RESUMO
This research aims to identify the moderating role of authentic living in the relationship between feedback received and role performance, mediated by work engagement. The data were based on a convenience sample of Brazilian workers from public and private organizations (N = 1,244). The significant interaction between the feedback and authentic living allowed us to understand that the main effects of feedback on performance take place in individuals with high authentic living. When individuals are more authentic, the information they receive about their performance more strongly affects the motivational process at work itself. This study highlights the positive relationship between work and personal resources, as well as the work engagement and performance on the other, thus contributing to increase the feedback the organizations receive about performance, as well as to create environments that facilitate authenticity.

Background: The purpose of this study was to assess factors associated with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) pre-exposure prophylaxis uptake and retention among sex workers in Nakuru town, Kenya. The theory of planned behavior and the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) risk reduction model served as the study's theoretical framework. Methods: A cross-sectional research design was adopted for this study. The study targeted all the sex workers in Nakuru town who were 18 years old and above. A random sampling technique was used to get the hotspots where the sex workers were to be found. Snow balling sampling technique was then adopted to identify and recruit the study participants. Using primary sources. The quantitative data was obtained from the respondents using a questionnaire. Quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (regression analysis). The findings presented in table and graphical formats. Results: The analysis using multiple linear regression indicated that there was a collective significant effect between the awareness, health system factors, socio economic individual factors and use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) among sex workers. A further analysis showed that, put together, the four predictor variables explained 35.7% of variation on PrEP uptake and retention. Conclusions: The study concluded that while use and none use PrEP can be explained by the four factors evaluated in this study, there are a lot of other factors that influence utilization of PrEP.
RESUMO
ABSTRACT The use of the cytome assay in monitoring studies on children has increased in recent years. For this reason, it is necessary to know the role of possible confounding factors that could affect its outcomes. The objective was to evaluate the influence of some demographic variables and diet on the baseline values of the cytome assay biomarkers in lymphocytes and buccal mucosa cells from a group of Argentine adolescents. Following the calculation of the biomarkers, a multivariate regression analysis including confounders was performed. In lymphocytes it was observed that micronuclei (MNi) had a negative association with a moderate consumption of roots and tubers, while the number of nuclear buds (NBUDs) was higher in minors not exposed to second-hand smoke (SHS). Regarding epithelial cells, MNi had a negative relationship with the intake of tropical fruits and red meat; on the contrary, this parameter increased with the moderate ingestion of legumes. In addition, oral NBUDs had a positive association with citrus and red meat consumption, whereas cereals and oil decreased its frequency. Furthermore, an increased number of binucleated cells was observed for adolescents who ate white meat and an increase in pyknotic cells for those exposed to SHS. These results revealed that in adolescents the baseline level of the cytome assay biomarkers, especially of those related to genotoxicity, can be influenced by exogenous variables, for instance, dietary habits. Thus, such factors need to be considered when carrying out biomonitoring studies on child populations.

Teenage pregnancies are a serious public health issue around the world and Zambia in particular. This is driven by many factors. The general objective of the study was to explore determinants of teenage pregnancy in Chinshinki village, Chipili district. This was a qualitative study, which adopted a phenomenological study design. Data was collected using a focus group discussion with teenage mothers and four key informants. Participants were purposively selected based on the in-depth knowledge and experience of the phenomenon studied. The data collected was analysed using thematic analysis. The study showed that despite being aware of the various methods of contraception, teenagers still have negative attitudes toward their use. Cultural beliefs of not discussing sexual matters at household level have led to teenagers to search for guidance and information from their peers. The study also revealed that the reduced accessibility and awareness on reproductive health information was influenced by the healthcare workers who did not provide this information to the teenagers in their respective communities. The study showed that despite being aware of the various methods of contraception, teenagers are still not willing to fully utilize these methods. This perception stems from misinformation provided by their peers who play an important role regarding teenagers' decisions about engaging in risky sexual behaviour.
Literature has emphasized on food environments centrality in food choices and nutritional status. Objective: identify social perceptions of fathers, mothers and guardians, professionals from educational establishments, municipal officials, and stallholders belonging to the southern area of Santiago de Chile, regarding limitations of healthy diet implementation on school environments. Method: six focus groups were carried out grouping 50 key actors linked to educational establishments using a non-probabilistic sample. A content analysis was applied through thematic coding technique seeking to reveal emerging semantic universes. Results: Nine barriers, or semantics, were identified characterizing limitations to healthy eating habits in school environments: family, school kiosks, leaving school establishments, taste, socioeconomic determinants, public policy, lack of knowledge, publicity, and availability of products without seals. Conclusions: limitations associated with domestic food environment have a significantly high representation (47,9%) and contain an individualized responsibility feature. This explanatory culture is opposed to scientific and academic evidence regarding the functioning of eating behavior, and the centrality of food environments facilitating or hindering healthy food consumption.

RESUMO
ObjectiveHair is an essential skin appendage, primarily composed of keratins and keratin-associated proteins. The protein composition and proportion of hair samples vary among different races and sexes. Currently, there is a lack of efficient methods to extract hair proteins. This study aims to explore the application of quantitative hair proteomics in distinguishing individual hair characteristics. MethodsBased on the exploration of sample processing and lysis buffer using three hair samples, we developed a stable and efficient hair protein extraction method, named PLEE (PTM lab for protein extraction from hair with high efficiency). We used the PLEE method to extract seven human hair samples and performed proteomic experiments on them using in-gel digestion method to produce data for analyzing hair protein composition and proportion among individuals. ResultsA total of 274 proteins were identified, among which 107 proteins were commonly present, and the number of non-common proteins ranged from 57-119, with some samples having unique identification proteins. Using the 107 commonly identified proteins for quantitative protein fractionation analysis, various samples were distinguished by clustering and principal component analysis, and technical repeated samples were merged, indicating the stability of the process. In addition, 10 key proteins (KRT33A, KRTAP9-6, KRT83, KRTAP7-1, KRT32, BLMH, KRT38, KRTAP11-1, NPAS1, KRTAP4-3) with large differences between individuals and stable protein identification within the same individual were screened. ConclusionThe protein composition of hair varies among different individuals, and the 10 selected proteins are expected to be key proteins for distinguishing individual hair characteristics and have significant potential applications in individual identification and criminal investigation.
RESUMO
Sodium-glucose linked transporter 2 inhibitors(SGLT2i) are novel oral hypoglycaemic agents and are widely used for hypoglycemic therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, but differences in the genetic backgrounds of patients often lead to variable responsiveness to drug therapy. By summarizing the pharmacogenomic studies of SGLT2i, the article found that the genetic variants of UGT1A9, UGT2B4, SLC5A2, ABCB1, PNPLA3 and WFS1 may influence the pharmacokinetics of SGLT2i and the external hypoglycemic effects of SGLT2i in improving non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, weight loss and so on, but there is no clinical evidence that genetic polymorphisms affect the hypoglycemic efficacy of SGLT2i.

Method: cross-sectional study with 227 residents. E.P.I.covid-19 Brasil-adapted version for residents". Bivariate analysis, Fisher chi-square/exact test and calculation of the prevalence ratio were performed. Research was approved by the Ethics Committee for Research with Human Beings. Results: they carried out training activities on PPE (59.9%). Association between use of surgical mask (p≤0.01) and age; program concentration area and use of cap (p≤0.01) and surgical mask (p=0.04); performance of training activities and use of surgical mask (p=0.02) and N95 (p≤0.01). Adherence to PPE ranged from 0% to 67%. Conclusion: factors associated with the proper use of personal protective equipment were age, area of program concentration, and performance of training activities. There were weaknesses in adherence. It is suggested to strengthen the theme of biosafety in the residence.

ABSTRACT Purpose to investigate the communicative, social, and emotional impacts generated by adopting protective measures against COVID-19 and associate them with the degree of hearing loss and the time of use of hearing aids. Methods cross-sectional quantitative study, with 72 individuals, divided into adults and older adults, with bilateral hearing loss up to moderately severe degree, users of hearing aids fitted before the pandemic in a public hearing health program who had maintained effective use of the devices. The participants were invited to participate in the study while waiting for an appointment and signed the consent form. After that, medical records were accessed to collect information about audiological profiles and the fitting/use of hearing aids. Afterward, a protocol with objective questions was orally applied in a silent room. Data were tabulated and subjected to Equality of Two Proportions and Chi-Square statistical tests. Results in both groups, a significant number of users had communication impacted by the use of masks and by social distancing, with difficulty with digital technologies (cell phones/computers) predominating among adults, while older adults more commonly experienced communicative impairments during video calls. The communicative impediment existed regardless of the audiological profile and device use time. When asked if they stopped communicating and if the measures affected their social life, the sample was divided between "yes/sometimes" and "no". As for the emotional impact of protective measures, there was a greater impact among adults. Conclusion protective measures affected the communication of hearing aids users but did not discourage communicative exchanges and social interactions for approximately half of the sample, with the emotional impact being more evident in adults. Such difficulties were not related to the audiological profile and daily use of the devices.
