RESUMO

Objective:To explore the feasibility and application value of case-based learning (CBL) combined with clinical pathway in thoracic surgery practice teaching.Methods:A total of 30 clinical undergraduate students who practiced from January 2018 to August 2018 were selected and randomly divided into the traditional group and the research group. The traditional group used traditional teaching mode, while the research group adopted the CBL combined with clinical pathway teaching. The scores of theoretical examination and practice skills assessment and the case analysis ability of the two groups were compared at the time of department. In addition, the evaluation of the teaching effect of the two groups of teachers and students was observed through anonymous questionnaires. SPSS 21.0 was used for t-test and Chi-square test. Results:The scores of the students in the research group were better than those in the traditional group, including score of theoretical examination [(88.20±4.02) vs. (80.76±4.62), P<0.001], score of practice skills assessment [(90.80±2.16) vs. (84.80±3.07), P<0.001] and case analysis ability [(89.80±3.34) vs. (81.86±4.31), P<0.001]. The differences were statistically significant. At the same time, the questionnaire showed that the research group was superior to the traditional group in improving students' learning interest, clinical skills, case analysis ability, clinical communication ability, theoretical knowledge understanding and clinical thinking ability, with a statistically significant difference ( P<0.05). While the two groups had no statistically significant difference in students' satisfaction with teachers ( P=0.083). Conclusion:The CBL method combined with clinical pathway teaching method can improve the teaching effect of thoracic surgery practice, which is worth popularizing.

RESUMO

The glasses-free three dimensional(3D) endoscopic display system provides the surgeon with the depth information of the minimally invasive surgery scene obtained from the binocular perspective, which can effectively relieve the surgeon's posture fatigue and visual fatigue during the long-term surgery, and assist in the operation of surgical instruments more accurately to reduce the damage to the surrounding tissues of the operation area. However, the glasses-free 3D display device currently has the problem of a narrow optimal viewing zone and easy crosstalk, especially in the surgical teaching application scenario, which performs poorly. In order to overcome the limitation of the narrower field of view, we introduce deep learning algorithms to detect and locate multiple faces, fine-tune the 3D display grating of the endoscope, rearrange pixels, and change the best view area, so that more people can get the best view. The experimental results show that the face detection accuracy of the method is 97.88%, and the detection time is 135 frames/ms, which achieves high accuracy while maintaining real-time performance.

RESUMO

In view of the problems existing in the educational philosophy of medical colleges in China, such as the separation of humanistic knowledge and medical knowledge, the small amount of humanities courses in curriculum arrangement, and the monotonous and boring teaching method of outdated teaching content, this study attempts to optimize the curriculum and increase the proportion of humanities courses; update teaching methods to allow new technologies and new ideas to activate the classroom; strengthen the application of humanistic knowledge in practice according to the characteristics of surgery teaching, so that students can experience humanistic quality education in a real environment; create a good atmosphere for the cultivation of humanistic quality of surgeons, so that students can always feel the edification of humanistic spirit.

RESUMO

Based on the Nanshan class of clinical medicine in Guangzhou Medical University, the center established an interest-oriented thoracic surgery learning collaboration group. All recruited students received the full-range cultivation, including "MDT" learning collaboration with characteristics of early clinical practice, early scientific research, English training and thoracic surgery collaboration group as thecore, accelerated clinical skills training under the naked-eye 3D thoracoscopic system, and scientific research thinking which recommended by new media — "WeChat public platform". A total of 10 undergraduate students from 2013 to 2017 batch were recruited into the this group and they showed advantages in clinical technique, scientific research and higher education enrollment after cultivation, demonstrating that part of the clinical teaching and scientific research thinking of thoracic surgery gave to undergraduates in advance can pave the way for the training of thoracic surgeons and formulate more detailed and individualized programs to teach students in accordance with their aptitude in the future.

RESUMO

Anatomy and surgery teaching has always been a difficulty in clinical medical education. In particular, the anatomy and surgery teaching under the endoscope is more difficult to learn and under-stand because of the visual differences with the direct vision. If the students misunderstand, it may lead to the severe surgical complications. We applied the image-guidance technology in the teaching of rhinology endoscope surgery, which can help teachers to teach the sinonasal anatomical structure and give an accurate explanation of surgical procedures. According to the questionnaire survey, 96.23% (51/53) of the students thought the method was effective and clear, and 98.11% (52/53) of them thought the method was better than the traditional teaching method of nasal endoscope. By this technology, the students can acquire a deeper understanding of the anatomy and surgery procedure. It especially fits the surgery teaching of the sinonasal occupying lesion.

RESUMO

Objective:To establish a new method of designing and fabricating a facial simulation model of infant cleft lip for lip repair simulation and surgery teaching. Methods: Using latest three-dimensional scanning, reversed engineering and rapid prototyping techniques to fulfill the individual design and rapid auto-manufacture for the facial model of the cleft lip infants. With the new chromatosis technique and special silicone material of Maxillofacial Prosthetics the simulative face of infant cleft lip were fabricated. The new simulation model was used for lip repair surgery teaching. Results: The vivid faical data was successfully acquired by scanner and then designed by software. The solid plastic partern of patient's face was fabricated by machine, which was eventually replaced by maxillofaical silicon. The surgeon applied it for pre-surgery simulation and surgery teaching. Conclusion: This study successfully designed and fabricated the new simulation model of cleft lip infant's face, which can be a ideal training model for lip repair surgery teaching.

RESUMO

A comparison teaching experiment was carried out in grade 2001 and grade 2002.The students majoring in clinical medicine in these two grades were taught surgery with graphical approach and traditional method respectively.The student number,the test marks and the survey by questionnaire show that graphical teaching approach is more attractive with its visualization and originality it can stimulate students' interests in learning,develop their thinking and improve their clinical analytic ability.It is an important approach to improve clinical teaching quality to lay a good foundation for students before their clinical practice.
