,HbA1c,Hcy,hs-CRP,TNF-α in serum and ICAM-1 levels,increase serum APN level,and good curative effect,worthy of clinical application and promotion.

Gegenqinlian decoction decreases serum TNF-αlevel in rats with chronic periodontitis and atherosclerosis / 实用口腔医学杂志

Objective:To investigate the effect of gegenqinlian on serum TNF-αlevel in rats with chronic periodontitis and athero-sclerotic.Methods:40 healthy male Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group(N,n =10)and model group(D,n =30).After model establishment and identfication the rats in model group were divided into D1,D2,D3,D4 and D5 groups(n =5) and were administered with saline,metronidazole,atorvastatin,metronidazole combined with atorvastatin and gegenqinlian respec-tively for 4 weeks.Periodontal indexes(PD and AL)were measured,the maximum intima-media thickness of abdominal aorta(IMT) was pathologically examined,TNF-αlevel was detected by ELISA.Results:After treatment PD,AL and serum TNF-αlevels in D2,D3,D4 and D5 groups were significantly lower than those in D1 group(P 0.05).Conclusion:Gegenqinlian can reduce serum level of TNF-αin rats,suggesting that the drug is effective in the treatment of periodontitis with atherosclerosis.

Experimental study on anti-diarrhae effect of Gegenqinlian Decoction and its compounds / 中成药

AIM: To investigate combination principle of Gegenqinlian Decoction through experiment of anti-diarrhea. METHODS: Propelling rate of mouse's small intestine was selected as index on the condition of ink as colour reagent, diarrhea frequence served as second index for orthoganal design on the basis of mouse's diarrhea induced by senna. RESULTS:Coptis chinensis franch and Glycyrrhiza uralensis fisch and reduce drive rate. Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi and Pueraria lobata(wild) ohwi had counteracter against Coptis chinensis franch's effect, while Glycyrrhiza uralensis fisch could enforce Coptis chinensis franch's effect.as to DI, Coptis chinensis franch had anti-diarrhea effect. Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi had counteracter against Coptis chinensis franch's effect, Pueraria lobata(wild) Ohwi could enforce Scutellari, baicalensis Georgi effect, but Glycyrrhiza uralensis fisch could enforce Coptis chinensis's effect after compounding with Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi. CONCLUSION: ~Among the combinantion of Gegenginlian Decoction, as to the pharmcological effects on anti-diarrhea, the best compound is Coptis chinensis franch and Glycyrrhiza uralensis fisch.
