Caso Clínico: Reabilitação Cerâmica Anterior com Sistema CAD/CAM / Anterior Rehabilitation with CAD/CAM System: Case Report

Devido a constante busca por um sorriso harmônico, o nível de exigência e a expectativa dos pacientes tornam-se elevados, propiciando o desenvolvimento de novos materiais e técnicas odontológicas que visam procedimentos mais conservadores e resultados cada vez mais previsíveis esteticamente. As técnicas com Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) têm ocupado lugar de destaque na Odontologia. Isso se deve ao fato de que o projeto auxiliado por computador ou fabricação assistida por computador oferece um método de restauração que diminui o risco de erro humano e fornece resultados altamente estéticos em um tempo clínico reduzido, embora com custos relativamente altos. O objetivo do presente estudo é apresentar, através de um relato de caso clínico, uma reabilitação estética por meio da aplicação prática do sistema CAD / CAM. Com a finalização do caso foi possível observar melhora estética através da confecção das coroas cerâmicas anteriores e melhora da condição oclusal com a confecção de prótese removível superior, a qual viabiliza uma maior durabilidade das coroas cerâmicas, pois distribui melhor as cargas oclusais entre os elementos, evitando cargas excessivas no local das novas restaurações indiretas. Este relato de caso foi realizado em duas sessões odontológicas alcançando satisfação estética da paciente. Possui um acompanhamento de curto prazo, portanto, são necessários casos com acompanhamento a longo prazo para comprovar o sucesso dessa técnica. Pode-se considerar uma limitação o elevado custo tecnológico, porém é notório avanço na odontologia para melhorar a qualidade no tratamento em períodos extremamente curtos.

Due to the constant search for a harmonic smile, the level of demand and the expectations of patients become high, enabling the development of new materials and dental techniques that aim at more conservative procedures and more and more predictable results aesthetically. Techniques with Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD / CAM) have occupied a prominent place in Dentistry. This is due to the fact that computer aided design or computer aided manufacturing offers a restoration method that lowers the risk of human error and provides highly aesthetic results in a reduced clinical time, albeit at relatively high costs. The objective of the present study is to present, through a clinical case report, an aesthetic rehabilitation through the practical application of the CAD / CAM system. With the completion of the case, it was possible to observe aesthetic improvement through the preparation of the anterior ceramic crowns and improvement of the occlusal condition with the manufacture of a removable upper prosthesis, which enables greater durability of the ceramic crowns, as it better distributes the occlusal loads among the elements, avoiding excessive loads at the site of new indirect restorations. This case report was carried out in two dental sessions, achieving patient aesthetic satisfaction. It has a short-term follow-up, therefore, cases with long-term follow- up are necessary to prove the success of this technique. The high technological cost can be considered a limitation, but there is a notable advance in Dentistry to improve the quality of treatment in extremely short periods.

Rehabilitación protésica de una paciente con amelogénesis imperfecta / Prosthetic rehabilitation of a female patient with imperfect amelogenesis

Se describe el caso clínico de una paciente de 14 años de edad, quien fue remitida por el estomatólogo general integral al Centro de Rehabilitación de Prótesis Bucomaxilofacial de Santiago de Cuba para efectuar rehabilitación protésica. Al examen físico intrabucal se observaron dientes permanentes (11, 12, 13, 21, 22 y 23) de color anormal y manchas marronas en toda la superficie del esmalte, lo cual fue diagnosticado como una amelogénesis del tipo hipocalcificado. Se decidió realizar restauraciones individuales de coronas fundas provisionales de acrílico para mejorar su función y estética dental.

The case report of a 14 years patient is described who was referred by the general comprehensive stomatologist to the Oral and Maxillofacial Prosthesis Rehabilitation Center in Santiago de Cuba for prosthetic rehabilitation. Abnormal color and brown stains in the whole surface of the enamel of her permanent teeth were observed during the intraoral physical exam (11, 12, 13, 21, 22 and 23), which was diagnosed as an amelogenesis of hypocalcified type. It was decided to carry out individual restorations of provisional cases crowns with acrylic to improve their function and dental aesthetics.

Consideraciones bioéticas sobre la competencia asistencial para la rehabilitación implantoprotésica en el adulto mayor / Bioethical considerations on the assistance competence for the prosthesis implant rehabilitation in the elderly

Las investigaciones científicas y el desarrollo social han proporcionado una mirada nueva para enfocar la vida y, junto a ello, los criterios novedosos y necesarios en el campo de la ética, especialmente en todas las disciplinas de las ciencias médicas. A tales efectos, en el presente artículo se exponen algunos aspectos relacionados con los principios de la bioética en Estomatología, con el objetivo de analizar los factores objetivos y subjetivos para la rehabilitación implantoprotésica en el adulto mayor, teniendo en cuenta que la mayoría de las veces los resultados no son satisfactorios, influenciado por factores subjetivos.

Scientific investigations and social development have provided a new sight to focus life and, together with this, the novel and necessary approaches in the field of ethics, especially in all disciplines of the medical sciences. To such effects, some aspects related to the principles of bioethics in Stomatology are exposed in this work, with the aim of analyzing the objective and subjective factors for the prosthesis implant rehabilitation in the elderly, keeping in mind that most of the times the results are not satisfactory, influenced by subjective factors

A study of rehabilitation of the non ideal stumps impairing prosthesis dressing / 中国康复理论与实践

@#Only by dressing the prosthesis can they play their compensatory functions for the amputees.The effectiveness of the compensatory is closely related to the condition of the stumps.Because of the complications,it is impossible to dress prosthesis to some stumps.This paper is a studying discussion on the rehabilitation of the non ideal stumps impairing prosthesis dressing,which of the 81 cases among the 164 amputees hospitalized in China Rehabilitation Research Center during the last 8 years.The paper advances the conception of the non ideal stumps impairing prosthesis dressing;the categories of non ideal stumps and their impairment to the prosthesis dressing and the principle and methods of the rehabilitation and the improvement of the making of the prosthesis and the method of the operations. To improve the conditions of the non ideal stumps,a good and comfortable prosthesis will be dressed.The compensatory functions will be satisfactorily played.

The Study on Problem of the Prosthesis Fitting and the Rehabilitation for Double above Knee Amputees / 中国康复理论与实践

@#The prosthesis fitting and the rehabilitation are discussed in this paper for 6 cases double above knee amputees hospitalized in the past six years. The author suggest that the prosthesis fitting and rehabilitation training are different between double and single above knee amputees. This paper expounds particularly the structure of temporary stubbie with peculiarity of rocker feet; the distinct demand of double knee joint of permanent prosthesis with peculiarity of artificial feet;the use of permanent stubbie in daily living. The important of physical strength training, the standing balance training, the walking functional training, some relative functional movement training and on problem of the amputees sitting wheelchair backward fall with preventive measures has been emphasized.Keyworks:amputation; prosthesis; rehabilitation
