RESUMO

Ischemia reperfusion injury (IRI) is a multistep pathophysiological process involving a complex of multi-factors.To alleviate the IRI is of great importance in clinical liver transplantation, especially for marginal donor livers. This article overviewed the protective strategies and the latest progress for alleviation of IRI in three stages of liver transplantation, which includes liver procurement, preservation and reperfusion.

RESUMO

Objective To probe the effects of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-?B) on cell apoptosis and left ventricular segmental function in acute ischemia repeffusion in dogs.Method Twenty-four dogs were randomly divided into three groups:without left anterior artery (lAD) ligation group (C group),LAD was occluded 30 min following reperfusion 120 minutes in isehemical reperfusion group (IR group),and dogs were administered with PDTC before LAD ligation in ischemical reperfusion plus pyorrole dithitocarbamate group (PDTC group). The left ventricular segmental function was detected by echo cardiography using strain rate anlysis software.EF measured by Simpson's method.Cardiac myocyte apoptosis numbers were determined by terminal deoxynudeotidy transferease-mediated biotinylated deoxyuridine triphosphate nick end labeling (TUNEL).lmmunohistochemistry and western-blot anylysis of NF-?B protein expression. Results NF-?B was obviously expression on injury myocardium of IR group, and increased significantly in contrast to control group (P0.05)Conclusions NF-?B might play an important role in acute myocardial ischemia reperfusion.PDTC reduces myocardial iscbemia/repeffasion injury by preventing expression of factor NF-?B.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the protective effects and mechanism of nitric oxide(NO) inhalation on rabbit lung ischemia/reperfusion injury. Methods Total 32 Japanese white rabbits were randomly divided into four groups, each group containing 8 rabbits. In group A, animals received only thoracotomy. In group B, after animals left chest were opened, their left main pulmonary arteries were occluded for 2h, then reperfused for another 2h. In group C, animal inhaled 20 ppm NO for 30min since the eleventh minute after reperfusion. In group D, animal inhaled 60ppm NO for 30min since the eleventh minutes after reperfusion. The levels of blood PaO 2, cGMP, slCAM-1, XOD and MDA were measured before operation and after reperfusion. The pathologic changes of left lung was observed. The wet/dry (W/D) weight ratio of left lung tissue was measured. Results Both PaO 2 and cGMP levels after reperfusion in group B were much lower than that in groups A, C and D(P
